David! That was me with the 15 (now 16) year old son! You remembered us! LOVE you guys! Asians don't raisin! We and the kids will be in SoCal in July. They're gonna stalk Smorgasburg and Drips n Swirls! Hope you guys are there!
My earliest memory was before I was 1 year old. It was a _very_ vague memory, but I remember just chilling out in this white baby swing, just looking at the walls and the floor. The memory was so vague and odd that I thought my mind might have made it up because I never saw a picture of me in a baby swing or any family members bringing up a baby swing. But I brought up this to my mom and she said, "Oh yeah! You loved your baby swing!" and brought out a picture of me hanging out in one. I have a lot more memories starting from when I was 2 years old
These people can make the best autobiographical movies. The problem with people with normal memory is that you don't often get key details from memories as you age. You remember you fell, you don't remember it was because your shoes were untied. That kind of thing.
My earliest memory was when I was an infant. My parents put me down for a nap in my crib. I remember falling asleep, but suddenly waking up again, to my parents, who were singing karaoke in the living room. I remember screaming because it was so loud. Then it immediately stopped, and I see my mother fumbling in, and my father coming in right after her.they looked down at me to pick me up, and thats all i remember. I asked my parents about it one time, and they're like, "you remember that?"
My earliest memory was when I was like 1 on vacation in Cozumel. I remember playing on the beach with my shovel and pale in the sand. I remember it like so vividly and it's so weird.
My earliest memory is when i was roughly 8 to 9 months old. and i was barely walking ( I started walking really early) and my mom was bandaging my brothers broken leg , we were in the nursery at church and he pulled a pulpit on himself lol, I crawled into my parents room to see her bandaging it back up and he was only 1 at the time , he was crying and i pulled myself up next to the bed and started walking towards them holding onto the sheets . the bed was taller than i was at the time
The thing is, the way I see it, we all keep emotional memories, but we can't really put our finger exactly where that comes from. Traumatic or happy experiences alike. We stay with the emotional (sometimes physicalized) response, but we forget the source, and if it's something harmful to us or the others, we need some sort of therapy to dig to the exact culprit. I think the factual way she remembers things is also a coping mechanism she must have developed early to avoid going into crisis mode every time a crazy memory comes by. For me, I think my earliest memory that I can consciously think of at least, is when I was about 3 years old, with my parents, coming from somewhere on a sunny day, in one of those long buses with the accordion thing in the middle.
my earliest memory is either one time when I lived in a really dirty trailer I was playing with play dough and I got it stuck in the carpet. or I was in the crib and I was sleeping in my parents room and I heard the toilet bubble up and then my mom took me to the kitchen and sat me down with the adults. I also have memories of my mom sitting in the kitchen with then window open while my dad is smoking a cigarette. and one time there was a really bad storm and the lights went out and me and my older brother mad a fort with a lamp in the kitchen.
One of my most vivid childhood memories is from pre-k when I walked into the classroom after recess and punched this kid named Austin in the nose for seemingly no reason. Which still confuses me to this day because he was my friend.
The best I can do to remember things is to remember something specific about what I'm doing, something that would stand out. Then I would just forget what happened the rest of the day.
I had a memory of my mom being really sick and having to go to the hospital. I remembered her dress and everything in vivid detail. I though it was from when I was 6 and then my mom told me I was less than 1 when it happened.
Asian people looking young, that's both a blessing and a curse. I'm in college right now but my mom's friends ask me if I'm in middle school or just starting high school.
when i was kid up until i was 14 i was able to do this. i would remeber the shirt people wore, spacific sentances, almost every step i toke. now my memory is fried lol.
Julia me and you girl have super good memories xD cause I remember when I was 3-4 I was doing Special K and I would go there a lot with my dad because my mom was barely around. And I remember I refused to learn English and keep speaking in Japanese, but what I rarely say was "No, Nah, Nope." and like a SUPER rare words was "Yea, Yes." because it was easy for me to pick up quickly, but I had a Cultural Festival and I remember going there like normal. Saying bye in Japanese, run inside, play with the kids by playing number games and ABC's, and then when it was lunch there was all these foods that I turned my nose against BUT Asian food. I load my plate full of Asian food and avoided like the flu/cold with the other foods and I was eating my food and my teacher said "Oh no Jess go ahead and try more food." "NO!" that's all I said XD It's my side of the story but my dad told me his, that when it was almost lunch time it was fine up in till 12pm and he got a call from the school saying "Bob will you please come pick up your daughter..." "Why? Is she bad?" "Yes or no... I'm confused. Will you come over to the school and we'll explain more." "Sure." When he got to the school the teachers was in a panic and was saying I was rude, I won't try anything new, ect. My dad got really confused and said "Won't try anything new? She always tries something new!" He got in and saw me screaming at the teachers over and over and over again saying "NO! NNNNNOOOO!!" and I was trying to shoo away the people who try to take my plate to get different food, and he burst out laughing. After everything quiet down and I got more food, my dad was explaining about something that I wasn't paying attention to. And I was talking to one of the Japanese families and also a few others, and they explained to my dad why I wasn't learning English. He told me on the phone because he lives so far away now, that he knew I was different, but still excepts me as me and he wouldn't change it. Now I am trying to find out more about my real parents and such cause I just want to know what happened to me, and my dad is o.k with it and so is my sisters but my 2nd sister said "I want more family members! MMMMMOOORRREEEE!!!" XD Which we laugh about, and I'm just starting a new chapter in my life.
I repress a lot of my memories because although I have all these random good things happening, there's even more bad stuff going on in between or in the background of the good memories so I'm always afraid of going back to any memories or if I do I don't stay dwelling on anything too long. It's kind of frustrating.
My earliest memory was when I was 3 and my family and I were at the hospital for the birth of my younger brother. I remember standing on this railing next to a koi pond just staring at all the fish. And that's why I love fish and want to build a koi pond.
Just because she could remember the memory doesn't it mean it still affects her. I still remember being bullied in grade school but it doesn't affect anymore.
I think my earliest memories are from when I was 1 and 2 years old. when I was 1, I remember for like a few seconds how my mum would chew on some cookies and then give that to me because I had no teeth lmao. when I was 2, I remember a few moments from day care or nursery? (idk how you call them but you know what I mean) and I remember a moment when I was eating (I remember having a bib on) and a moment when we were put to bed for nap time (I think it was the same day)
My earliest memory is of my 2nd birthday and having Sesame Street themed cake. (Just a random fact) I also remember being mad because my cousin who was my age started riding my tricycle around the kitchen and I was just watching her being salty af. While her brother was just watching us and following her around. I have no idea why I remember all those details and how the cake looked or how I felt but I just do. There are some earlier ones but their really small and don't matter.
I think this could be useful when you are a detective and you are trying to solve a case. You just need to be very observant. So she remembers everything vividly including sounds and smells? Damn, I wonder if she ever has experienced a deja vu.
If David had the HSAM ability, he would have never forgotten about Gina's birthday.
Opal Tømetti Oh shit you right
David! That was me with the 15 (now 16) year old son! You remembered us! LOVE you guys! Asians don't raisin! We and the kids will be in SoCal in July. They're gonna stalk Smorgasburg and Drips n Swirls! Hope you guys are there!

Rachael was the first crush I had since kindergarten, she had big, huge brown eyes, and they captivated me.

my earliest memory is either one time when I lived in a really dirty trailer I was playing with play dough and I got it stuck in the carpet. or I was in the crib and I was sleeping in my parents room and I heard the toilet bubble up and then my mom took me to the kitchen and sat me down with the adults. When Bart said "she's busted af" his face made me laugh so much 😂
One of my most vivid childhood memories is from pre-k when I walked into the classroom after recess and punched this kid named Austin in the nose for seemingly no reason. Which still confuses me to this day because he was my friend.
Bruh it's crazy how the memory is also linked with like knowing dates and what happened on a certain day. That's crazy
The best I can do to remember things is to remember something specific about what I'm doing, something that would stand out. Then I would just forget what happened the rest of the day.
"She has HASSAM" - Bart Kwan 😂😂😭😭
imagine all the tests you WOULDNT have to study for lol!
I had a memory of my mom being really sick and having to go to the hospital. I remembered her dress and everything in vivid detail. I though it was from when I was 6 and then my mom told me I was less than 1 when it happened.

This woman works at my university! I've only interacted with her a couple of times (very informally), but she's sweet!
Is she a professor?
No, she works in one of the student service departments. Very friendly woman.
Did you just learn in this video that she has this memory ? lol
Yup! I saw her in the video and thought to myself, "I definitely know her..." -- super cool that she has that kind of memory though!
Geo, that's actually common to not lose hair. my godmother didn't.
I remember her on the Oprah show about 7 years ago
I'd pay to see her play Jeopardy
that would be the best detective
