I wouldn't mind if this video lasted for 10 hours, your content and attention to detail is amazing
Im game
💯 I'm here building my mechanical keyboard just ASMRing to this Golden Era Honda content from LHT
I agree, this could have been a 20 part documentary I would have been glued to the seat watching every detail.
jamdc2000 Maybe we’ll do another CRX build with a lot more content. 👍🏻
@@LHTPerformance cant wait, stay safe guys
These older Hondas have a special place in my heart. My first brand new car back in the day was a Tahitian green pearl ED7.
I hear you! My first brand new car was an '84 Prelude purchased in December 1983. I still haven't owned a car with better steering feel.
"older" hey watch it lol
That's exactly my car now! I recently used it in a gag in one of my videos, too, because one of my best friends has a black ED7, so we made it look like I had changed the colour of his car. Hahahaha. Nothing is as analogue and beautifully direct, as the experience of driving an EF car. God's own chariot.
"About 1/8 of an inch. For you metric people, that's about 4kg."
I almost dropped my phone.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Funniest thing I've heard him say! The jokes people make between metric and imperial always make me laugh 😂
I'll stick to my donkeys, thanks
i'm a miserable bastard, and even i found that funny
I ran out of napkins wiping my tears of laughter
kilograms is weight, not length measurement
I wasn't a fan of these back in the late 90's as a teenager but I can really appreciate them now all these years later. Great looking little car.
Same here
I've had a couple of Honda hatchbacks with swapped engines. The '91 Si hatchback was my favorite of all of them. Same color. Mine had 'automatic' motorized seatbelts that would move out of the way, down the top of the door, towards the door mirrors. You could just leave the lap seatbelt 'snapped in' near the emergency brake all the time, if you wanted. I guess this kept the door panels from being damaged.
Anybody who has never driven a 88-91 hatchback or CRX should make a point of doing it. Manual transmission is a must. The perfect gokart for driving to work or cruising around, at up to 40+ MPG depending on how you drive.
Currently, I have a '90 Si hatchback with a D15 swapped, for maximum fuel economy. It's still fun to drive, but obviously a B18 would be far more fun. This era of Hondas were masterpieces of design.
This makes me miss my ‘89 CRX, thanks for a trip down memory lane.
As a Fox Body guy I'd just like to recognize the import community for getting over ridiculous body kits and going back to clean restomod style builds. This car looks incredible.
Normally, I see an LHT notification, I jump on it ASAP.
But, when I see an LHT upload about an old school Honda, I have to be careful not to crack the screen on my phone when I'm smashing the hell out of the like button.
Back in the day homey had an HF with the ITR swap. It was such a sleeper and super fun.
😭 it took me 2 years to do what you guys did in this single video!
Pays to have knowledge from decades of experience. Well done
Thank you for this video. Nostalgia. I too now on my late 40s done full circle and hav a 90s Honda in the shed.
I remember when my dad and I brought this car from the dealership May 91, I couldn’t sleep that night looking at the car.
108hp on the wheel?? man, the engine is a keeper!
108 bhp.
oh man can't wait for part 2. I'm so deep into this build!
I had the same set up in a 91 si hatch milano red, + 75 shot zex dry shot. Drove that car 14 years soo fun.
Nice. I'm sure it was deep in the 12s on the shot
Sure makes me miss my old CR-X. So much fun.
I love that you treat every car you work on as if it was yours. The attention to detail is absolutely amazing
Since day 1, I’ve put myself self in the customers shoes.
This was my Dream Swap back in the day!
This video hits me close to home. I have the exact same car, but as a hatch. It's even the same colour!
Thanks to John and Gorge for the Dedication made by each car of each independent client, that intrusion and Dedication in each job gives us the confidence to take our car to their workshop No matter how far we are, keep your Quality work a hug from a Distance Brian from Texas
I love when u guys work with CRX so much detail 🤩🤩
Another awesome build, can't wait for the next episode, thanks John and George your dedication to your craft is inspiring 👏👏👏.
U just took me back 27 years. I was a 16 year old high school senior when i got my first car. It was the same year color model as the car u have in this video. I loved the fact that it was a stick shift and a SI. I remember dropping it 2 inches then doing sum minor engine work..exhaust, intake, headers..man i miss my old car. It was excellent on gas as well. Thanks for the video man i really appreciate all the good work that u do. Keep on doing ur thing
My gosh thank you sir for this kind of content! Hope you get more of these classic legendary kind of cars aswell.... The "never forget to look back" kind of content much love from canada! Cant wait for the pt.2❣️❣️❣️
You guys are cool, really like your work and it feels like I've known you for a long time, familiar vibe. I'm a Honda fanatic and that CRX is just astonishing, finished product just impecable.
Solid content as usual. Excited for the finish! The attention do detail is perfect
Wow guys, awesome build so far and a beautiful CRX example, it reminds me of my friend Jim’s (RIP) CRX from the 90’s. It’s nice getting a peak back into LHT history with this build.
Lovely. I love how they sound when you start them up. Gorgeous little beasts.
I really love the attention to detail on the swap. Some people just swap engines and prioritize to gap people rather than paying attention of weak points on the swap that would cause problems like the header for example. Really nice job👌
As a tahitian green crx owner I love seeing this kind of content!
Ugh .... finally! Lol thank you for posting this cant wait to see the finished product. Definitely have given me some ideas for mine!
Love this build! And video. Can't wait for part 2.
When I fully restored/built my CRX I wanted to paint it this color so bad but my best friend that got me into these cars in high school had one this color and still owns it so I couldn't do mine the same exact color! I searched for years to get all the complete and clean parts that make up my car and mine is really complete and clean but this one's got me beat!
Love it man! You had me at B18C5.... Ain't nothing like a ITR swap! Especially with the factory helical LSD. Add in a Spoon ECU if you can find one, 9800 redline! WOW!!!
Stay tuned to our channel. We’re about to another CRX.
Excellent work as always guys. Keep it coming.
I’m happy you guys do whatever is perfect fit and reliability
I love the CRX. This is my third time watching this. I would love to build another one.
Awesome work. I hold other shops and companies to the LHT standard. Some people just don't get the idea of treating something like your own. 🙌 Thanks for the videos. 🤘
OMG! My girlfriend had an exact duplicate of that 91 CRX in Tahitian blue. I drove the crap out of that car and it just loved it. She must have hit me a hundred times for going too fast in corners!
Now I own an S2000.
LOVE your build. Can't wait to see part 2!
Love the content and wish it was more detailed like the DC2 ITR build. Keep up the amazing work and detail.
Great content. You guys are obviously a staple in the Honda world.
Almost bought the same car in the same color in 1996. I can smell the Honda scent in my brain still.
I love CRX's. I have a 91 EF hatch thats getting a k20 currently.
K24 with k20 head?
What a beauty I'm currently restoring my families old 85 accord they felt like civics back then so light and nimble
Great episode! That crx and color is amazing
Love the content, John & George!!! Tuning in on every video from Hawaiʻi!!!
Thanks buddy. 👍🏻
Really clean CRX and I'm glad you are cleaning up some of the stuff(garbage) he had installed in the engine bay :)
I’m overjoyed watching this build. Awesome 👏🏽👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Period correct👍🏾😁 I love EF &DA chassis . I've always just made an accessible door above the fuel tank. Dropping tank is an headache 🤦🏾♂️
that Hasport compressor bracket is super nice! you can also use the OEM CR-V bracket for that swap 👌🏼
Love the old school CRX, such a timeless shape 👍👍.
“Quickest” feeling car I’ve ever driven. Definitely not the fastest.
Way back in the 90’s. Was a heavily modified CRX si. Thing felt like a go cart. It was an absolute ripper. Not sure if it had an engine swap (probably not). But, it definitely had suspension work and it had no power steering. This car is going to be an absolute blast to drive after you guys are done with it. Beautiful work and subscribed.
Mmm... CRX’s remind me of my teenage years lol. I had a red 1990 CRX Si that I had bought off my sister & I absolutely loved it. It had upgrades like intake, headers, a computer chip, full exhaust, Eibach springs (coil overs were way to expensive back then) & that thing could skidaddle! That was way before “Fast & Furious” brought street racing to the masses so the race scene wasn’t nearly as large as it is today. I ended up crashing my CRX & I bought a VW Scirocco. Crashed that car & got a VR6 Corrado (LOVED that car!). Crashed that car & I decided that speed wasn’t my thing so I bought a truck instead hahaha! Ahhh... the good ‘ol days lol!
LHT + CRX = Best videos Awesome work guys
Man that thing is cleeaaann. I used to have a 91 civic Si Tahitian green pearl with a sohc ZC and now i want another one. Keep up the good work guys. That LHT TLC just hits different. 🔥🔥💪💪👏👏🤙🤙💯💯✨✨
Such a clean CRX can't wait for part 2
Man that is mint! Love the Borbets on it too, time period correct!
Such a clean car, Keep up the good work gentlemen. 👍
I love CRXes! Good old days! No unnecessary eletronics! Just a plain driver car! This CRX is well- kept by the owner! We don't see any good example of CRXes anymore!
Awesome work guys!
I like that color, I have a blue green paradise integra. The Aztec green gsr is also amazing 🔥
Great work! Looking forward to the dyno video
Thumbs up LHT
Yessss! Been waiting to see this soo badly!! Another job well done
Love the crx can't wait to get mine running again👍
Oh wow the car looks so perfect on the outside, so period correct with the Borbet Type C wheels and PIAA 1000 lights. I grew up reading Super Street in the late 90’s and all of those parts were so iconic!
A classic for sure, nice to see some of those old CRX's still in great condition. Im sure this build brought you back to the Tampa Racing days where you guys swapped about a million B16/18 engines into everything!
It sure did. I swapped over 100 B series CRXs at last count.
Quality build with great attention to detail. I'm on the opposite coast. If you were closer I would have you build my cars.
finally not a another s2000 lol love the build great job guys that is once clean crx
Dope video. Great build.
That pinstripe looks really good
We in Europa got the ee8 b16a1 model in celestial blue pearl, i loved mine so much. They cannot be found under 11000 usd right now😣rusted out! Even the D16z5 dohc are super rare. Good job keeping this one alive and better then oem. Love your style by making it fit instead of buying the fit.
Thanks, back in 2002 when I was doing my jdm B18C ( jdm 2000 itr ) swap in my crx ee8 ( europe ef8 ), was so much easier with everything bolt on ( b16 stock ). The big mods were for the châssis rigidity/suspensions/brakes etc to have a great handling car to go with the engine.
Man, that Eclipse 55040 head unit is so cool to see!! I have had a few of those and I love it, like everything else it is very period correct for this car!
Its like im in class getting schooled😆 and im enjoying it!always there's always something to learn
Man I wish I lived in Florida just so I could take my k series EM2 to you guys.
My dream build back in the day! Exactly with b18c5
Love that paint color!
Omg. It's freaking Christmas right now. Literally what I've always wanted but never had. I've owned two crx's and only had the stock single can and the JDM DOHC ZC.
Beautiful car and great video!
Bueatiful car and build. Nice job as always!
My god this is exactly like MY crx. I have the exact same setup in my 91 celestial blue pearl resto-mod DX/ Si clone. Right down to the SPAL a/c fan. Only thing I'm missing is those LHT engine mounts. And yes, I cringed you mentioned the fuel pump. I'm coming to you guys when I'm ready for a turbo
Digging the old school borbet wheels 😁🔥
What are these wheels actual name I can’t find the actual name anywhere nor can I find any for sale anywhere
@@Thatonehondaaa that is the brand I think they are no longer available
Amazing Job guys !!
Fantastic work, I wish you would come back to europe, Florida is just a bit too far to visit your shop, greetz from Amsterdam.
Love CRX. An icon and fast even with the stock engine
Miss my 89; and almost bought a new 91 in that same color
Drooling over here. I miss my 91 Rio Red CRX Si. I’m in the process of getting my 89 Polar White Civic Si road worthy again. But she is no where near as clean as this gem.
Borbet Type C's ftw! And that wing actually worked. I know first hand thx to a spin After removing the wing.
Such a fun reliable car. This is what a real Honda is 😍
super wow!!!! so awesome!
wish i could post pics on here. i have a 91 crx si with 170,000mi its black with 17" voxx racing gun metal 6 spoke wheels and smoked headlights . DC header magnaflow cat and pacesetter exhaust. skunk2 coilovers, upper and lower control arms. and neuspeed strut brace. literally just put a clutch in it today. other than that it stock and in just as good of condition as this one is. ive had it for 17yrs got it with 74k its never seen a winter road. such a fun car to drive
Those Borbet Type C wheels are early 90s classics.
Love watching things like this.
Awesome job guys
🤤 More Golden Era™ Honda's please LHT! 🤤
That's a CLEAN CRX!
Fantastic video
Holy crap! My first car was a new 1990 Civic Si in white and I put Borbet Type C wheels on mine!!!!!
WOW! This is truly beautiful! Memories driving this Honda CRX mine was an ol 89! Great car I really miss it! Great detail amazing planing! Thank you for sharing you made my day! That red hood lifts you should check out PASSWORD JDM back in the day I bought some from them. I don't know if their still around but those red ones have got to go. Just saying.
I'd love to have a swap done by pros like you guys some day
Thanks. Check out the play list for the Las test CRX we’re building.
