I once got to team up with Captain 3 during a tri-color battle in that stage. It felt like one of the best moments I had during the Grand Festival! (Whoever was playing as “Captain 3,” major kudos to you!)
A real shame this was so hard to see in actual matches. At least in 2’s final fest Pearl was literally in the middle of the map and it was a bloodbath to get her killer wail for your team. The idols are so far away you can barely see them even if you do manage to get the ultra signals 💀
I literally played multiple tricolor matches just to see the idols up there. I spent so long trying to figure out the system to see how a specific idol group got up there and everything. The easiest to see for me were the Squid Sisters mainly because of mirror matches. It was a lot easier to stay alive too, considering everyone in the mirror matches just started squid partying. Seeing Off the Hook and Deep Cut was so much harder though, including just seeing them. I even pulled out the scope chargers and it was STILL hard to see them, especially while trying to not get killed by the other teams.
imma say it: based on how seamless the change from song to chant, the MUSIC TEAM wanted future to win. the other 2 lead themes are much more chill, and doesn't keep up the initial hype of rainbow inkantation.

Tbh agent 4 should be the agent that's tied to the Squid Sisters and 3 should be tied to craig. It would also be sequenced no team(3), past(4), present (8) and future (neo 3)

Marina looks embarrassed du and Pearl looks too serious during their performance. 5:40 Team Future: Deep Cut is Cheering for everyone in the Arena with different cultures cheers.
I have to agree Pearl’s and Marina’s models were WEIRD. Apparently this a thing for the whole Grandfest because a lot of my friends said they looked like moving puppets.

Did not realize I missed the Grand Fest so much before seeing these. So many little details I really like are sprinkled throughout this stage and even though the dances may not be perfect, there was effort put into the ingame idea that the idols would show up to support you during a match. You just had to be there.

Also, incredible detail having the agents from each game grab their idols Ultra Signal. And it's poetic you left 4 out, just like how Nintendo has! Great video.
@faelemonade i only have the old SS and OTH amiibo, I'm assuming those won't work... Plus no internet, meaning I can't update the game or system for a while.
@faelemonade that's a relief, although the last rumor I heard was that it currently still requires internet to access the location... So hopefully they DO change that to be an offline feature someday, like what was promised back then.
