- In today's advanced Tales of Tribute guide we cover the brand-new Druid King deck being added to Tales of Tribute with Update 36.
Please note that this is PTS footage and all cards/mechanics are subject to change.

Hey everyone, as of today the Druid King deck has been pushed out to live servers! All of the mechanics/cards covered in this guide remain accurate as of U36, except for two numbers changes that were made to Forest Wraith, and the Ritecaller. Those changes are as follows:
Forest Wraith - Power gained from triggering "while in play" effect reduced to 1 (was previously 2)
Draoife Ritecaller: - Gold gained from triggering "while in play" effect reduced to 1 (was previously 2)
Combo 2 effect now adds a Wispheart Totem (the upgraded variant) to your cooldown pile, rather than the base Wispcaller Totem
Aside from those changes everything should be as I describe in the video, and both those changes were actually nerfs I was calling for in the guide so I am glad they went through with some balance changes before shipping the deck live.
Good luck in the new ranked season and hope you enjoy the new deck!
Really enjoy long analysis videos! There aren't many out there.
Also I really like the gameplay analysis!
Excellent job!!
Glad you enjoyed!
I like both types of video. The longer format is nice because it describes the game play with the deck a little more and explains some strategies.
Thanks, informative! This deck is crazy. On an unrelated note, wonder if we will ever see decks specifically for four-person games. It would be neat to play as partners like in bridge, with some partner-specific mechanics. As fun as ToT is already, there is a lot more that ZOS could do with it.
Really appreciate the in-depth longer video. Great work as always.
Thanks for the feedback!
I really like the analysis and strategy, personally. I'd enjoy hearing your thoughts during a game.
Same 👍
Have definitely heard you guys on this one, high ranked commentary uploads are in the works!
Same, I'm having troubles winning against other players and I'd love to see some game commentary
I have content like that! Hopefully pinkapple don't mind me plugging it on his stuff.
As much analysis as humanly possible would still be at the top of my watch list!
As long as you think there's something interesting/worth examining, I'd appreciate content on it. The tribute community is small but you're THE source of quality information about the game.
another cool video, - ty for this.
Glad you enjoy them!
Loving the deep analysis! Keep it up - I’m a big fan.
Thanks for the kind words!
I had to go back to watch because, there are agents trigger on opponent plays?!?! That is nuts, definitely makes them a kill on sight if they werent already.
Yeah its a crazy mechanic, pretty exciting thinking about what that might mean for future decks/mechanics.
Loving the great analysis videos, you make the info so clear, thank you for this. Really looking forward to trying this deck out, it looks nuts! Keep up the good work, you do it best 👍
I like the longer format. Thanks for all you do!
Big fan of the long analysis
Also, what are the decks you’re currently vibing with. Do you find yourself attached to any decks in particular
@@kuzococ9025 Responded to your discord message! Thanks for the feedback.
Great videos man, really helping me out! Hope you come back and do more vids!
More in depth analysis please! As love the advanced strategy video on deck cycling too. Took a ton of practice on npcs to see when to use deck cycling or avoid it happening. I can't wait to try the Druid King on Ps4. Thanks for making ToT so enjoyable. :D
BTW teir list is also very helpful. If I had to chose I'd pick your personal insight on in depth analysis. So good!!!
I love your Deck Guides!! This is a great addition to TOT..
I appreciated the quick coverage, but honestly I'd like to see more in depth info, like combos or strategies
Thank you for this early in-depth look at the Druid King deck! A couple of these cards definitely look overpowered as heck, though I wonder given ZOS' track record with Orgnum (which imo is a profoundly unfun deck to play with or against) if they'll choose to change these enough before launch. Otherwise this looks like a pretty interesting deck to play, and the excellent ways it synergizes with Psijic would mean I'd have reasons to play more with that deck as well.
As for shorter or longer form videos, I'm torn. While on the one hand there are times a 10+ minute runtime might discourage me from watching, I do appreciate when you go more than surface level on the game's strategies. So I guess it would depend on whether the topic merits a longer video or not.
Yeah looks like a fun deck, I just hope they nerf Ritecaller haha 😅
Thanks for the feedback!
Heyo ! Great vid 😊 did you post the tier-list Somewhere ? I didnt see them in the video would be awrsome to see! Btw thx yoir other vids helped me a lot to become decent player
Hey, glad to hear they helped out!
I have not posted a druid king tier list yet, I took some time away from the game and content creation due to some personal reasons. But I am getting back into it now so can expect more guides and tierlists soon :) an updated druid king gudie+tierlist will be in the works.
@@PinkAppleYT 👍👍great
Hiya Pink Apple, I watched all of your video guides.. But am I missing something? I can't find guides for Red Eagle, Sorcerer King or Rajhin.. Do they not exist?
Really enjoy your guides!!
They dont exist but will be released during U36 (This current patch)!
@@PinkAppleYT THANK YOU!
Even before watching this video, I was looking at Ritecaller pairing with Time Mastery as being insane currency generation. Pair it further with a Dreaming Cave and you can cycle the tavern to your heart's whim to get the cards you're looking for.
Definitely a bit of a broken deck but that's common with ZoS when they release new content.
I cannot wait to play this deck. I took a month off from ESO, how do you get this deck? Also I love you videos very helpful.
from what I've seen on PTS, it's the same as the Ansei deck (world bosses / vents / quest line) type thing - collect fragments to complete the deck.
Yep! @Andy Ball is correct. You can find a detailed description here on ESO-Hub: eso-hub.com/en/guides/how-to-obtain-the-druid-king-patron-deck-fragments
I'll also be making a short video covering the fragment sources closer to release (as well as showcasing the upgrade spots)
Just a heads up, PTS update today 10.10.22 changes Draoife Ritecaller's "while in play" effect from 2 gold to 1. Would be interesting to see if that change balances things a bit.
Hmm. Turn 5 victory with Druid and Crow. How many times can you draw your whole deck?
Yeah this deck can definitely ramp out of control real fast with the crow deck, likely will post some druid king+crow footage here soon.
Definitely hoping to see some card adjustments to keep that sort of thing in check 😅
Thanks a lot for your videos. Are you planning to come back with ToT content?
I really enjoy your videos but I have to ask, where are the videos for the other three decks?
Will be coming out in U36 (this patch)! Sorry for the delay.
Awesome! Keep up the great work!
As before in your other overviews of various decks such as , I think you overemphasize gold generation at the expense of raw power. In particular, I think you grossly underestimate Firesong Haruspex, which specifically encourages agent spam that can be impossible for your opponent to deal with. One of the most crushing effects of the druid deck overall is getting huge numbers of druid agents -- any druid agents -- that your opponent will have difficulty dealing with throughout the game in order to get some chimeras.
In most games, if you take Rajhin deck, you can defend against druid king by using curses to break your opponent's combos, but if your opponent gets a lot of druid cards early on, you will have to take bad druid cards to interfere with their combos. And the card that I most dislike seeing my opponent take is the haruspex.
I think druid king is a fine deck, but I don't pick it.
4:19 why does it say when an agent including this one, is placed in your cooldown yet the card says it is a Action card not a agent, never mind doesnt read that in live must been pts typo
Yep just an error on their end during PTS!
Looking around on the internet, I think Draoife is pronounced DREE-fa. However, any native Irish speakers, by all means correct me.
As for the deck, it looks very powerful. What are the counters that you've successfully utilized against it? Off the top of my head I think I would just try to keep agents out of the game and focus with a tidy Ansei/Pelin power strategy. Thoughts?
Thanks for the tip ^^ I've heard that there is quest givers in the new zone that say it in their dialogue so we will definitely know for sure soon enough.
As for counters, in the decks current balance its a bit tough to comment because honestly if someone gets 1-2 big turns with a ritecaller there is not much to be done about it 😅 Bewilderment cards have functioned decently (similar to how they mess up crow decks), but that is of-course assuming you are not giving them gold/power when you press it. I'll definitely have to add a section at the end of the tierlist video covering counters when I have more experience.
Best counter I've seen so far is Shadow Slumber from Rahjiin deck, while also building your own Druid King deck. It's unfortunately not a cheap card so a little difficult to pick up early game but if you're certain your opponent will be playing DK agents heavily, keep your eyes on the tavern for this card.
It isn't crippling but can slow down their combos and give you the breathing room you need for building up your own strong DK deck. As it stands right now though, DK is rather unbalanced in ToT and doesn't have great defensive options, so the best option is to ride the wave and pair strong DK and PL combos.
The npcs say it like "dree-fuh."
So typical, make the "new thing" so OP that it becomes the flavour of the month, and then nerf it later. 🙄
18min didn't feal that long to me. Not to excited about this deck though. Looks far to likely to cause easy run away victorys.
Definitely appreciate the feedback! And yeah some cards can definitely result in very quick snowballs currently. I am hoping since this is PTS we will see some changes before the deck goes live!
4:27 "when an agent, including this one, is placed in your cooldown" uhh.. this card is not an agent card lol 😂
