No, because France does not have tactical nuclear weapons like Russia and is the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle enough?

I don't understand when Farage says "we still haven't broken away from the EU" - the evidence is all around us. We have LEFT the EU. We've lost the freedom for trading on goods, services, data, science, capital and we've lost our basic human right to travel for long periods, live, study, work and retire in Europe without matching the Third National visa requirements. This is all because we have LEFT. There are no benefits to compensate for the above. The cost of living has increased (we are paying for the extra tarrifs) and there is no vision of growth - even with the new (re-created) trade deals with Unions at the other side of the world. How long do we have to wait?

Brexit has had no affect at all on our supply chains, don't be silly, and to knock the G7, which includes Germany, France and Italy, and the EU as an associate, and we outperformed them all in 2022, is just typical, if you don't like the evidence, attack the witness.
Don't forget Mike and his buddies were predicting doom and gloom, 800,000 jobs lost, emergency budgets, everybody leaving the UK, empty shelves and queues at Dover, no planes flying. None of that happened and instead we had the fastest growing economy of the lot. Just a big stream of lies from the Remain campaign.
As for inflation we had comparable inflation to the EU countries, and that was nothing to do with Brexit either.

I have never heard about the EU wanting nukes. Farage made that up again. Unless he is looking very, very far into the future. When (not if) the European State is founded, I suppose France’s Nukes will be European nukes. Until then I’m happy the way it is and I’m proud of our Flag and our Anthem.

It's incredibly telling that Mike was given very little time to talk, limited by questions & context to prevent him from speaking freely, and interrupted frequently. And of course, it started with Farage & Davis, and then ended with them again! Seems very obvious that they were afraid to let Mike Galsworthy just speak freely for a bit. I wonder why...!

Kudos to Farage for allowing Mike to debate. And I say that as an ardent rejoiner. Mike's right, the Remain campaign was terrible. I'm not sure we will rejoin any time soon, I think it'll happen by stealth, rejoining single market etc, with closer and closer realignment on different levels over years.

MP’s had to vote on whether UK citizens could have a vote on EU membership. Parliament was split down the middle and yet our politicians voted 10 to 1 in favour of letting the people decide. So that means that 275 (approximately) Remain politicians voted in favour of the referendum. I can’t believe that commentators on Brexit fail to mention that.

From a House of Commons Library Briefing paper on the actual trade statistics: "Goods exports to the EU fell sharply when the transition period ended at the end of 2020. While they have recovered to some extent, exports to the EU remain below 2019 levels in real terms. In 2019, UK goods exports to the EU were around £170 billion. In 2002, they were £158 billion. A similar picture emerges from looking at monthly data. In 2019, average monthly exports of goods to the EU were £14.2 billion. Monthly exports have not exceeded this figure in any month between January 2021 and February 2023. Imports of goods from the EU also fell sharply after the end of the transition period. Unlike exports, goods imports from the EU have recovered to pre-pandemic levels. Imports from the EU were £274 billion in 2022, 1.4% higher than in 2019 in real terms..."
Because such trade figures are usually published "in current prices" - i.e. not adjusted for inflation - it is possible, at current high levels of inflation, to claim that the situation is improving. It isn't. We're just seeing inflation across the board...

One of the criticisms aimed at the EU by Brexiteers is that it isn't democratic. As long as the House of Lords exists, there is no basis for them to throw stones. Unelected "Lords" can still be members of the Cabinet, at the heart of Government e.g. Frostie and Cameron.

Well, there you have it. Notice two things. Galsworthy never denied what Davis said about our econemy or the countrys of Germany or France. Two he does not know that in 2022 the EU held a conference to work out the future of the EU, where it is heading and what its aim is They decided and approved this.
’Conference on the Future of Europe’ approves radical overhaul of the EU
End of unanimity and abolition of national vetoes
Launch of Joint Armed Forces of the Union
Transnational political parties - national parliaments will become more like local councils
European Parliament to have the right to propose legislation
More spending on climate change policies.
There are currently many areas where the EU still requires unanimous voting at the Council of Ministers (attended by member states). Under the new proposals, this will end altogether, meaning no member state will have the ability to protect its own interests in these areas.
A further measure which was approved was that of ‘Transnational Lists’. This means the EU Parliament elections will have candidates and campaigns on an EU-wide basis, establishing EU party groupings and ultimately trans-EU parties, like the Democrats and Republicans in the USA. National groupings will wither away and national politics is intended to become a backwater, with emasculated national parliaments effectively becoming local councils.
There were 325 proposals accepted at the meeting and these include the EU Parliament being able in future to propose legislation rather than have it passed down from the EU Commission and Council of Ministers.
MEPs representing the right-of-centre European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) and the Identity and Democracy (ID) groups declined to support the proposals and walked out. The ECR was particularly damning in its statement released after the walkout.
Statement by the European Conservatives and Reformists group
“The European project has been in crisis for at least the last two decades.”
“We reject the idea that the conclusions being reached represent an expression of the will of the Europeans and, to remain coherent with our values and principles rather than legitimising this undemocratic and artificial exercise, hereby withdraw from the Conference on the Future of Europe.”
    - ECR statement, 30 Apr 2022
The ECR listed many concerns and criticisms about this entire costly exercise.
Biased selection of citizens towards those in favour of federalism
Age-based discrimination of citizens in favour of those under 25
Biased selection of experts - mainly from organisations funded by the EU
No testing of the citizens’ recommendations with the wider public
    Imposed political agenda
Unequal footing given to different groups
The undemocratic character of the Conference
Limited time for reflection and debate
Extremely poor visibility of the Conference to the public
False consensus presented, no ‘minority reports’ possible
Lack of procedural clarity, organisational chaos
Lack of financial transparency - who funded this Conference?
Galsworthy should have known about this.
Perhaps he does know and declines to tell people
If thats the case I wonder why?
