Dang FINALLY, I was wondering when this video would drop again. I hope UA-cam doesn’t hate on you this time. Nonetheless you’re an inspiration to me man ✊🏾 Keep doing your thing!
So, the first two Step Up movies were about culture clash between urban and classical dance... which was a backdrop for the romance between the two leads. I'd say keep watching, because the later Step Up movies start to become more and more about dance battles, and less and less about the classism stuff and corny romance (though that never goes away unfortunately, and the later leads have waaaaaaay less chemistry than Channing and Jenna). The 2nd one introduces Moose, a fan-favorite character who's genuinely talented, and from 2 on out, pretty much carries the whole franchise on his back.
I hope he at least does part 2 that’s the best one in my opinion especially cause that dance battle at the end (also I agree Moose Carries by himself alone w his moves)
This was one of my favorite movies growing up and the fact that Channing and Jenna got married because of this made me so happy.😩😩 (yes, I know they’re divorced☹️)
For anyone who doesn’t know the two violinists featured in the movie are actually irl brothers and were a music duo called Nuttin But Stringz who made classical/hip-hop/R&B fusion music. They’re super talented, and I believe performed on AGT and at Obama’s inauguration too. I’ve been listening to them since I was in high school and as a fellow violinist and New Yorker wanted to be like them so bad lol. I’m still obsessed with their original song Thunder and cover of Dance With My Father by Luther Vandross.
Channing was a solid 26 years old when this came out 😂 and yeah Jenna and Channing were married during that Lip Sync battle episode 😭 they got divorced in 2019
Fun fact Channing always chooses his parts to conquer a fear of his. As in real life he's a hypochondriac. This role was a fear of dancing. Magic Mike was a fear of being naked in public. Ect.
At the very least, you gotta react to Step Up 2 the Streets for the #bingers. But yeah, this movie basically made Channing and Jenna who they are now, but I think Channing’s first big movie was She’s The Man with Amanda Bynes, which you reacted to. I forgot how hard the soundtrack hits for this movie.
Aside from being in some of missy Elliot’s music videos, Alyson was also in both camp rock movies, suite life of Zach and Cody, cheaper by the dozen, she played Isabella on Phineas and Ferb, and an episode of Drake and Josh
@@virlinehonore9767 Yeah she was on a season 3 episode 31. The episode where Cory gets a short actor role on a show (within the show). And she played a main actress on the show, who had to do a kissing scene, but didn't want to.
I was a dancer growing up and dance movies like these were my fave. There's always minimal plot that makes little sense, bad writing, and fun dance numbers that range from "oh honey noooo" to "yaaaaassssss get it!" 😂
2, 3, 4, and I think 5 are way bigger in production and choreography (big time ppl working on it). Much more primarily hip hop focused. I think 2 & maybe 3 are still set in the school. After that, ppl are grown up in the real world stuff. I think that girl you like that’s Channing’s foster sister is in most of the installment. It’s been years since I’ve watched these. I may have to go back and binge, lol.
The MyScene doll comment made me literally laugh out loud hahaha. We clearly grew up in the same era 😂 But my husband unfortunately misses the era of the baggy ass clothes... I think it's a nostalgia thing but it's bad haha.
This was Channing's first movie as a protagonist, and he was 26. He ended up marrying Jenna Dewan (main actress of this movie) but they divorced in 2019.
Things Billy should note: 1. Channing and Jenna were together n married for years. 2. Magic Mike was based on Channing background 3. Say Goodbye and Give it Up were fir Step Ups soundtrack
Coming from being a performing arts student at college, I loved how this movie incorporated the discipline of ballet/jazz etc but brought in the flow of the street styles. I like step up 2, 4and I liked 5 cut of the Mashup of people from all the other 4.
on another note, the step up movies do feature different actors most of the time. sometimes there’ll be a recurring character or two, but no one is in every single movie.🤷🏼♀️ P.S. you don’t know this guy, but i loooove moose. he’s my favorite character throughout the whole step up-series. obviously, he’s not in this one, though... but he’ll be introduced in the sequel, if you end up continuing this! not gonna lie, the acting in these movies aren’t exactly top tier quality, but i pretty much just watch ‘em for those final dance battles. they’re epic; so goddamn impressive. I love the final dance scene of this movie! #Bingers Date Night, Bride Wars, Letters to Juliet, Couples Retreat, Train to Busan, Rush Hour Trilogy, Grease 1 & 2, The Parent Trap, The Cheetah Girls Trilogy, Lemonade Mouth, The Hannah Montana Movie
Definitely looking forward to watching this commentary reaction. This one of my favorite Channing Tatum movies. And can't wait to see what you think of it. I'm getting my nightly large glass of water getting cold in the refrigerator for when I watch this video. I highly recommend the 2012 movie "Magic Mike" and the 2015 sequel "Magic Mike XXL". #Bingers
The main thing I can remember from this movie is how 🔥🔥🔥 the soundtrack to this movie . The song Give it up to Me by Sean Paul and Keyshia Cole had me in a chokehold lol
Yes I love Give it up to me and they are in the video dancing at the school Jenna and Channing and the best friend I also love the song on the soundtrack Get Up
I am a big fan of the Step Up movies! I've seen all of them, the 2 and 3 are definitely the best ones in the series so I do hope you end up doing at least those two.
Honestly the way u were underwhelmed by this is how I felt about You Got Served. And I watch dance movies religiously. One of the biggest mistakes this movie made was not making Mario dance. Lol
Wait I know I already commented. But I just rewatched step up 2 and could literally imagine the jokes you’d make. It’s good but there is so much material at least in the beginning 😂😂😂
Billy, OMG!! The step up movies are my favorite, even if there are some cringe scenes, they have a special spot on my heart. I never imagined that you would react to it. Please do more, you gonna love ma boy Moose, he kills it. 💚💚💚💚💚 🇧🇷
There's a movie called Take the Lead that this actress/dancer also appears in. You should react to it - it's based on a great true story but it's VERY 2000s.
"this movie is bad already and i'm only 4 minutes in." Ugh Billy we cant be friends if you dont like this movieeee😫 lol jk you gotta react to more dance/romance films like Stomp The Yard. That was the shit and started my crush on Megan Good where i relaxed i was bisexual. 🤣😍 #BillyBinges *Edit* : and no this isnt the only role Mario played. He was in 'Freedom Writers' and the tv series 'Empire'. 💯
This is what led to Channing and Jeanna getting married and now they’re divorced. But her dance from Magic Mike on Lip Sync Battle really was incredible
The other Step Up movies has different protagonists and they also take in different locations. I don't remember where the second one takes place, but I do remember the 3rd one takes place in NY, the fourth one takes place in Florida, and fifth one (which is the last one) takes place in Las Vegas. The choreography gets better, but the acting is a little so so. Not going to lie lol. I would still recommend watching the rest of the Step up movies mostly because of Moose. His dancing was 👌.
the step ups were a cultural moment in the 2000s. they do just follow corny romance storylines but I think 3 and 4 are my favorite to watch for the dance choreo. They'll get you HYPE
You definitely should do the rest just to see how much better the dancing gets...I feel like this series thought they had to tell great stories with great acting but all we really needed was dope dance scenes🤣
I was worried you were gonna be cynical about the Sunset Dance - glad you were feeling it. It was pretty magical how they timed the routine down to catch the sunset, and all the real emotion that was fed into the performances Channing and Jenna gave. They were REALLY falling in love. 🤩
I hope you see this. You should react to Center Stage. It's about a group of young ballet dancers from various backgrounds who enroll at the fictitious American Ballet Academy in New York City. One of the main characters is played by Zoë Saldana. There is a love triangle in it and there will be some kissing so prepare your kissing analogies. You'll recognize some of the music I'm pretty sure. Also, Mandy Moore (the girl who made fun of Mia in Princess Diaries, was Rapunzel in Tangled and was a singer in the 2000s) has a song in the movie.
Of course Billy didn't remember that they were married when he brought up their lip sync battle 🤣. I don't think Billy would last if yall make him watch Step Up 2 that was definitely the cringiest, even if it was the intro to Moose.
I’m telling you billy step up 2 is even better trust me as the trilogy goes on especially 2 & 3 in my opinion the dancing sequences and the dancing in itself gets even better #billybinges. You’ve already started the trilogy might as well finish it 😏
This movie was one of the things that got me into dance as a child, I did hip hop, ballet, jazz, tap and then went to a dance high school, watched it a million times!! Really hope ya enjoy it! 🤍🤍🤍 mad love n respect Billy and the community you’ve built dude!
I absolutely loved the step up series. The 2nd was my favorite. But they got me into dance and dance crews. Especially from 2 and onward. The choreography gets better and more dance battle/dance crew related
I love your commentary & reactions. Always puts a smile on my face. I recommend watching & reacting to Step Up 2: The Streets & Step Up 3, then go from there to see how you feel about the series. Keep on doing what you do! It does make everyone who watch feel happy & good! Don’t forget to take time for yourself though!

You don't but I loved this movie so much, still do. If you're doing the rest of the Step Up movies, I can't wait for you to meet Moose, my favorite Step Up character (and many others' as well, judging by the other comments). Alyson Stoner also comes back! Now, a movie that I hope you enjoy: #bingers Swing Kids (2018, South Korean), it also involves dancing!
Mario, Channing ,Jenna, Drew! Poor Sweet Skinny! Tyler's Little Sis is really good dancer , shes a extra character in most the StepUp movie . Camille( Alyson Stoner.) Also so cute in this Stepup.😰😱😇😢🥰💃📽️
You always find the right time to have a video premiere. My honest opinion is that this movie was a drag. I only watched the dance scene at the end. Thank you Billy
This one is definitely the most boring of the series. They get less "plot focused" as it goes on. They're 80% dance movies with some basic story lines haha.
I loved your reaction to the movie that made me wanna pursue dance. Also, channing tatum and jenna dewan met on this film and fell in love. They were married for years (especially when they did Lip Sync Battle together) and they have a couple of kids together. Can't wait to see more reactions to dance movies tbh!
The fact that they fell in love here 🥹💘 Btw Billy continuously mentioning Jenna’s Pony performance makes me question if he knows that she was replicating her husband’s? I looooooove that performance and they both could get ME pregnant tbh.
If you watch Step Up 2: The Streets, they introduce a Character named Moose, and he has to be one of the best movie dancers, and he carries the rest of the franchise. I do hope you check it out.
Dance used to be my life. I danced competitively all through middle, high, and college. Then taught for 2 dance companies for 3 years and got to be a recruiter for another helping find students to receive scholarships. This, Save the Last Dance and Center Stage used to be some of my favorite dance movies! Should definitely do reactions to those too! 💚
I think the Step up movies get better from here 😭😂 I honestly be forgetting that Channing was in Step Up tbh 😭I don’t watch this one but at all. When Moose is introduced, that’s when things get good.
This movie was one of my favorites as a teenager 🤣🤣 I was a dancer so i loved it. Plus Channing Tatum is hot. When they got married and had a baby I was happy then they got divorced I was eh lol. But the dancing and the music is just… omg. I love it still lol. And no Channing Tatum was 26 when this was made lol. He was born in 1980. Mario has actually been acting since early 2000s. Lol. He’s been in 26 different projects and not he’s on empire right now.

Ik I'm late but Channing Tatum started as a dancer before he started acting that's why he was in the first few step up movies.
This movie is also the reason I fell in love with Channing Tatum and Mario…😭🥰 I have no shame in it😩
I feel bad for Mario he didn’t do much and get big
really wanna see your reaction to more step up movies
I loved your reaction to the movie that made me wanna pursue dance. Also, channing tatum and jenna dewan met on this film and fell in love. They were married for years (especially when they did Lip Sync Battle together) and they have a couple of kids together. Can't wait to see more reactions to dance movies tbh!
Really looking forward to you watching step up 4!!!
I'm so excited for this I was on instantly when I got notified last time you can't be playing with my heart like that
I only want billy to continue step up just so he can meet moose. I know he’s gonna love him 😭
The fact that they fell in love here 🥹💘
Btw Billy continuously mentioning Jenna’s Pony performance makes me question if he knows that she was replicating her husband’s? I looooooove that performance and they both could get ME pregnant tbh.
This movie, and the fact that he also used to be a exotic dancer is what got him the role in Magic Mike
I liked the Step Up movies. I started to up listening to jazz and classical music when I was eight. I want Billy to watch Ever After. #bingers
