im glad you are highlighting the series x/s controller, its what im rocking and it is one of the best fighting game controllers and its easy to get anywhere. People dont believe it, but they havent really tried it. The d-pad is great. Speaking about the trigger problem and upkicks and things like that you mention, ill share with you what i do... i use the triggers like this- LT for D.I, RT for Parry.. then LB for Hk and RB for Hp and i just used 2 buttons for OD moves, which is easy enough and easy to get used to...i think having the macros set up for DI and Parry are ultimately more important in this game since they are largely reaction based. This setup works for most characters...i might change it up slightly for diff characters. Its also worth noting that, at first i never used negative edge. But what ive found out thru experience is that it benefits certain characters and hurts others. For example, Neg Edge ON is great for Cammy....not needed at all, but def gives you a bit of a cushion and consistancy boost on the rare fumbled input. But say for Akuma, Neg Edge off is better, because it will eff you all up with it on, and you will consistantly get the wrong specials, specifically in combo enders, with it on. For example, it will give you heavy adament flame when you try to combo into light tatsu from a c.Hp, and theres plenty others like that. Just thought id throw my 2 sense in there for what its worth
Yeah, I’m much the same way. I’ve played with both and the Xbox controller just feels more comfortable to me. The PS5 controller feels like moving through quicksand to me when you’re doing inputs but the Xbox controller I found it to be seamless with no restriction of movement on the stick.
out of all the controllers i've tested probably all of the pads (betop, 8bitdo, xbox, DS, hori, powerA, razer etc.) , so far victrix has been the best that being said their warranty sucks ass though.
yea Id go with Series x/s over off brand ass vitrix. Reg Series x/s controller = $54 - $70....vitrix = $170 bucks. And if you are the type of person than can play good on a pad, you can 100% get good with the series x/s d-pad.....its a great D-Pad for fighting games, and its durable. Maybe the only truly durable part on the controller lol, but atleast it is the most important part. Ive tried many many controllers for sf, and series controller is for sure up there among the best for it
@@nunyabizwacks6711 the position of the d pad just sucks for me on series x. I found a good controller for cheap recently 8 bitdo m30 Xbox wired. Been using it over the victrix cost less than 30
Victrix is crap. Ive used 3 of them all of them are rubbish. I got a dualsense edge which is better and its currentely the fastest responding controller
I really liked how the hori octa felt but mann that Dpad is cursed Lol. Even with their firmware update that Dpad would reset to neutral so I would constantly get weird inputs and often my character would just stop blocking all together.
@@shyco321utube Yea I tried almost everything to make the dpad work for me. I'm curious, if you don't mind, try going into SF6 training mode with inputs on and dash do you get a diagonal forward input?
I love the Betop c3.It's cheap and affordable good enough to get the job done. It is more on the lighter side and looser pivot type of dpad. Other than that loved dualshock 4.
I really don't get how you use a pad. It breaks my hands after 40 minutes of play, I do play Guile like you mentioned so probably why. Hitbox is the way to go imo the comfortability aspect and how precise it is can't be beaten. Also it has fun shortcuts you discover along the way to play more optimally :)
The Hori Octa Commander which is licensed for ps5 & xbox is the best pad out there for it's low price & everything it offers. People don't say it's good for no reason. check it out if u haven't yet guys
@@joelevy3042 yeah those r good too...as long as folks got more options to look into its all good. Folks will pick what works best for them in the end & thats cool
Its a but expensive but the Victrix BFG is fun to use. It even has a modular fgc pad instead of reguakr face buttons. I like it for tekken and feels precise. Im usually a hitbox player for street fighter so im not sure how different it feels for it
Return the dual sense for PS5. They're terrible. I pressed back and it resulted in a 360 motion. I would press downback and it'd result in me jumping back. And my favorite? I'd press anything, and nothing would happen for 4-5 straight seconds because my controller disconnected.
The Series X controller d-pad is horrible for fighting games imo. It’s horrible for platformers and side-scrollers too. Almost any other d-pad would be more comfortable and consistent.
I also settled on the Series Controller, I agree about the RT and LT buttons though, it's a shame the Elite Controller has so many issues otherwise that would be next logical thing to try.
This ain't a video for the 8Bitdo M30 Xbox edition? *clicks off* *clicks back on to edit comment* your opinion is yours, and I'm happy for you, lord. Hold this like. But uh. Yeah. Y'all high level dudes ball hard as a bitch when it come to these controllers, and the 8bitdo M30 Xbox is only like 35 bucks. The Bluetooth one is 25-30 bucks. So uh. See about those, Lord. Until next time.
i really disgree. i get that youre used to pad but stick is the standard its what fighting games were designed around. you might be able to do some stuff quicker but I still don't think its worth it. id love to see you transition to stick as a ryu stick player
Moved on from the stick to the keyboard and never looked back lol. The input precision on lever less or keyboard is by far the best in my opinion than any pad or stick can ever achieve. However, it's more so what a person feels comfortable with and how their muscle memory works with the option they choose.
is the vid mirrored?
yes
why's the video flipped?

exactly what you said but haute42 t/r16
You need "wiggle" the d pad so you are mostly just using your forearm.

Almost nobody using Stick anymore for fighting games. Most players nowadays use Pad or Lever less (I'm a lever less user)
What are you saying? Most of the pros have moved away from the stick.
