When I created my thief character I chosen khajiit for bonus to theft and less detection radius. I also use Darloc Brae as it gives me literarely eturnal sneak and eturnal stealth (both stamina and magica recovery is higher then I use for stealth and sneak) and as vampire I can run in sneak/stealth. Also it heals my vamp at stage 4. For me that is the best combination. Second is night mother set. Found it very easy and relaxing to steal things with that character.
For farming I change night mother for jailbracker+wild hunt and just run around in sneak.

2.45 - Khajiit provide the best reduction in stealth radius. My farming thief is running Darloc Brae (5), Night Terror (3), & Night Mother's Embrace (5) and has a -1.0 to stealth detection radius, meaning he's effectively invisible to detection. I've had mobs turn around and walk right into me and it doesn't break my stealth.
Nice combo with terror. Brings back Skyrim vibes...only thing I wonder is, wouldn't that be 13 set items?
@@solarbiter5446 yeah. I misspoke. I use 4pieces of Darloc Brae. I was only interested in the sneak reduction benefits. Using 2 handers also counted as 2 units in set bonus so for DB, I only needed 2 additional pieces (staff & Rings, I believe).
@@JamieWilkinson1983 nice choice with the Darloc Brae - I'm using the 5 piece set with 5 NM Embrace, saving 2 slots for the Ring of Wild Hunt and a random 1 piece
detection radius is very low, and I really like the 5 piece effect of Darloc Brae as it allows for near-infinite Invisibility casting without having to sprint. It also provides a way for Stage 4 vampires to regen health, which is handy if you're doing combat stuff like delves and quests on your trek
shadowy supplier gives you a chance to get a disguise so you can move around freely despite not having a bounty, counterfeit pardons to wipe out 500 of bounty, leniency edicts to get rid of 1k of bounty, and invisibility potions. It's definitely worth 1 skill point especially for people who are newer to stealing and may get caught more often.

Bro.... 5 Night Mother , 4 Darloc Brea and 3 Night Terror... Kahjiit Nightblade , Vampire..... I can have 100,000 bounty and sneak directly in front of guards and they can't see me... LoL.! I pull out my guitar and play 'em a song....even if a guard messes with you , you just hit them with a good ol' Stupify (which won't increase bounty) and use Shadow Cloak to quickly escape... Guards are the least of a good thieves problems , our biggest problem is running out of lockpicks...

Darloc Brae + Night's Silence on a Khajiit nightblade is what I usually run. You lose some movement speed overall but can go perma-invisible and never go out of sneak and get constantly healed while at it if you have half-decent stam+mag recovery, also you sneak just as fast as walking. So it's ideal for TG/DB tasks, node farming and thieving.
Plus it doesn't require being a vampire if you want to be a werewolf on your character for easier combat scenarios when you are forced to fight with non-combat gear
Any alternative to harvest map for console players? Specifically for chests and other stuff that we can't set up tags for.
Wouldnt you want 75 in the shadow tree for treasure hunter? Or does that only work for gear in chests? And you dont want gear, just mats?

There's also an armor set you can craft that eliminates the movement speed of sneaking. I don't quite remember the name of the set. It can be crafted in stonefalls and you only need 2 crafting traits to make it. Combine that with night mother on a Khajiit night blade and you're good.
I would invest in Alchemy and make invisibility potions. They make you invisible long enough to pick locks so they allow you to loot lockboxes right in front of venders without getting caught.

You do not any Keen Eye passives if you install the addon HarvestMap. You can set it in 3D pin settings to show only nodes that have resources.

Similar build that I use but instead of NM I use Darloc's, the regen is what interested me the most while in sneak mode
i personlly like having stuff like Undo and Hypnotize on back bar for thos, "oh shit" situations :p a dollar for everytime i turn a corner into a guard haha

@Kyle Game Breton is an interesting but nice choice. Is your character a stamina Nightblade? If so the Breton magic passives must really help with some stealthy Nightblade skills

you should change the night mother's daggers with the bow as there's the passive extra 8% boost you can get after a dodge roll. You could still back bar the daggers and skills for any trash mobs you want to clear.

Been playing for 5 years now, and I like to think I farm quite a lot since I have a expensive life style with needing gear and motifs. And in 5 years I have never once found a Athenian dust or a cipher sadly, still hoping one day I may just keep it just to be proud of finding one lolol
Iv played for years on console, I moved to pc a couple of weeks ago so had to start all over again. I was running craglorn dolmens trying to power level to 160cp and I went to the merchant in craglorn to sell my inv and repair armour and as I hit the wayshrine in the main city area there was a rune node so I thought I’d grab it hoping for a Kuta for an easy 2-3k, I only had about 15k gold at the time think I was level 40 something. Only got an atherial dust lol, sold it in chat for 150k on eu server and it got all my 160cp gear some bag space, got my provis and alk up and bought a shit ton of 280% insperation items to decon for crafting and Iv still got over 100k left. Couldn’t of asked for one at a better time tbh
Please do an updated guide for this build with new champion and gear!!

You want to steal apples in crag to level you legerdemain. You can steal at any level though. Just want to make sure you have cloak to turn invisible.

So Khajiits who are supposed to be the best thieves are not. So are Khajiits the most worthless race in the game? I've yet to see Khajiits used in any recent builds.

Most thieving videos are not going to give you a full setup like. It’s specifically for stealing or gather as the case may be. You would just use your normal skills you use. I think you want a real dps build. If so, check out Skinnycheeks.

Doesn’t seem like he does enough research to me. However, when you are thieving and gathering overworld you need like two abilities to kill stuff. I want to help you though, so if you are looking for a dps build, go with this Skinnycheeks and if you want a more in depth stealing guide check out Tabbed Out. I’ll link below. I’m sure he has a stam blade build if that’s what you want.

No offense to Brah, he seems like a really nice guy just trying to help people out. Have to love that. But I think there are better builds out there. What he says will work though and is still decent.

This isn’t my favorite build but yes, this will generally work. At least as well as it ever did. I don’t mean to insult him but he isn’t that knowledgeable about this stuff it seems. So some of his advice is wrong, or at least suboptimal.
