I love listening to your voice it's so relaxing I am not a beginner but I have started making harder things and your videos are my favorite to learn from
I love this - I am going to use it in Autumnal colours to look like berries, on blankets I am making for my granddaughters. Their names are Rose, Daisy and Autumn so I am incorporating all three designs into blankets predominantly based on their favourite colours. Wish me luck!
Robin, you are the easiest to follow so far. I appreciate you so much. I haven't crocheted for years and you are helping me to get back in my groove. Love this technique for granny squares. Thank you!
I have never made a Granny Square in my life. I never was able to understand my mothers instruction. You have made it very clear and easy to follow. Thank you. :)
I love the popcorn blanket , its pretty, and easy , your tutorials are perfect to follow , you say the words correctly, speak clear , and make it interesting , thankful so much
I have always shied away from doing squares or panels or anything that require sewing. When I found this pattern I was a little nervous about it. The join as you go technique was a little confusing at first but I am getting it!! Loving every minutes of this! Thank you for your beautiful pattern!! Can't wait to finish this!!
oh my goodness!! I started these squares over 25 YEARS ago!!I lost the pattern but some how, 2 or 3 of the squares managed to follow me as I moved 4 times in all those years 😆 So happy I stumbled upon this tutorial!! Now I will finally finish it. And oh what a story I will tell 😅Thank you so much❤
It's a beautiful blanket!!! Your method is superb! I love how everything matches up and it's so tidy. I must also say that you explain everything so well. You're an exceptional instructor, thank you 🧡
This has to be one of the best crochet tutorials I'v ever watched. Very clear instructions and the work is so close to the screen that I can actually see what stitch you are using. BRAVO Robin, excellent teacher! thank you
How beautiful! 💕 Thank you for sharing your time and amazing talent. I am still a relatively new crocheter and, in all honesty, I have been afraid of granny squares...the idea of sewing all the squares together is quite daunting. With your join as you go method, I might have the courage to give it a shot. 😄😄😄 Thank you again. Sending you and yours all the best. Please stay well, safe and happy.
Who else is already sourcing yarn and deciding on a color palette before the written pattern is released? LOL Update: I went with Premier Anti-Pilling in color Dove w/ Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly Dip Dye in color Carnations, for a queen-sized bed. :D
I just bearly stumbled upon this video today, and I am so glad that I did. I have to say that the blanket that you created out of these popcorn granny squares is absolutely stunning! So beautiful!
My goodness robin,,your amazing, always when I lose inspiration, there you are with another lovely project, this is stunning I love it,I will definitely do this one ,thank you sooooo much Robin,🌼🌼🌼🌼
This is so pretty Robyn, now I’m tempted to make this instead of my sunburst squares. Oh the dilemma you have given me. I’m so easily distracted by so many different beautiful projects. Thanks for sharing this 😘
Oh my this is beautiful 🤩 i will have to save and make this sometime in the future. Not too soon though I’ve just finished off a granny square king sized blanket 😂
Found your video this afternoon. Needed to get rid of some scrap yarn and started a blanket with a black border. Completed four squares already. Lovely simple pattern 👌 😊 ❤
Thank you for this. I am very new to crocheting (just a few months). And I found these easy enough to make. I did something unusual with mine, that I think I'm happy with. I tend to experiment a lot when I'm learning I made 2 of these squares and attached then together down the middle,. Then embedded them in a sweater I'm creating (in single crochet),. Centered about an inch and a half below the necklunem. I think I'm quite happy with it. These are really pretty inside a sweater too.
Agreed 🙂. I'm liking my sweater,. But next time I think I would just make your flowers without the square background part and just sew them on at the end.
Ur way of teaching is very easy to understand i will really make this beautiful blanket Popcorn stitch thanks for sharing such a beautiful pattern madame lkng for more tutorial
Omg I love this so much! My house is already overflowing with afghans but I love the soft pink and yellow flowers on a grey background and the texture looks so snuggly. I have to have one, lol.
I absolutely love this pattern I've made 4 squares and joined already in 1 colour smile. Robyn please can we have another popcorn square pattern in a heart or butterfly or something to complement this 1? It's so super easy and I've got it memorised. Thank you for all your help x
I love your tutorials! This one looks intimidating at first, but you explained it so well that I can now make the squares from memory. Thank you, thank you!
I love this so much, but I cannot have another blanket project ongoing! Though I am using your “tight join as you go” method for the granny square temperature blanket I’m making right now. 🥰
Robin you motivate me to crochet. I’ve made 3 purmaids already and here I am wanting to learn more. Keep bring on the tutorials I enjoy watching and learning. Thank you so much from California USA
Hi Robin can you tell me or have you a video of how to do a boarder once this blanket has been joined as it isn't straight. I am coping this beautiful pattern religiously but don't know how to do the boarder. Thank you for your amazing tutorials. You are my fav xxxx
Lovely. Just lovely. I made mine like a Daisy because I love Daisies, lol. Now if I want to make a whole blanket out of these, I need to go buy more white and yellow yarn cuz this one's a yarn eater, lol! Can't wait to get a few done and then come back for the JAYG part of this tutorial. Thank you for this, it was very easy to follow, esp for someone who is intimidated by this stitch. Much appreciated.
What a lovely blanket, love it! Will definitely try this out 😀 I'm relatively new to crochet (been dabbling in it only since March this year) but your tutorials are so easy to follow, I just can't go wrong 😉
Oh! Wow! Till now, I would have definitely shied away from anything like this. However your wonderful, clear, concise, slow as you go Tutorial, is absolutely PERFECT. I have done a few of your shawls that have been a great success. Feel I can now have a go at tackling this. Thank you for all your amazing tutorials and inspiration. Patricia 💕
I've been crocheting for 60 yrs. Oi never proofread. I've taught at 2 Michael's stores and library's and even McDonalds And senior apartments. Kind of lost interest so gave thousands of dollars away to other knitters andcrocheted. Your an excellent and patient teacher .
As always, another fabulous tutorial. I am putting this project on my to do list. I am finishing one project and already have two more on the go so this one will be in the wings. Thanks so much.
@@HookedbyRobin I don't know if you know or watch Pricilla at Distinctive Crochet, she is doing a MAL where you crochet your scraps together to make thicker tubes of yarn and then crochet that into a project. I am going to make my tubes into a giant sized square with this pattern as well. I think throw pillows would be fabulous!
So totally in love with this project. I was on the hunt for something new and this is perfect. I love how you show and explain the process. Looking forward to learning more. Thank you.
Already started it, love it, is so relaxing to do and comes together quickly which I like. Addicted to crocheting since finding your channel last year in lockdown! 👌👍🙏🌟😍
Love this blanket it is so pretty, have made a 20 square by 20 square blanket. Now im trying to decide on what border to add. What type of border are you all thinking of using?
Have you a tutorial for your border yet Robin. Love your patterns and tutorials, have made so many of them all beautiful. Great and clear instructions on every tutorial. Thank you for all your hard work
This pattern is really super, easy to stop and start and the initial tutorial is calm and very well explained…lots of wee tips too 😉 I used the blue driftwood colour and have continued it into the squares instead of using a contrast colour - lovely wool to work with. (Any tips for adding a final border would be appreciated! Style? )
@@HookedbyRobin thanks for the reply- yes I had a look at different styles of borders and felt something of a plain ‘block’ might be best as the ‘granny squares’ with the flowers in the driftwood is quite ‘busy’- thinking of going for a slate blue 😉 so thank you for your recommendation 👏🏼
