- The Etihad Airways A380 #4 A6-APD in primer on the 4th and ferry flight from Toulouse with two approaches to Hamburg Finkenwerder Airport due to a gear failure on the first approach.
On the first approach, one leg of the right main gear was not deployed, so they had to go around.

inselvideo Dankeschön. Ja, das war schon einmalig. Vor Ort durch das kleine Display war gar nicht so genau zu erkennen, was da falsch lief. Das habe ich erst auf dem großen Bildschirm realisiert. :-)

Sehr schön ... klasse eingefangen die beiden Anflüge! Und beim ersten Approach hat man anscheinend ein wenig mit den Knöpfen fürs Fahrwerk gespielt - ausgefahren, eingefahren und gleich wieder raus.

Die habe ich gestern über meinem Haus gefilmt.... dann habe ich mich gewundert warum die Durchgestartet ist (ich habe das bei FR24 gesehen) aber jetzt weiß ich ja warum :)
Ham Airport Vielen Dank. Ja, meistens passiert das ja, wenn Schiffe im Weg sind. Fahrwerkprobleme habe ich vorher auch noch nicht erlebt. :-)
Ja ich benutze ja auch Marinetraffic für Schiffe halt und da war keins.... deswegen habe ich das ausgeschlossen aber natürlich kann auch immer mal eine Böhe kommen... aber das ist echt selten...

Gear test I would suggest, given the livery of the jet isn't finished.
This looks like a gravity fall test of the gear to me? Either way it’s a fail! The crew may have been resisting the use of manual emergency extension.An Emirates A388 suffered a loss of it yellow circuit hydraulics systems in flight which resulted in the left main gear failing to extend fully.The emergency extension also failed which left the crew with no choice but to land the plane without its left landing gear bogey extended.A VA 747 suffered a similar situation at LGW a few years ago but landed safely.

There were problems before. The ferry flight from Toulouse was postponed several times. This happens some times, in every business.

Oops, Eithad Airways A380 suffered from gear failure during test flights, but Lufthansa, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, British Airways, China Southern Airlines, Qatar Airways, Qantas, Korean Air, and Asiana Airlines did not.
That's why they test it out.
