There is not much more to add to this excellent tribute to Frank Stella. His work is something that goes beyond the borders of painting and sculpture and the sheer beauty of the shapes and colors in many of his works is astounding. The 60s were where we first heard of his work and where he was able to take off and never return to planet earth as anything but an international art star as an innovator and ground-breaking artist.
RIP Frank Stella -
I was a student of the Visual Arts in the 80s. I can honestly say your works have had a profound influence on me, and how I see the world of art now.
Godspeed.
Stella! Very creative. RIP Frank.
An artist like Frank Stella was inspiring and very special to the world.
Love his stuff - all of it
Love this!
I remember my first impression of his grad school work. I understood that he had a long road ahead that would never end. Well, it ended yesterday. But-the dialogue will take a longer time to catch up. RIP
REST IN PEACE MY HERO❤
His passing was inevitable. Unwanted but inevitable.
Frank Stella’s art was frank steller
🙏🏾🥲🕊🎨🖌
I enjoy some of Stella’s work, but his geometric circles and squares was so copied in 1980s commercial decorative art that it can’t escape looking dated.
