  • The Ultimate 7 Year Springfree Review - Are They Worth The Money? We’ve owned our 092 large oval springfree trampoline for 7 years. In this video we share what condition it’s in now and what we’ve learned over the time we've owned it. We take a look at the trampoline net, the black frame, the bouncing mat trampoline rods and see how they have fared after many years in the British weather and salty sea air.
    Although we originally opted to have springfree install our trampoline for us, we moved overseas for a while, so we've experienced what it is like to disassemble a springfree trampoline (removing all those rods!) and reassemble one, so we know about that too and how not to do it (clue, use the manual to work out the order to remove the rods first) and I point you in the direction of a useful guide
    We've tried anchoring our trampoline to the ground to stop the wind blowing it around in the winter and we've also tried moving it around as we cut the grass. So which is best?
    Springfree sell a lot of accessories, like the trampoline step, steering wheels and anchoring kit and we can show you which of those we have invested in and which have been worth the money.
    Trampoline safety is a really big thing for springfree trampolines, it's why New Zealand engineer Dr. Keith Vivian Alexander set up the company to begin with and tried to create a springless trampoline. They have an impressive safety record and great safety features, but do all of them stand the test of time?
    Springfree trampolines pride themselves on being silent (unlike some of the cheap squeaky trampolines) so you might wonder whether that is a feature of new trampolines or if it goes on for the lifetime of the trampoline
    After 7 years with two kids and a dog using the trampoline in our garden, we can also answer the question of whether springfree trampolines are less bouncy and why they are so expensive? In short this is the ultimate review that show you what it's really like to own a springfree and how they really weather with age? Watch before you buy one
    Also worth mentioning is the fact that Springfree offer a 10 year warranty www.springfreetrampoline.co.u...

    Great video! Thanks for that! I wanted to buy a BERG or NORTH trampoline at first. But after watching the official springfree videos and yours, I now will probably buy one of the springfree trampolines. Thanks for your professional and detailed video! Helped me a lot!

      One question though: There is NOTHING you do in winter with the trampoline? No partial disassembling? No protection cover? Nothing?

      Normally we don’t, but this year we actually did! We just took the net down and left it and it’s been fine. You won’t regret a Springfree, we have been very impressed by the quality! Thanks for the comment

    One small bit of advice:
    My husband pulls, doesn't push our trampoline. He turns his back to it, reaches back with his hands (just under the mat) and drags the trampoline behind him whereever he wants it. (He can stand straight that way, so might be easier on the back?)

    This was great timing as we are getting a trampoline for our kids. We initially tried a Jump King brand, but one of the poles was not formed correctly. After trying multiple ways to contact them for a replacement with zero response, we just returned it and are now looking for something better than what was available at big box stores. It looks like this about the only decent trampoline company available for regular consumers, and they are having quite a good sale right now in the States. My only concern was longevity, and being in this good of condition after 7 years is impressive.

    Excellent video! Really helpful and insightful. We were very fortunate to have been given one by a friend who no longer wanted theirs. I can attest that disassembling this thing is a horrible job, but assembling it has been even more foul. Probably could have done with the instruction manual, with hindsight 😂

      Thanks James, appreciate the comment! We have a move coming up so going to be doing the break down and assembling again… I don’t think my husband has realised this yet! 😆🫣

    Hi, thanks for this very detailed review! One question on my side: Does the trampoline withstand strong winds and gusts without the anchors? Winds can be quite strong in the UK, especially on the coast, during stormy weather (we live in Germany but still get quite some strong gusts of wind so my guess is that it won’t be as bad. The anchors would be a solution but I would like to have the possibility to move the trampoline around.)

    • @CandidClara
      @CandidClara  Місяць тому +1

      Yes it does withstand the wind BUT where we are on the south coast of the UK the wind is perfectly able to lift the trampoline up and blow it across the garden, so two options either anchors (which we did for the first few years) or no anchors, but take the net down in the winter and have it out of service for a few months. We found the kids didn’t use it much in the winter anyway and having it out of action for a few months only meant it was more of a novelty in the spring so that’s the way we go now. The anchors are bloody hard to get out of the ground, as they should be I guess!!

    We have recently bought this exact model. We love it. One thing I noted was we don't have any issues with the zip. It has been redesigned and is very easy to zip up. Zipping the vertical one up first helps as it puts tension on the net making the horizontal one easier to pull. Thank you for the great review, it's nice to know it will still hold its own in the years to come

    • @CandidClara

    We've had a S113 11ft sq model for 9 years now. We also had a border collie that bit quite a few holes in the net that grew a lot, have experienced some minor rust but overall it still works great. I did just buy a new net, pad and rod sleeves to update it (all for about $600) so it'll be like new. Also critical if you live up north with harsh winters that you collapse the net and cover it as the net will sort of dry-rot. Great products that are FAR superior to traditional spring trampolines.

    • @CandidClara
      @CandidClara  2 місяці тому

      Fascinating to hear your experience, we collapsed our net this winter, haven’t looked yet to see if it’s survived but given the winter we’ve had in the UK the rot of we have it definitely won’t be dry! 😆🫣

    Great video, we live in Finland, do you think we can leave it outside during winter? Does anyone have any experience with that?

    • @CandidClara
      @CandidClara  Місяць тому +1

      Interesting question, we don’t have your extremes of cold but it really gets a battering here on England’s south coast (just in the tail end of a storm today!) so I would say yes!

    I just ordered mine it's a large oval a bit pricey but I think I will like it and we're paying someone to put it up because where I live it gets really hot in the summer

      I think it’s worth have the assembly done for you if you can, better than having the kids hanging over you constantly asking how much longer it will be! 😆

    If you can get a big one yeah, or a square or rectangle one, but i cant do dub kabooms or codys on a spring free if its not wide

      I’m sure there must be videos out there for this specific thing, but the biggest challenge you will face is getting the rids out, I’ve li keep video in the description that shows how to do this, it’s not the easiest thing! Good luck!

    Can I ask how long it took you to disassemble it? I am getting one from a friend and just just wondering how long it will take us to disassemble it!

    • @CandidClara
      @CandidClara  День тому

      Including the time arguing and having to stop for breaks to calm down? I would say 3 hours… but then we hadn’t seen that video about how to remove the rods! We also have to disassemble in the next couple of months, good luck?

      I think with those two it literally comes down to which you prefer the look of and/or which fits in your garden layout better
