Man i really hope both sides wont have some heated arguement on the way. İ dont know if participants with opposite views will be interacting on plane or on land that much. But i hope they keep it cool!
The fact that everyone taking a photo of the Sun at any given time, no matter where they are in the world, see the same pattern of sunspots, is already proof that the Sun is very much farther away than the distance between any two of the people taking photos. This also falsifies FE, which requires the Sun to be close to the Earth relative to the diameter of the purported disc.
Thank you TFE for your assistance in settling "the debate" once and for all to anybody that is a legitimate flat earther. Well, apart from those that think there will be a "sun simulator" ofcourse. Thank you again for helping make this a reality. Too much time has been wasted on this subject, when there are actual things debatable and worthwhile via our attention, et al

@@CryptoRoast_0 same, just going off memory, I'd make around 8 hours of sunlight my guess, it shows the ~direct sunlight area on the a.e. map. probably take 10 seconds to look at it. I don't know any flatter that claims the a.e. map or the claims on it, must be true for earth to be flat.
@@psalux18963 no idea what you are talking about. The stuff in the sky keeps doing the same thing, so the only prediction that is being made is that it will keep doing the same thing, not much of a prediction for either side to get excited about.
Any sort of cloud cover, any sort of bad weather, or anything that in any way could block/obstruct the sun will no doubtedly be used to attempt to throw shade on this project
I hope you're sensitive to the rotation of the sun being dependent not only on when, but where it is being taken from. From UG it should be little rotation at all. Will take a bit of math/programming. The sun's rotation axis is roughly parallel with the earth's (7 degrees off) so it's north pole is roughly the same as ours. But it takes a little more than 3 weeks to complete one rotation, so sunspots won't move much over the 3 days you are watching it. So we can take it as a simple clock face, with 12:00 (north) pointing roughly at Polaris (within 7 degrees). Nick Davies is pretty near the equator, so if he's looking at a sunrise, north on the sun will be directly to his left. If sunset, right. At noon, if he's looking south, 12 on the sun will be toward the back of his head. If north, his chin. So which way the sunspots go depends on which way he turns to watch the sun during the day. If he turns to his right, they will go counterclockwise. Let's see if I'm right.
If Witsit isn't going, and Jeran is still going then that says a lot about Jeran. Jeran originally asked for Witsit to join as he was worried for his life if he was the only flat earther, he said something like "they'd never let a flat earther see the evidence".
2 questions. is it possible to so it at weekend? (bc work yk). And if so,then where do i post it? I do have 600mm lens that i can use. Im far north over Estonia. Meaning in FE i should look oposite side of sun.
Im in the Midwest of USA. Ive got a gopro 360, I'd be willing to orient it in a specific way and timelapse the entire 5 days. I don't have a solar filter though, so if thats a deal breaker I totally understand. Let me know if a timelapse/constant video for an entire day (or multiple days) would help at all.

He prepared what he thought was a gotcha way of getting out of going by insisting that unless Will signed a contract that was approved by Wisitt, that he wouldn't go. Will said "Sure no problem" and signed it.
I'm glad to see this happening, but I still say that sending a crew to the North pole and a crew to the South pole on March 21st would've been better, why, because both crews would observed the Sun go around at the horizon for 24 hours, but the crew at the North would observe it go clockwise while the crew at the South would see it go counter clockwise, only on a Globe that this can happen. 😁
Your suggestion is relevant, I said the same a few times as a challenge to derive the shape of the world. But probably sending people at the north pole (the ice beneath them also keeps moving) would probably be more difficult and expensive than going to the south pole. If Duffy wasn't using a touristic company, also getting close to the south pole would be an impossible task (if you aren't a billionaire).
In the southern hemisphere, we watch the sun all year from noon to sunset, traveling from right to left. Impossible on flat earth. In the southern hemisphere, we watch the sun in summer rise in the south east and set in the south west. Impossible on flat earth.

Have people take astrophotos of stars visible from both hemispheres. Like Sirius, Arcturus, Rigel, Antares and others. Report the elevation angle/latitude and plot against a map.
Good Idea, though I'm sure that in this day & age of "amatuer" astonomy alone, there would be some pics available for comparison, even if nobody intentionally participated. & Just be warned, all that it will take to "raise doubt" in the flat erf community, is for just a single flat earther to do what they do best & intentionally lie(BC #GLTF) about the time/date of their photo(s). False dichotomy means that he is fine with the Sun 24/h in Antarctica in order to maintain his flat Earth dogma. A dichotomy without an alternative to the flat Earth contemplating a 24/h Sun in Antarctica is not a dichotomy. It's the globe.

He will have a spreadsheet with all fallacies written ;D
Need to make a *final* counter to see how many globers participate in taking pics of the sun vs flerfs. Should be a fun result. 😉
I sold all of my own astrophotography gear to go all in on radio astronomy, but I know several people who do phenomenal solar photography work and would no doubt be elated to participate. I’ll spread this as far and wide as is possible. Best wishes to you and all who accompany you on this adventure! I can’t wait for the results, keep warm and safe travels.
*"Sunny* *days* *Oh,* *sunny,* *sunny,* *sunny* *days..."*
Have I said I’m super excited yet? I’m not even going but I’m totally pumped about this! Can’t believe it’s almost here but I’ve enjoyed every bit along the way since TFE was first announced.
You all be safe out there, do your thing but be sure to have fun on the journey. I would be happy to see the flat earthers and the debunkers hug it out and just be cool with each other on this trip, I have a feeling that once they all meet, they’ll find that they don’t really despise each other, like they appear to in their videos and debates. Life is too short to fret about the small stuff in life and it’s all small stuff.
How was just trip approved?
Make it as undeniable as possible, 24 hour video, even have a stopwatch, etc. Make it to where no one is going to say "it was edited and pieced together to make it look like that!" Also, the sundial still being used? What else is being taken TFE?
There is a guy in this comment section called jimygod who knows the flat earth flight navigation map ! But he won’t tell me where it is ! Can anybody else tease it out of him .
There are many: flightradar24, planefinder, flightaware or flightconnections that is another type
Forget about Jimygod he is really s.....
The is another one called greatcirclemap that show you the flight path between two cities
If you want for boat there is vesselfinder
now this is so cool. i dont think anyone has been able to do something like this. i really hope we can get all continents to send a photo of sun spots
And Flatzoid was like "Na ah. I don't need to make predictions, the burden of proof is on you!"
I've still got my bet on the table for anyone willing to take it on, anything from £10,000 to £50,000 whatever you are comfortable with, I'm saying that there WILL be a 24 hr sun when these guys go to Antarctica.
They don't care. The post is moved. Now it's pitch data. Now it's antipodal position. I asked Brian logic to go, to prove his point. But no. He, and Oakley could physically sit with the pilot and do his own observation. But no. Observation and diagnostic is surely how we learn

I think it would be good to get solar photos from most latitudes covered too, especially from the artic north where the sun only peaks just above horizon in december
I am really hoping I can Livestream the sun all 4 days that way there can be no argument that it was recorded beforehand
Someone contact Astrobiscuit. I'm sure he'll take part.
I can't help in those ways, but I want to go. 😂 Safe travels, folks.
I have a solar filter for my digital telescope and will take photos of this from Southern Idaho, USA.
Do you need help from New York, Westchester County?
I would love to participate! Email sent. This is going to be so cool!
Ive asked several prominent flerfs for their prediction for sun rise and set times at union glacier for december. They all blocked me. They claim they can make predictions but fall apart when there isnt a globe prediction for them to rip off.
you can probably ~figure it out using the ae map, let me know what you come up with.
@MATTINCALI I have precisely zero interest in doing that. We're always doing flerfs work for them. Their silence on the matter speaks volumes.
@@MATTINCALIWhen I use the Gleason map and make predictions, by necessity using assumptions when nothing is established by flat earthers, they always refuse 'en bloc' because I only made assumptions, you can't look at the sky for knowing how the ground is made, etc.
Why doesn't a flat earther that is really interested in the truth make this prediction as a personal need to verify what he believes?
Most probably because they know it's only a matter of faith, and reality doesn't matter at all.
I'm in got my scopes ready
By us organised too, i hope the weather will help us.
I hope someone decides to do startrail photography
😊

It's a bit difficult with 24h sun, but they could try ...
Happy to support from Germany, but wouldnt it make sense to align on specific UTC times to take the photos?
That will work for only one half of the globe (divided East-West)
Local time can always be calculated to UTC.
Accurate time stamped pictures.
@@mballer Sure, but sun spots can be volatile and it would help if we had some samples with the same timestamp coming from different areas.
If Witsit isn't going, and Jeran is still going then that says a lot about Jeran. Jeran originally asked for Witsit to join as he was worried for his life if he was the only flat earther, he said something like "they'd never let a flat earther see the evidence".
Creaky blinder will help
I WISH I had a telescope and the equipment for solar photography...
Call up some local observatory, maybe they'd like to get in on the action.
I predict nobody will find the dome.
Will be getting some nice solar filter sun footage during TFE, UK weather permitting!
so the flerfs complain that they don't know these flat earthers that are going but can't remember which big name flerfs declined the trip?

@@MATTINCALISo, what's your excuse from going?
Hey Dont knock my 24 ultra zoom..! lol i can get sunspots shooting through my welding lens , pretty cool...
But FE can't and doesn't present a model. Therefore they can't make predictions.
Definitely not the final. The grifters will still preach, but it will HELP
Will you have starlink or similar there? I can help
2 questions.
is it possible to so it at weekend? (bc work yk).
And if so,then where do i post it?
I do have 600mm lens that i can use.
Im far north over Estonia.
Meaning in FE i should look oposite side of sun.
24 sun would tell it all
Wil try to help from Norway , have the right equipment for sun photography:)
I'd love too and even have a solar filter for my P900 but I don't think its the right kind of filter to be able to capture sunspots.
So what preparations do you have to keep peope fro going to sleep and then claiing the sun must have set while they were asleep.
At what UTC time from 14 to 18 December is it better to take picture of sun? Мaybe local zenith time?
Brother you just said sunspots are like fingerprints accept they change over time! The Finger Print Never Changes So you just proved that a Sunspot is nothing like a fingerprint! ♾️👀♾️
Dan the waterboy whining? Never heard that before.
Based on past performance, the USA will help about 2 to 24 hours before the end of the experiment.
So what aboutt Whittsitt? Is he pteparing something?
He prepared what he thought was a gotcha way of getting out of going by insisting that unless Will signed a contract that was approved by Wisitt, that he wouldn't go.
Will said "Sure no problem" and signed it.
Flerfs will just say that they were hoodwinked and were really North of the Arctic Circle.
That has already been "suggested" by some flat earthers
But there's 24 hour darkness in mid december inside most of the arctic circle. That would be impossible anyway.
@psalux18963 Yes. But they will claim it anyways. Critical thinking is not their strong suit
@psalux18963 I forgot to mention time travel.
@@glars37 It seems that many northern hemisphere flunts aren’t aware of this basic fact.

Will, how much interaction do you expect with ALE's other customers?
They will probably be globers by default, who haven't considered or taken part in flat earth discussion previously.

Have people take astrophotos of stars visible from both hemispheres. Like Sirius, Arcturus, Rigel, Antares and others. Report the elevation angle/latitude and plot against a map.
Stars? In Antarctica? In December?
See the problem?
@@icansciencethatNot really, people in Antartica would say the only star I see is the Sun.
I'd expect at least one(with no or sus EXIF), so be prepared to just toss any such outliers from the data like old shoes. Not to be negative even before the fact but, we know how they roll.

Flatzoid won’t be making any predictions. He made a comment on his own channel 13h ago about the upcoming MDD appearance:
“I’m simply there to show him how it’s a false dichotomy and nothing but a waste of money and time.”
(The ‘false dichotomy’ is whether the sun sets being a distinction between flat and globe. He claims both are possible on flat earth)
False dichotomy means that he is fine with the Sun 24/h in Antarctica in order to maintain his flat Earth dogma. A dichotomy without an alternative to the flat Earth contemplating a 24/h Sun in Antarctica is not a dichotomy. It's the globe.
Exactly as predicted.
Meanwhile : “Flatzoid, are you willing to publicly admit you were wrong about flat earth if we see a 24h sun in Antarctica in December?”
Flatzoid, in the smuggest pose possible : “YES!”
My conclusion is that the Earth is Always beneath the Sky 🌌 & the consists of the Lands & Waters of the Earth so that remains beneath the Sky 🌌☀️🌙

Because the lower Half of the Sphere is not in use according to the Model it is still Flat Earth Theory of Nature Showing the Working’s as Flat Earth function!
