@@KamalaChameleon Exactly! This video actually blew my mind. This whole time I thought it was a 2D image of a pre-rendered 3D graphic. Never knew they were actual polygons on the screen... afterall, they never move so what's the point?
I knew it wasnt 2D back when I was younger. You could tell it was an S laying down behind the P and it's even in different colours as well to make sure you can tell the difference.
Is this video for real? What was the information conveyed here? That a logo had a certain design feature over another? What was the hidden feature? I have so many questions but none are regarding the design of the logo
What confuses me more is the the logo itself looks like it’s from an angle where the P and the S aren’t shown to be even with each other, like the P looks like it’s too far to the right and crooked

When I see the startup, it scares me. Now, I conquered this fear and this is like... For the ones who are PS1 enjoyer. A good startup for the beginning of the PlayStation.
First of all, this is all common sense. Second of all, it's a good thing they didn't animated because their first playstation load up screen was perfection

I wonder if they had an idea for something akin to the N64 Logo, what with how it was constantly manipulated in different ways. But they probably saw it as extraneous to the console's function, especially since unlike the N64, the logo would be on the system itself rather than the games.
of course, it's 3d, how else are you going to flex that fact that your console is made for 3D? also, 3d will look sharper and cleaner than just loading a 2d image, which might actually also take up more space in the boot rom than just unshaded polygons
