Nah, I don't think it's that much... Because, he recently purchased another vivid red flawless diamond which is around the same size & he says it's around $2-5 million _(he doesn't tell us the exact price)..._ And in that video, he claims that his new purchase is more expensive as compared to this current red diamond in this video...
So, I assume the diamond is anywhere around $1-2 million...

that's the thing made me wonder, he's nice, great and can be role model. Michael turns out very nice, understanding, humble, sporting and very polite person despite being a very successful man. not many people stay in a positive attitude when they already know they can earn more than others. Few people spends their earnings with people work with them. Michael does and shows his appreciation. Nice man....

Me too, when I first watched I thought he was the typical rich pompous blowhard but in reality he's motivational, educational and has inspired me to invest even more then I was and to diversify what I invest in. Hopefully one day I can have a 10th of Michael and build for my kids and grandkids.

The alloy to make rose cold is copper, rose gold even looks like copper.
A common mix-or alloy-for rose gold is 75% gold and 25% copper by mass (18K).

@illegit Yellow watch gold is also 18 ct. It's mostly a gold-steel alloy. As for rose gold being more expensive than white gold, that's called marketing and demand.
the dagger is gorgeous but needs a longer chain....you're pretty tall and that dagger would feel more comfortable and look better if it was hanging an inch and a half or two lower...
you should have the pink diamond pendant revalued as pink are becoming more difficult to get hold of and the price has gone up substantially in the past couple of years....

oh, and you were 98% accurate......no 8ct in europe, but 9ct...... the rest you were pretty bang on....silver and copper are the metals normally used to alloy gold, and palladium is used to create white gold these days....used to be nickel until they realised nickel is poisonous

Rose gold is an alloyed mixture of gold & primarily copper but if it is going to be a low karat rose gold then they will add a little bit of silver to prevent the copper from causing too much tarnishing after the product is finished because copper is highly corroded metal with just oxygen and water. White gold will have a mixtures alloy of gold & nickel to get the color change and again they will use silver to keep the strength of the alloy up with preventing as easily from being tarnished/corroded after the product is done. You are right in general about the cost for identical karat golds to be valued at white/rose/yellow because of the amount of extra work involved to make the alloy is probably what fetches the higher premium.

Yes correct. Same thing with bullion. American gold eagles and gold Krugerrands have that same 'rose' tone to them because they also have copper in them.
Not to sure if I’m right but explain to me how u can get 22 k rose gold they can’t just fling a load of copper into the mix it still needs to be a certain percent of gold like 18 k is 750 hallmark which means it’s 75% gold for 22 it obviously a lot more or do they just put the other 25% copper and other base metals to give it that colour?
all carat gold have amounts of copper in....the stamp number, 375, 585 or 750 tells you the percentage of pure gold in the alloy....the rest of the alloy would be made up of silver and copper in varying degrees according to the colour of the gold you need

May I share several details with you regarding gold? I am a fan of your videos and your knowledge and charisma. White gold and yellow gold and Rose gold are all of the same value and the value is based on pure gold Spot. That means the Spot value, and this is the Wholesale market price of gold per ounce broken down into fractions of a gram and then marked up to retail. Retail is obviously unlimited and based on many retail details.
You also have a wonderful jewelry collection, I have what I feel is a parallel collection of variety but on a different scale but just as much appreciated.
Lastly I bring up rose gold. You expressed some interest in how it comes to be and you are right! It is mixed up with another ingredient and that magic ingredient is just plain old pure copper. Rose gold is a combination of pure gold and pure copper. That’s it :-)
The very last thing I wanted to tell you and Adam, hey buddy :-), is that the purity content of gold jewelry can be determined by multiplying the karat value times four. That’s it , it’s just that simple.
14 Karat is 56% gold, 24 karat gold is still processed from Field Gold which is considered 25K. Pure natural and Unprocessed and unmelted gold is 25K. Pure gold jewelry cannot exceed 24K. These are the deepest details of the material and I hope they help you to continue enjoying your passions!
By the way, your pink diamonds are very pretty, fantastic and a little bit more rare than I think you are aware of :-)
The word diamond is a retail marketing tool. The actual material that those sparkly little rocks are made out of is called carbonium in natural chemistry. That’s the last thing I can think to share with you for the time being, keep up the style, your fans appreciate you!

@@nssherlock4547 It was my understanding that as a rule of thumb the richer the colour, the more expensive. Hence a vivid (aka fancy vivid) would cost more than just fancy.
