Not bad - I remember this before I changed my exhaust out, it sounds better with a cam - invest in one. The plenum and the exhaust manifolds are severely limiting -- the heads could do with some work as well. The 3.4 sounds decent if you put some work into it - I added a McCord power plate at the end of the straight pipe so i could run open pipes (no muffler) This was mine (fully open single 3" catback pipe - rksport headers - 94 3.4 bottom end, 3400 top end, no tune) at the Orange County Auto Show in 2009 -- ua-cam.com/video/_V3HfXpimxE/v-deo.html Keep working at it. It'll get better. Not bad so far!
Just picked up a hardtop 94 with the 3.4L, cold air intake, COMP cams, rebuilt engine, chipped, and a flowmaster exhaust system that needs some work. Would you have any suggestions/advice or essentials on looking it over as it's been sitting? however now I have it starting and driving consistently, as well as no check engine light on while running (it flashes when started so I know it isn't blown or taped over). Idles nice at about 1-1.2 or so, and no dogging on the throttle whatsoever. OD reads 164,000 miles before, or less preferably, after the engine rebuild in 2013. Is there any common problems at that range for the 3.4's that I may run into, especially being modified?
Hi. I own a 2000 hardtop with the 3.8/5 speed. With 3.73 rear gears, K&N drop-in filter, all synthetic fluids in the driveline, and the rear seat removed, I was able to achieve 30mpg on he highway. They're a little iffy in the snow but a set of narrow snow tires cleared that right up for me. Overall, it's been an excellent daily for me and I'd buy another in a heartbeat. Hope that helps.
My 95 3.4 gets nearly 30 mpg highway, the 3.8 will be a little lower than that since it's got more power and it's bigger but still a good daily I think
This is theee best sounding fourth gen v6 that I’ve heard. No other videos on UA-cam have sounded this awsome,
😂
Cold start always sound deeper. If you like it go for it.
Sounds like all 3.8
Wow! That sounds great. Never heard a v6 sound like that before.
I love this so much, I also have a 94 Camaro V6 straight piped dual exhaust she sounds pretty exact to yours 😊
1994 v6 was the 3.4L. I've got one too, and been thinking about swapping to an LZ9 3900. Making motor mounts is my only hesitation.
My inspiration ...
Thanks bro
Nice. Im going to do the same from manifolds all the way to the back i also got 3.4L. With double pipe in the back
I highly recommend dumping that 3.4 and putting in the 3.8 a lot more power and more reliable as their bulletproof

@@orlanmedina3693 very nice ya I'm restoring the 96 Camaro I got yesterday but hoping to find where I can get parts at a decent price

My camaro had that slight clicking sound and everyone tried to tell me something was wrong with it but every video of camaros I see has it
So is it just straight piped from the cats back or did you remove cats and then straight pipe
Oh god in high school me and the shop body did mine but it sounded got awful
Had a buddy with a v6 Fourth gen Camaro, it had to have been straight piped because it was loud and I SWORE it was a v8
I have a 97 model if I change the manifold in straight pipe it will have a better sound
Did you get new headers or anything or like an upgraded intake?
what’s a 3.8l 5 speed like on gas? would you daily drive one as a project / beater ?
I daily mine it’s actually fairly good on gas
