Your timing is impeccable because you will not believe it but I have just returned from Brazil a few hours ago, jetlagged, dazed and tired after another trip to the Rio Carnival. Regardless of my jetlagged state I am happy to reply to your message. Now to answer your question I would recommend attending either one of the third or fourth nights as they have the BEST/ELITE Samba schools in Brazil and their floats on either of these 2 nights are HUGE. If you can afford it then you can attend nights 3 and 4, remember as per my video choose Sector 6. Alternatively you can choose to just attend the Champion's Parade which is usually a week later and is also a good spectacle, again it has the winner of the first 2 nights and mostly the elite Samba schools from nights 3 and 4. To get a sample of the Champion's Parade you can see videos on my channel. Again choose Sector 6 as they still perform their routines even though on this night there are no judges scoring them. You may be pleased to know that I will be releasing another updated video in a few weeks on the Rio Carnival this year, again providing useful information along the way. In that video I will answer the question you raised here so as to guide other people who may be interested in attending the carnival. I will also share that video with you once I have put all material together (this is the boring part).
