Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy this weeks video. My apologies that some of the darker scenes are not fully in focus. My tripod and camera were knocked over by the wind on my Canyonlands trip several weeks ago. My lens is having focusing problems in low light ever since. I’ve got a new lens on the way so this will not be happening in future videos. :) Thank you and Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!
Clean your contacts, manually rotate the lens focus ring but do not force also inspect camera reset settings and understand the proper exit procedure. Some settings when changed revert back to the old setting if not set and exited properly. Also check your camera focus sensors, if you have sensors set for full field balance that will sensor differently from small point sensor field evaluation. Shine a flashlight through the lens look through the other end for dust and scratches then flip around and do the same. Never clean the glass dry. Great videos and commentary, love you work, sorry I mean vacation adventures :) Dan
Wow... I don't think words exist in any human language to describe the magnificence of this video. Spoken from the soul and the spirit. Written upon the heart. This one is positively your best yet, Catherine. May almighty God Bless, Protect, Guard, and Guide you.
Every day I have my lunch and watch your captivating videos. It's a perfect way to escape and appreciate the beauty of your creativity. I wouldn't be surprised if you have your own regular television show someday!
A Ranger in that area stated that these formations we see are the result of wind, water, and time. She elaborated on the time aspect in that we are living at a time when these formations exist. They weren't always there nor will they be in the future. We have the benefit of living in this time when these natural sculptures are as they are. I imagine that the ancient peoples who lived in this area witnessed other forms in the rocks not seen today. Very beautiful take on your journey there.
Happy Mother's day. I miss my mom . Thanks for SHARING takes my breath away watching can't imagine how it is in real time . Got a lead on a handicap ramp for my motorhome for free ... looking forward to be on the highways again . Tips for easy accessibility is always a hit .
Hello Catherine, it's good to see you and Christine partner up for a scenic outdoor adventure. You chose some excellent music to accompany your beautifully filmed video. The very best to you for your good health and safety. 🤗
Good morning Catherine. I watched your latest video this Monday morning while having my coffee. I can only reiterate what everyone has said about your abilities! Your eye for beauty is a gift. You use it well. Thanks again for all of efforts to include your viewers in your travels. You are laying the "groundwork" for my future trips ! Thank you so very much, and God bless you. 💖🙏
I was in the Golden Cathedral on Sept 21st. That 4wd road was conquered by 2 of us driving Prius', and a 3rd Prius was already at the Trailhead. LOL I'l have to say, our timing was good because we sat there from about 2 to almost 4:30 and just admired the changing light patterns. from there, we day hiked over to Zebra slot canyon, and added Tunnel to our day.
Wow, spring has to be *the* time to see that country! The contrast between the spring green color of the trees and the red of the rocks and cliffs, well, there just aren’t words! Stunning.
Hi Catherine. Your videos are inspiring, especially this one. With your camera angles, views and soulful music, one truly feels inspired and connected with nature. Thank you.
Absolutely fascinating. The water that must have flowed through the valley to create a beautiful canyon , it is hard to get your mind around it. Once again, thank you my California dream for sharing a wonderful hike.
BREATHTAKING BEAUTY COLORS VIEWS SCENERY VIDEO WEATHER FOOTAGE LANDSCAPE & TRAIL 👣 ! AMAZING WHAT GODS PAINT BRUSH STROKES HAVE MADE FOR US EVERYWHERE TO SEE ! PLUS THE HISTORY SHOWN BY OTHERS WAY BEFORE OUT TIME . GLAD TO SEE YOU BOTH OUT HIKING TOGETHER TOO ! THANK YOU 🙏 BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨
Watching one of your videos is the perfect late night way to unwind. Well composed harmonious beauty to the senses of sight, sound and spirit .... they are. Catherine, you really know how to connect. Grazie bene.
Two things I look forward on Sundays- a new video on your channel, and another channel that features a new documentary about dangrous roads around the world......and my cup of coffee. I really want to do this trip, I love the shorter trips like this. My neighbor kid and his brothers go to Utah backpacking.....I've been trying to get them to take me along (they're half my age......I might slow them down?). I've known them since they were kids.....maybe one of these times I'll get invited...one can hope, right? I'm going to the Black Hills in South Dakota in a few weeks......you would really love the scenery there, and you get to see Mt. Rushmore from an angle most people don't get to unless they get out of their car and hike:-).
The wonderful way you present it Utah sure does look like a place you would want to visit time and time again. It is definitely on my list. Thank you for sharing your continuing adventures. 😊 ⛺️
You have a great gift, and you have this skill of making us all feel so close to being there with you! I can identify with blusnuby2, maybe I'll never make it to Golden Cathedral - but, through your beautiful videography, we sort of feel like we have been there. Thank you for your soul-nurishment for Mother's Day! Safe travels.
While you were at Golden Cathedral, I was hiking in Bryce Canyon. What an awesome place. Next year, I plan to visit what my short time this year didn't allow, next summer. The Escalante area is one of the places on my bucket list to visit. Thanks to you and your videos, I find some terrific places to go to. You are great girl. Keep on exploring.
Thanks for another beautiful video. It is nice to walk among the red rocks and also have water available. Speaking of which, I am hoping you know to unbuckle your hipbelt any time you are crossing water that gets over knee deep, like at the 4 minute mark here. It is all too easy to slip down, have the water fill the pack, and you not be able to free yourself in time to prevent drowning. I'd hate to lose you.
Took a few minutes away from my leather working to watch this video. Been there when I was a young cowboy. Hope you had a good truck. Blessings on ya girl. Again Thanx for sharing. As ever just Tom 🤠
Beautiful hike! We love the red rock country, so much so that my wife and I have gone to Utah for the past 34 years. Maybe we'll cross paths sometime. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us.
You nailed it, simple adventure video that grabs your attention. Loved how the images of the stain canyon walls and the snow covered Henries mountains in the background. Question your footware how did they hold up on trail, slick-rock and hiking in and out of the creek also socks??? Planning on backpacking Coyote gulch in October might purchase new footware for hike.
My husband and i went in the little town of Escalante recently. We believe we were behind you and Christine in live at a local convenient/gas station. We want to say hello however we didnt want to bother you. We are each suscribed to your channel and have been enjoying your videos for the past 3 years. You have inspired us to get off the sofa and explore the west. Mostly, we love your acceptional camera skills and thr presentation of the areas you visit. Thank you.
I have been extreamy busy as I close in on my retirement date so caught up on several of your videos. Great to see you out there with your niece and enjoying life!
I think the thing I love most about your videos is, you make a video and allow your camera sets and the scenery speak volumes. Thanks for another amazing video!
Beautiful vistas Catherine. To all your subscribers from the UK like myself these sort of landscapes are truly other worldly to us. We just don't have anything even close to resembling this sort of terrain.. as ever thank you for sharing 👏🏼🙏🏼
I was out of town when you posted this so I'm catching up now on your videos 😊😊 What an amazing video. You find the greatest locations. This hike is definitely on my bucket list now 👍👍
It is amazing how rugged and beautiful parts of our country is. I cannot imagine what the early residents that did the petroglyphs must have gone through living there. Just to travel the 5 miles that you did without trails had to have been a challenge. Thanks once again for showing us through your eyes what most of us will never see in person.
What they went through was called true freedom, Ken. Something you and I have never and will never experience living under colonial dictatorship rulers from Europe.
I love love love this part of Utah and I'm moving from Snow Canyon, UT area in my 40 foot motorhome over to near Moab to be closer to the spectacular scenery that Utah is famous for.. I hike with my goat Li'l Billy who has his own facebook page called "The Adventures of Li'l Billy"... We've hiked all the trails around Zion Natl Park and now a new adventure awaits us inspired by you Cat.... thank you... Gary formerly from Snow Canon, UT now heading to Moab area to LIVE....
What a great hike! You captured the area beautifully..nice job and always a treat. Take care and stay safe..R. btw the background music and narration were just right.
Great video! Thanks for sharing! What a magical place there in Utah! Happy for you to be able to spend time with your niece, too! Hope she loved it. Cheers from Michigan!
I'm going to be in Moab for Memorial day Weekend .. testing out my new rig .. a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek that I setup for off roading. I haven't been thru Escalante for a long time .. so thanks for the great review. I can't hike anymore so I build my 4x4 rigs to get me as close as possible. I now plan to head back to Tucson after Moab via Escalante thanks to your video! 🤠
Catherine, some of that reminded me a little (without the big rocks) of the Narrows hike I did 3 days ago in Zion, 10.3 miles around trip. Off to Bryce Tuesday. Don
That was so amazing to watch. It just kept getting better and better with a spectacular spot to end on. Thank you for sharing your amazing life works again Catherine.
Thank you for sharing the blooming cactus, it speaks hope to me! If we perserver and endure through the harshest of conditions, we too can hope for a bloom! Thank you for your sweetness and blessings to you!
Catherine, I enjoyed this video so very much! Truly breathtaking scenery and gorgeous photography. I think it's one of your best. It's really wonderful you sure this passion with your niece. And I'd also like to mention that your music choices are wonderful--very evocative and always complement the visuals beautifully. Great work!
Glen Canyon is such an underrated gem, and that’s a good thing! Easy trails; beautiful landscape; blossoming cacti 🌵; and wonderful surprises to discover, like the ancient wall art. Thanks for sharing! Safe adventures, Catherine! 🙋🏻♀️
I've hiked many trails between Maine and California. This one here was one of my favorites. Everyone should hike this one, at least once in their lifetime. They really need to build something for getting up and down by the parking lot though.
Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy this weeks video. My apologies that some of the darker scenes are not fully in focus. You should clean your lens. They are probably dusty, or already wear out. :)
Still better than my videos on UA-cam. LOL Don
I didn’t noticed that. 🙈🙂 may be you balanced it with your very good video skills 😎
Clean your contacts, manually rotate the lens focus ring but do not force also inspect camera reset settings and understand the proper exit procedure.

It looks like one of the elements slipped, you can see that it's blurrier on the right than the left.
Wow... I don't think words exist in any human language to describe the magnificence of this video. Spoken from the soul and the spirit. Written upon the heart. This one is positively your best yet, Catherine. May almighty God Bless, Protect, Guard, and Guide you.
Thank you John!
AGREED!
Beautiful area being hiked by two beautiful ladies

I`ll never see The Golden Cathedral in this life, but thanks to you, Catherine, I have visited it vicariously....Thanks for sharing, Canyon Lady !

Always look forward to Sunday coffee and watching your newest video....
Thanks Catherine!😎
Just watched this again. The music edit between 2:30 and 3:30 is awesome. Rivals Hollywood! Excellent work.

And if you can believe it, it was more colorful in person. The leaves looked almost fluorescent .
Yet another magnificent video. Great hike, campsite, music, and petroglyphs. Thanks for another beautiful Sunday morning video.
Hi Catherine. Your videos are inspiring, especially this one. With your camera angles, views and soulful music, one truly feels inspired and connected with nature. Thank you.
