Truly fantastic work! In an age of "Tactical" blades, going back to our roots of working with natural materials on tools is more refreshing than ever.

Thank you for posting this video. I think this is a phenomenal rework of a classic pocket knife. Your skills and imagination leave me in awe.

Nice project. But you left out what I thought would be the hardest part... how did you get the blind slot for the blade to recess into... What tool?

    • @Uncle-Bob

As seen from minute 5:29, I used the blade of an iron hacksaw, the one you see on the table. I broke it so that it had a tip, I closed the horn in a vice and then .... it took a lot of patience. I am sorry, like a fool I forgot to film that moment.

I really like what you have done there but can't help wonder how much of the strong part of the antler you had to remove to make it fit the original ferrules? Perhaps it might snap at that joint in the future?

@@Uncle-Bob I'm probably wrong, there's maybe plenty of strength in the centre part of the antler too. Anyway, it looks like a beautiful knife and you did a brilliant job there!

How was the blade slot cut? There is no mention of this - the hardest step. At 5:25 the slot is being drawn in pencil and at 5:29 slot is magically there. Did I miss something?

Hai ragione.
