Nice work Slick,It takes skills to put yourself in the asset column.I have worked with grinders and cutting wheels for over 40 years, Gloves are cheap stitches and lead poisoning are not.
If you clamp a piece of quarter inch thick or thicker copper to the back of the metal it works really good for backing up a hole you’re trying to fill. The weld won’t stick to it. Great looking work!
im glad to see you take pride in your work. whom ever drives this car in the future can feel confident the frame is safe. i hope one of your children will follow in your foot step to keep the trade going thumbs up 👍

That looks amazing! Good job on it. I can't wait to see how it comes out. And Charlie well done with the lead. 😊 I pray everything is okay with your family. Keep up the good work!
Watching this I thought a couple of things, 1) holy crap you practically had to cut apart all your good work to repair something that was out by a little bit, not sure how many others would have gone to the trouble but I appreciate you wanting it done and done right because it’s your reputation. And 2) after watching you body work a frame with hammer and dolly so it’s nice and flat and straight again not something most guys would do on the actual body panels of the car let alone the frame, you’re never going to have me write in and go Slick bevel. Merry Christmas to you and yours and to Charlie and his

You and Puddin should have came up to Catoosa/Tulsa yesterday and been in the paraade with Derek and Bentley! That would have been great seeing all of you guys! 😊
@@OKspeedandcustom He bought a model A that hasn't ran in 15 years and driving it back home, but first he did a meet and greet in Catoosa at the Blue Whale and did a toy drive for Toys for Tots and then the parade. There was a car show as well. A great time!
Yay, it's Monday time for a Slicky poo and Charlie Bear Video yes 😂😂. Well Sunday for you mob in America. Fark me Slicky ya got ya work cut out for ya Bro 🤪

Hey Slick get someone to waterjet a piece of.025 thickness spring steel flat plate 2” around and with the center waterjeted out and install between your sanding pad and sanding arbor to keep flat when repairing frame rails and flat surfaces, makes it easier to only sand protruding welds
Didn’t Bevel something WTF? Some need to watch all your videos so they know you are better than that! Keep up the awesome work and don’t worry about what others think. Most of us know the quality of your work.
Hello Slick 50 From Kentucky. I was curious about what thickness steel that you use mostly for repairing bad spots or rusted out frame sections. Do you use the regular mild carbon steel for your frame repair of the frames that you commonly repair. Most of the dump truck bodies were at least 3/16 thickness with some 1/4 inch thrown into the mix. I had to deal with the extremely rusted out steel and sometimes had to melt decrepit crust away from a good layer of steel if that makes sense to you. I never got to use the tig welder at our facility for the truck bodies but did get to repair aluminum stuff that we had at our facility coming in for repair. I used a MillerMatic 350 with the 75/25 shield gas and the mig wire that I preferred to use was the L-56 Lincoln Electric either.035 or.045 copper clad mig wire depending on what I was working on at the time. I wish all of you in Oklahoma a “Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”. Oh, I was curious if you got to see any of the “DoodleBugs” that I mentioned some time back?.
Was it a bad chop that got it so twisted or was there damage before that mess was put together 🤔 I'm sure you'll get it perfect and looking like your nickname Slick 🤩
So we really like watching you guys, but we started watching the oL P’Tang and he was using the welder like you’re using on that frame. He was always bitching and moaning about how hard it is to weld and blaming it on his machine and I thought it must be hard to do then I seen you and you make it look…. Pardon the pund but Slick AF. So I talked my buddy into going halves on one of them welders. Fak i might as well got a job on the space shuttle Columbia. Damn you’re good at that, keep up the good work Slick, we might figure it out.
@@OKspeedandcustom A shop I used to work with in St. Louis had to reset their jigs after almost every build because they would go out of spec during the builds. I watched them take an afternoon to measure and wedge their frame jig for a 32 roadster one day while I waited for the machine shop next door to finish decking a set of heads.
