no matter who your favourite doctor is, you have to admit that IRL every single one of them is a genuinely nice person to meet
I love their enthusiasm for the role. I've no doubt it gets tiresome being asked the same questions at conventions over and over, but they never ever show that. Love them all!
Can’t say that about companions sadly
@@DoctorWhoInfinity why not?
@@bananess_ Some have done terrible things, since leaving the show
@@KentVigilanteLike, who? Now I'm curious.
Matt nailed the whole "young old man lacking certain social skills" thing perfectly, and that's what made him a great Doctor.
THANK YOU! Absolutely correct! And the best moment he showed that, I think, was in The Rings of Akhaten when he offers up his memories and then kind of slumps in fatigue. There's a fantastic fan made video using that scene and incorporating shots of the previous incarnations. I can link it, if you'd like.
@@DravenGal I've seen a couple different versions of those edits, but they've all been fantastic! But if you've got another one, then go ahead!
@@DravenGalI'd like to see it!
@miller-davis4667 Cool. There's a couple of them, but this is my favorite. It really sums up 11 perfectly. And it's a decade old but still gives me goosebumps! ua-cam.com/video/NRIKF1CzWbI/v-deo.html
the writing helped a lot. IMO best combination of Doctor and Storyline.
I would give anything to see him back. He’s my favourite, he absolutely nailed the 900 year old in a 27 year old body feeling. I would just hope the writing is significantly better than what it was by the end of his run.
The writing can't be as bad as it was under chibnall
It can and was under moffat. Truly terrible.
@@leemorris4481nothing under Moffat was worse than under Chibnall
@gutzz1519 Chibnall stuff is such a dry joke, it's not even a hot take.. barley even a take 😵
The Chinballs era was excruciating to get through! 🤮
Matt Smith nailed the role with Stevens writing. Especially given how well praised David Tennant was
Season 5 remains my favourite season of the entire show's run, one boring two parter and one naff vampires episode are the low points but excluding that it's all top notch and a lot of that is on Moffat's writing and Smith's performance. When they're both at their best they are a geronimo-- I mean fantastic combo!
(wasn't personally a fan of the last couple seasons they did together but the 50th special was phenomenal too)
At first I hated him coming from tennant but he definitely grew on me.
Hands down the best era of Doctor Who
Matt Smith is my absolute favourite he's such a nice guy in every interview he does, Id love to see him back with a good script.
I remember getting my picture with him during the 50th celebration in London. It was day 2, I definitely wasn’t the first person in line, and that line zigzagged out the door and well down the hall. He took the time to have a little chat with each person and make sure they got the photo they wanted, never stopped smiling and being exactly the person you’d expect him to be. He must’ve done that for hours without much break, and he was still chipper as ever. Matt is such a genuinely nice person.
I'm doing a rewatch of the show right now. I'm on Series 6 and I was quickly reminded of why Matt Smith is my favourite Doctor.
I love him to bits.
Loved him as the Doctor, coming after David Tennant was a massive task and he was brilliant, a tremendous actor
TBH i personally, never got this argument. ... The 10th Doctor was good, but way to overrated and way to human.
The 10th Doctor is on my No. 7 spot of all the Doctors and i have 2 slots with 2 Doctors
Dont get me wrong. i love David tennant, he is a great actor, but i prefere 14 over 10 any day.
@@thomasnieswandt8805 14th doctor is david tennant lol
@@CameronsQuestions uhm ... yes, i know that.... BUT the 14th Doctor is a different personality. Tennant is darker and much more battlehardened.... i prefere him as 14 over 10.

man I love Matt Smith he’s my favorite fr 😭😭
Really amazing doctor I was bit down he wasn't in the 60th but I hope he does come back I really love series 5
I would love to see Matt come back for a special or two. Could be very interesting.
Matt Smith is My Doctor! I started with David and Catherine back in Series 4 but Matt Smith was the first Doctor I experienced from Beginning to End. I was going through a tough time back in High School so when he was the Doctor, I had something to look forward to each week when his episodes aired.
Matt Smith was my Doctor
My also❤
He was 26! I'm 26 now. Oh dear...
not just children, i remember meeting sylvester mccoy years after he stopped being the doctor - was amazing.
would love to see him back. great memories.
Russell really missed the mark by not bringing him back for the 60th
Its frustrating how Davies doesn't seem to respect Moffat's run and only focuses on continuing right where he left off in 2010. Especially given how Moffat was always doing his best to respect what came before him during his era.
@@terragthegreat175 I'm less frustrated about that since I was expecting Ncuti's run to be mostly a clean slate. What really frustrates me is how the 60th for the most part chose to ignore Moffat and Chibnall's run. New Who has never really gotten its own version of the five doctors where all the eras are brought together as a celebration. The 60th could have been this. Imagine a 3 hour 60th anniversary that includes David Tennant, Matt Smith, Jodie Whittaker, and Ncuti Gatwa.
@@brewster_4 whole cool, Jodie isn’t going to return immediately after leaving and Ncuti wasn’t available until the end of the shooting, he was busy with Barbie and such. Just having Matt would be a repeat of the 50th and Chibnall already did the whole celebration of Who with his final episode so it’s been done.
@@chazo1367
1. Ncuti was available. It was RTD’s plan all along to have 13 regenerate into Tennant. Him wanting to work with Tennant and Tate again was the whole reason he came back to Doctor Who
2. Power of the Doctor wasn’t a celebration of all of Doctor Who. It was a celebration of Classic Who. The only returning new who character in that episode that didn’t originate from the Whittaker era was Kate.
3. If they didn’t want to only have Smith and Tennant again they could have either
A. Used classic Doctors too (yes they were in Power of the Doctor, but only in short cameos not in a full appearance)
B. Brought back Smith and not Tennant. Tennant already got to be the only returning Doctor for the 50th. Someone else should get the spot for once.
The 60th had nothing to do with celebrating Doctor who though it was just about forcing the message down people’s throats
He's definitely my favourite new series Doctor! I'd love it for him to make a return at least one more time in the future but I could understand if he might be hesitant in the same why Peter Capaldi is.
Run you clever boy and remember.
The only worthy successor to David Tennant. Now after seeing all the subsequent eras, I can say for sure Matt Smith and Steven Moffat's run was phenomenal and literally proved that David and RTD aren't the pinnacle of Who.
Hes incredible i miss Matt Smith so much
It is kinda creepy and cute at the same time, how he’s becoming closer to The Time of The Doctor look in real life
I really hope Matt Smith returns
Don't worry I'm sure we will see him on screen again in like 5 to 10 years. I think they should do a ncuti multi doctor episode with Matt smith and Jodie Whittaker.
I would also love him to be the main doctor again for a bit if he wants to do more than just a cameo
My first was Eccleston, but Smith was and will always be my favourite.
He was a phenomenal doctor would love to see his return.
Never thought I’d say this but bring back Steven Moffat as show runner
He is my favourite out of the Nuwho Doctors. I loved him and Tennant together on the 50th and would have been happy to seem them both again for the 60th.
Milo Morbius himself, live Geronimo reactiom
oooo i would love if he came back!!
How can you regret taking part in such an iconic role?
Like he said, you can't.
Once the Doctor, always the Doctor. ❤
Based on rtd's comments on the bigeneration creating alternate timelines where the many doctors survived, I'm basically expecting at this point that the classic doctors and matt and jodie are coming back eventually to meet 15 (and 14?). I sadly have no hope for eccleston :( And I'm just hoping that the great Pcap is lying about not wanting to come back.
"Sack rtd and julie gardener and ill come back" Yeah, no.
Can't blame capaldi for not wanting to come back, being pushed out of a role in favour of an inferior product rarely makes people amicable
@frederickcubbins Capaldi wasn’t pushed out
Stop peddling this narrative
@@brewster_4the bbc pushes all the doctors out. Matt smith wanted to do another series *series 8 was written for him) but got forced out by the bbc. Capaldi got pushed out and whittaker did too (for obvious reasons, everyone was sick of her doctor)
@@Splatinum69 Wow somehow you managed to not say one true thing.
1. Yes, Matt Smith's original intention was to stay on for Series 8, and planning had begun on it with him in mind. He later changed his mind, and decided to leave to pursue projects in Hollywood. Jenna Coleman even said that when she was filming series 7 it was known that Matt had decided to leave
2. Capaldi decided to leave due to the role being exhausting. Nothing suggests that he was forced out.
3. Whittaker also wasn't forced out. Chibnall and her always planned to do three series (That whole 5-year plan quote never even came from Chibnall). There's nothing to suggest that she was fired.
He wasn't my favorite Doctor, but he absolutely nailed the role. Coming in after Tennant, he had massive shoes to fill and I think he did an amazing job. I would be very happy to see him on my screen again if he were to return for some reason.
I met him. He’s wonderful.
That "gleam" in his eye as he tried to hold back a grin at the end there seems reaaaaally suspicious to me.. XD
It would be super cool to see Matt come back
When you are using a cordless screwdriver and you hum his theme song, the screw will always fasten correctly.
I really hope Matt Smith does return to play the Doctor again one day either on TV or audio or both😃
Eleven is my favorite Doctor. Love love love him.
I praise this man so much for that
Matt was My Doctor before I even watched Doctor Who. I decided to watch his regeneration when I was 6 and I was so upset that he was leaving just because the only Doctor I ever knew was gone, even though I never actually watched him properly. That's how well he played the Doctor, people loved him even without watching him (or at least I did)
Matt Smith has said he'd love to play the Master in a future episode and I think that would be amazing. Imagine the Mater regenerating to have 11s face and goes to visit Amy in Rory in the past, the Doctor now would have to go back and face them with a different face and save them from someone wearing his old one. I know people talk about time locking with the angles how he can't go back but I think he can go and see them, maybe not at the moment they were teleported to the past but defiantly 10 years later in their lives. I think the doctor was scared tho' because they were his family for a time and he doesn't wanna worry about their safety again. Remember The Doctor carry 1000s of years worth of Peter Parker angst
I love you matt smith ❤️ you are my favorite doctor who
it would be pretty cool to see matt smith's version of the master
I love Matt, he's so charming!
Matt such a lovely man, he is so down to earth, honey I am over 21 and I think you are very cool❤❤, I hope he does come back, wouldn't it be great if they did the episode with all the doctors❤❤❤
Matt Smith's first series, along with Tenants last, is my favourite slice of Doctor Who history. That's peak Dr Who in my opinion. As good as it ever got!
Bro im 30 and id come up to you and be like yooooo its the doctor!!!
I love how much Matt Smith genuinely loves Doctor Who and being The Doctor.
It would be amazing ❤❤
I was dissapointed we didn't see him in the 60th matt smith is my favourite doctor and i am a little jealous of david tennant fans because they see him a lot the 50th 60th he shows up in comics comics and games i just want some more 11th doctor
He was definitely my favorite. While I have watched all of NewWho a couple times, I've watched Matt's seasons like 5 times at this point. (And every year I watch his Christmas specials, no exception)
Dude the grey looks really good on him.
Would love to see Matt Smith with Ncuti Gatwa; Two of them have the same energy
Jodie and Ncuti take notes, this how to do a interview respecting the show and feeling honoured without the ego
Matt is ready to come back and Peter isn't. I'm heartbroken 💔
Matt Smith was a great Doctor, he brought the role, kind of like Tennant, that "young spirit, in an old travelers way" :) Love all the takes of The Doc :)
10 plus 11 equals happiness
I think Matt is not the type to return for every single anniversary or event but will he at some point come back? Yes. 75th is my bet (Him & Jodie actually. Capaldi might be too old). Just take him from Trenzalore to explain the age difference.
Matt Smith as the Doctor, who needs anyone else. The best of the modern era.
so it's confirmed, he's 100% coming back
I love most of the Doctors for various reasons, but for me, he will always be my GOAT
"Now they are 18" - Sir I'm 31 😅
It's a little sad seeing him older, he's always been permanently young in my mind after seeing him as the Doctor that's the only way I can see him now, but irl he seems like a really nice guy! And If by a 0.1% he's reading this just know you were my Doctor and are still my idol 10 years later! I will always remember when the doctor was you!
The best, to this day.
I think Matt did the best job as the Doctor (not saying he was the best Doctor, although he was for me), not only in terms of how well he played the role even when the script was less than favourable for him compared to alot of the other Doctors. But also because everyone thought it would be impossible to be better than Tennant, and the fact that in some peoples eyes he was, shows how incredible of a job he did.
Matt smith is the same age as me. and hes just as amazing
I always hoped he be in the 60th specials but sadly not. He deserves to return
His episodes were my favourite. Hes always dr who to me.
The Doctor, always.
He'll always remember when the doctor was him :)
tbh would love to know if he still remebers his last word/ promise in the show😂
That’s all I need to keep me going
Was that just an April fools day joke that article about him returning after Ncuti Gatwa???
of course it was an april joke.
That would be a decent idea, so they will never do it.
Matt Smith, Henry Cavill, Andrew Garfield, all in their early 40s tackling more mature roles nowadays. Gaining more success and recognition than ever.
...
...
...crap I'm old!
I think I'll definitely be back, he just needs a little more time, and the right script. He's really busy with house of dragons right now, but I feel like the 75th anniversary is just the right amount of time for him to come back. You have to figure he was the lead on their 50th, which was a huge deal, and the biggest anniversary episode they've ever had, so 60th felt a little too soon, plus it was a very different narrative than previous big anniversary special.
He’ll be back 😉
The best doctor ever written. Doctor who ended at Smith
I didn't agree for curator thing but seeing David Tennant 10/14th react to what happened to amy pond, clara and bill,, dose make a good reminder that all the drs are meant to be the same person,,,
It has grown the curator thing,, maybe for the 70th or another kind of big annervsary thing, not other times,
Like Eccleston and capaldi says its should be kept moving forward,,
But as side to like ncuti as his 11th- same with any drs yeah good to see them return...
Matt's performance was impecable from start to finish. As much as I'd love to see him put the bow tie back on, I'd rather he didn't come back so his performance can't be corrupted by what the show has become now.
"Este doctor who vato?" - Interviewer
"este never say never foo" - Matt
spanish translation
My real question is did Matt sign on for 4 years or did Steven ask him to bow out in the 50th year? Because Clara's importance was a carry over.
Smart man. You never know when the Bad Wolf may come calling.
He’ll come back! It’ll be amazing! And some silly Billy will whine about woke agendas or whatever and we’ll all roll our eyes.
Awwwwwww
It'd be great to see the 11th Doctor back if they resurrect Doctor Who again one day.
bro better than David tennent
Omg plz reboot with matt smith make him the 13th doctor
I understand he’s Tripolar.
The Doctor

Hey look it's the guy from morbius /j

Dont forget he said hed love to come back but as the Master instead

Best millennium doctor by far!
He’s starting to look like how he looked in the name of the doctor
How is his hair greying so much it hasn't been that long has it?
How's he got so much grey hair at 41?
