Thanks for doing your interesting and genuine review in such a lovely location. I'm glad you didn't slip on those icy patches! Gear reviews can sometimes be boring but this one hit the right highlights and has piqued my interest for sure!
Hello from Northern Canada 🍁. Love this lens which I also own. It’s an amazing piece of glass!! Love the sharpness and build quality. Super lens review and such a beautiful country you have to capture.
what a nice review. I enjoyed your relaxed style. I'm taking this lens to the Galapagos very soon, and with the 2xTC which for me, seems to keep a really good IQ.
I just ordered this lens. I got my z6 when it first come out and have wanted this 70-200 lens since it come out. I am suprised you are using this lens for landscape. I had always thought wide angle was better for that. But you sure changed my mind about that after seeing your video and photos .
Hello! Congratulations on your new lens. You will love it! It is a fantastic lens. It's still my favourite lens of all times. I use it a lot for landscape. It's really fun. You should definitely try it! :)
I have this lens as part of the "trinity" of Z lens' which I use on my Z6. I have recently ordered the Z7ii and am excited about how those photos and vids will turn out...!!
Hi mark! If you are into landscape photography. The Z7ii is the way to go. That 45MP sensor is awsome. However, the Z6 is a great video camera. So don't sell it. :)
I use this Z lens for landscape, events, sports, parades, mostly everything. Paired up with Z50 you get great results too. Actually with intentions of ordering a Z TC for that extra reach w/ Z50. I think you can get the same results as mounting a Sigma 150-600 C lens. Nice video and salute from Uruguay Thomas!
Great video, Thomas. Still have yet to get a 70-200mm lens. I considered this focal length but ended up getting a 100-400mm one for moon alignment shots and more compression. Might have to check on this focal length some more and decide whether I want it for myself 😁 shots looked great.
Hi there! Thank you! I don't think you will benefit that much from a 70-200 if you already have a 100-400. Save that money and use it on photo trip. :)
I also have the 70-200mm f/2,8 and I simply love it! I often takes pictures at mingling parties and bigger dinners and this fast lens comes in very handy and despite I often take pictures at f/2,8 it's still very sharp all the way out in the corners. Of course I would like to have the 1,4 TC, but so far my wallet had said "No!"
It is indeed a very versatile lens. Everything from landscape to portraits. The Tcs cost a lot but you get so much value out of them. I hope you can afford one soon. Have a great week! 😀
Great review! For a moment I thought you were in Japan. The mountain at 9:20 looks like Mt. Fuji. Do you have volcanoes in Sweden? Greetings from the foothills of Mt Fuji
Hi Peter! Thank you very much. :) There are no volcanoes here. Barely any earthquakes either. I have felt one earthquake but that was over 30 years ago.
Hi there William and welcome to my channel. Tripods are tricky to choose. It all dependes on your style of photography. But let's say you do landscape photography with a lot of hiking. You want to keep the weight down, right? But you don't want to sacrifice to much sturdiness. My suggestion is a carbon fiber tripod. They are a bit pricey. But if you choose a tripod that you are happy with: life time investment! I'm using a Leofoto Ranger LS-324CEX. Also, have a look at reviews on youtube or even go to an actual camera store before you decide which one to buy. Have a great weekend! :)
Hallå! När jag filmar mig själv använder jag en Nikon Z6. Med Nikon Z 24-50 f4-6.3. Mikrofon är Röde wireless go. Litet lätt paket allt som allt som får jobbet gjort. :)
Tills Nikon Z systemet kom. Då tyckte jag zoomarna blev tillräckligt bra. Just Z 70-200 är helt fenomenalt bra på alla brännvidder. Mitt råd blir en fråga till dig. Vad fotograferar du mest? Vilka brännvidder använder du mest? Är det 135mm eller en mix av olika?
And yet you took your time to write a comment....I get what you are saying. I think I mentioned in the beginning of the video that this was my first time making a review video. So I guess I should be greatful for your constructive critisism. I´m just happy you didn't comment on my crapy english. Also, I'm guessing you are into landscape photography. Since "landscape photography" is in the headline of the video. Patience is a big part of landscape photography. If you couldn't wait for 5 minutes and 30 seconds for me to get to the point...well. Let's just say I hope you have more patience when you are out in the field. Have a great weekend.
@@ThomasRaskPhoto Perhaps it did not occur to you that I had only just seen your attempt to make a Landscape video.. and as I was just browsing the subject I must admit my patience level was low, I always like to encourage people and I am glad you were able to take my comment as helpful. Hi there Juanita! Thank you for your kind words. Spring time is slippery for sure! :)
Just got the 70-200 2.8 and looking forward to see what it can do. Best of luck with the channel!
Happy shooting! :) It's a fantastic lens. :)
Hey Tom, do you now when will next generation NIKON Z 70-200 f2.8 lens be released? This one almost four years, right?
I have no idea :)

Thank you Patrick. Such a nice location you are going to! I'm sure your 70-200 with TC will serve you well. :)
How is the TC? I’m debating between buying the 1.4 and 2.0. Do you loose any quality?
Great video. Pushed me over the edge to finally pick one up before I leave on a month long trip to the western US. Keep up the good work!
Great! I hope you get to capture a lot of nice photos! :)
Great video. I just purchased this lens yesterday. I am excited to start using it
Thank you! Congratulations on your new lens! I'm still very glad I got the lens. I do a lot of bird photography with it. :)
How are u liking it? I just ordered it yesterday can't wait to pair it with my Nikon Z8

Truly beautiful! I look forward to getting to know the 70-200 better.

Hello Thomas, can you suggest a landscape tripod? what tripod are you using?

Hej Thomas! Trevlig video. 70-200 mm är väldigt användbart mvh Hans-Olof från Skövde
Hallå! Tack så mycket. Objektivet har verkligen många användnings områden. Ha en bra vecka! 🙂
Curious to know why you don’t use the lens hood?
It's big and bulky and I rarely shoot in a way that creates sun flares.
Trevlig review. Vad använder du när du filmar i övrigt?

Begagnad marknaden är ett bra alternativ. Finns mycket fynd att göra där. Tycker inte du ska låta det rinna ut i sanden. Foto är en fantastisk hobby!
