    A man from my city gave me 2 beautiful ram's horns and asked me to make him a resolza with them, and the rest of the horns will be mine for free. it isn't perfect, also because i don't really like working on this kind of knives, the main reason is that here there are so many knifemakers that makes resolza that if i start to make them i will be just a drop in the ocean. i prefer to make knives with my original design

    Make whatever you make to be the best you've ever seen and you won't have to worry about your reputation. Don't avoid traditional forms when need or desire to use them arises. A form becomes traditional when the knife is made to work, not look pretty. Hence they are all little lessons in how functional knives cut and cut well.

    Gabrulo. Really nice work. I am a beginner knife maker from Perth Western Australia. You have given me inspiration. I can't afford all the flash expensive machinery you see in other knife making videos and you have just shown me what you can make with a bit of enginuity and what you have in the workshop. Keep it up. You have a new subscriber. I hope you don't mind if I copy your idea of the belt sander and the band saw.

      Hi! Thanks a lot for the sub amd support! I have to suggest you also to see the videos that inspired me to make my tools! Check "Made in Poland" channel and the video "drill hack 1 metal cutting bandsaw" and the channel "Jörgen Börg" with the video "IMPROVED! Best Extrem Beltsander you've seen" cause they gave me the inspiration to make those tools! Unfortunately i dismantled the bandsaw cause it was shaking to much, but the project is good, i just built it not so precisely, but as you will see from the made in Poland video it works!

    • @ignaziosulis9754
      @ignaziosulis9754 2 роки тому +1

      Non voglio sminuire il lavoro del principiante (Gabrulo_Coltello), anzi, lo vorrei invogliare a perfezionarsi, ma mi dispiace contraddirti, poiché questo modello è personalissimo di chi lo ha fatto e non può essere considerato una pattadese nella sua forma classica.
      Qui vedo un'impugnatura e una lama a (18:42) differenti dalla pattadese e un collarino a (15:25), qui descritto come anello, ricavato da un tubo in acciaio dolce e senza dargli la forma classica come nella pattadese, ma pare proprio ispirato al coltello spartano francese (Opinel). Per assurdo, ammesso anche, che questo è stato costruito a Pattada (SS), non è proprio questo il modello distintivo della pattadese.

      Grazie mille! La ruota è di legno mdf a cui ho incollato una striscia di cuoio per affilare, praticamente funziona come la cintura che usano i barbieri ma molto più veloce, invece l'olio è semplice olio per mobili, l'ho messo per nutrire un pò il corno

    • @cicalo66
      @cicalo66 6 років тому

      Fantastico! Grazie!. La ruota col cuoio la proverò di sicuro. Ho fatto decine di coltelli ma non riesco mai ad ottenere affilature al top. In effetti credo che sia inutile che un coltello tagli come un rasoio, ma fa scena con gli amici! :-).

    • @Gabrulo_knifemaking
      @Gabrulo_knifemaking  6 років тому +1

      Io ho imparato ad affilare da altri qui su UA-cam, ma bisogna cercare i video in inglese se no non se ne trovano. Cmq per affilare bene un coltello bisogna prima di tutto creare il filo con la levigatrice tenendo il filo verso il basso, come faccio nel video, fino a ottenere una specie di sfogliatura molto sottile, che poi si toglie con il cuoio, e ottieni una affilatura da rasoio

    • @Toontownluver1041
      @Toontownluver1041 6 років тому +1

      Suggestion, you can forge the different metals. The critical part is getting them up to welding temperature. My suggestion is use a canister method. A metal box filled with the materials to weld and sealed at the ends. Heat it to a high enough temp then use a press to force them together. Then either cut or grind off the exterior canister material. Makes absolutely beautiful patterns.

    Есть мнение. Не стоит так пружину фиксировать, столько заклепок ставить (она же должна пружинить), и... Ты, что все это эпоксидным клеем склеил? Это же, складной нож примитивный механизм (требует скорее смазки, чем клея). Извини.

      Hai ragione di essere disorientato ma solo dal titolo al video. Questa non è una pattadese!

    Amigo!
    Sera que vc poderia postar no correio uma copia do desenho desse belo canivete pra eu fazer um pra mim?
    Adorei esse modelo e também faço minhas facas artesanais por hóbie, mas com o desenho fica bem mais facil.
    Espero tambem poder te ajudar com alguma coisa depois.

    Un collare bello ma troppo spazio tra il legno e collare
