I'm a long time cyclist and a local Melburnian. I would like to sincerely apologise for the bullying targeted towards you and your ethnicity. The actions of a few fools is not a real reflection of how and what Melbourne and it's people are really like. Great channel and great content. Ride on and stay safe!✌🇭🇲
I have to second this. In particular the apology. I don't think that as a community we have done enough to really stamp out racism, and we've been far too complacent as media pundits and politicians have used dishonest propaganda, and race baiting that has contributed to these problems.
I feel sorry that you are apologizing as it's not your fault. Actually, when I walked, it never happened. It happened only when I am on a bike.... I thought there was some sort of game to bully people on a bike between young people. I really don't like it as I love being on a bike.. Hope they stop this game one day.
@@universewithme oh, yes, I've experienced that too. It's such bullshit. It's made it hard for me to maintain the confidence to keep riding on major roads. I thought this thread was more referring to the racialisation of the pandemic thing, which is something that I think should have been resisted more!
@@universewithme we have to apologise to you regardless since they didn't irrelevant of who's at fault. It's also the right thing to do. We dont tolerate this kind of behaviour here. Especially on a bike riding our streets and roads. You are also a guest in our city. We don't treat our guests or anyone else with disrespect on a bike or off a bike. Some drivers and pedestrians just have bad attitudes. Wish I could've seen you here, my home is open to you and other world cyclists...thank you for the great vlogs.
Thank you for sharing. I was wondering they only bully me... but so they just basically made fun of all kinds of cyclists? When I walked, I didn't get this bullying, it happened always when I was on a bike. Sad...

Great solo cycling adventure!
Hi Jin! Loved the video! I admire you and your positive life loving attitude! So sorry to hear that the asian bullying is also occurring in Australia. Wish I could tour with you for a couple of weeks..
In 2007 (summer) I rode a bike from Sydney to Perth, through the Kosciuszko National Park, after that I also came across a sandy road, I dragged the bike maybe 20km.
What an adventure! I love your videos!

Hi Jin, we love your videos here in Canada. It would be nice if you went into a bit more technical details about the bikes you use. The gears, the tires, the frame, components, etc. Hope you make it to Canada one day! Stay safe!
