As a defender, I would often just let a team get the signal during the last minute only to hear their theme if the first one had already been grabbed by the other team. The last minute themes felt beyond epic to fight with.

It prevents the attacking team on the vantage from getting both signals, which is usually pretty bad. 2. It gives you a dead easy chance to wipe them out after they get the signal. 3. In the great bowl map, since the second attacking team to get the signal doesn't get a Sprinkler of Doom, after wiping them out you can easily take over their side of the map in seconds and secure the match if your team has good ink coverage. 4. Again, epic banger music. Yes, it gives them points for getting the signal, but I end up winning the match bc in turf war the main deciding factor is who is alive and in control during the last 30s of the game. I ended the Splatfest with a 34-14 win ratio playing only tricolor and, most importantly, had the day of my life, but you do you

I don't think it would have been as satisfying. Theres at best 17 lines in now or never if we include the long cheers. Not much room for 7 people.
