- Hiya guys, well here she is!
Here I talk you through my custom built and modified BRK Ghost with a custom slug barrel shooting the incredible 30.5 grain Zan Projectiles at 1025fps.
Purpose built for long range hunting and PRS Competition!
I also walk and talk you through engaging small targets at long range in field conditions with first round impacts.

That wind is a bugger, I missed one last night due to that. My windicator was blowing right to left so I held off to the right... my shot missed way to the right and when the dust kicked up I saw it blowing left to right lol

Excellent as always, is the barrel of this rifle a standard Brocock Ghost barrel? .because I heard that the standard Brocock Ghost barrel can't shoot slugs accurately
Thanks buddy. No this is not a standard BRK/Daystate barrel, the standard barrels don’t shoot slugs very well at all.
This is a R+D barrel that we have developed.

Do you think a barrel tensioning system would benefit this long 711mm barrel?
No absolutely not, and this goes for any manufacturer. Barrel tensioning equipment was introduced by FX to minimise barrel droop and zero loss with long 700-800mm barrels. It doesn’t improve accuracy it actually compromises it.
This is my opinion yes but there is decades of research gone into this very subject and it was identified over 100 years ago that barrel tensioning compromises accuracy and fully free floating is the best way to go or at least as free floating as possible. The Red Panda that dominated the bench rest world in 2023 doesn’t have a BT. Ever wonder why you never see top professional shooters using BT on the podium, yeh that’s right because they don’t use them.
BT do help cure barrel droop and POI shift on the likes of FX’s with long 700 and especially 800mm barrels, other than that its just an accessory to make money and thats it.
Facts - backed by decades of research and results, especially winning results without BT 👌🏻
@@precisionairguns5553 I totally agree. I bought a barrel tensioner for me .22 cal. Ghost with a 23in. barrel. My groups doubled and the gun was super loud, even with a moderator. I sent it back for a refund.
@@elvisjerrylee exactly mate, just look how the BRK Ghosts performed at RMAC 2024 - all the BRK team members didn’t even make the top 50 in bench!!
