I'm a big Oliver Ekman Larsson fam. Whatever was wrong with him the last few years he seemed to have gtten over last season. I do hate to hear " He's a really god skater, for his age." So he's a terrible skater? Worse than average? That's not a helpful qualifier.
They haven't done anything to improve the team. Goal tenders are a big question mark considering Woll is always hurt. The D men are old and slow, so no improvement over last year. How does the leafs head office still have job.

But if he was willing to do a sign a trade they could give him more term than other teams could is my understanding. Not positive on that, but that is my understanding. I believe they could sign him to an extension for 7 or 8 years somewhere in the 85-100 million range and Utah would have their franchise star locked up. He could get a lot of endorsements in the Utah area for that previously untapped market which might appeal to him. Plus he would play a lot and have very little media pressure on him compared to Toronto.

This has nothing to do with a new contract. The player has the control and if a team wants the player to waive the NMC, then no player should waive it that is in his situation without compensation.
As big of a cluster @#$% the Leafs can be, the Calgary organization takes it to another level. Do we really think the Flamers are going to be any different with Treliving gone?

I think treliving really needs to explore trading for 1 of ekblad weegar or trouba, tgeyre available and rielly needs to be shown the door
