As the office millennial, I was tasked with recording a beautification cleanup day at work. I just received our GoPro today. Thanks for the quick and helpful information!
This is really what I was looking for. I am new to time lapse. The video is very detailed and explained in a simple way and yet full of all the tips and help I needed. Thank you! :-) You are a very good educator :-)
I loved your video, very well explained. Friend, please give me a tip: I want to film my little plant growing. It's slow, right? Well, My gopro offers 0.5s or 1s or 2s or 5 or 10s or 60s. For this type of video what do you suggest? thanks.
Does anyone know how to set up a GoPro to do like a 2 week time lapse of a seedling growing into a plant I'm doing it now with the 62nd interval but I feel like it's too frequent I'm looking more for like one photo every 10 minutes
Awesome video for newbies. Lots of useful info. been timelapsing for some time now but will start using GPH7 now for that purpose. Again great video and simple explanation.
Hi, can you tell me how can i do a timelapse (or a night timelapse) in 16:9 aspect? I don't find anything about it on my gopro settings. i've a Gopro 7 black. I open night timelapse but i find only a few settings....nothing about 16:9/4:3 as in video menu...so all my timelapse video on youtube are in 4:3 format with two horrible black bands.....thank you for your help.
Awesome Channel ! great explanation. I have Hero 8 and just starting so not much editing to start for me. What night lapse video setting would you suggest to shoot Northern lights?
Great video.. many thanks. I have a question if you don't mind...? I have just done my first timelapse video.. and I van watch it on the Hero 7... however when I try to export it, all I can see are the .jpeg files.. Is there no actual video to export, and therefore do I need video editing software? I've tried to import and use iMovie, but it's not very good with hundreds of individual .jpegs.. many thanks in advance..
If you don't want to create a timelapse with a video editing software, just choose video time lapse and the camera will create a video file and not single photos.
Hero7 Black - is there a way to tell what interval was used for a time lapse video? I have some that I like better than others, but can't see which interval I used.
Great video! I am wanting to create a time lapse video of images that I'll be taking each day for the construction of our new office. Would you recommend the 60 second interval for time lapse photo if I'm taking one photo per day?
Thank you very much for the video and details.. quick question I’m trying to make a 35 days time lapse video.. one photo per hour .. you think I can run a video like that with the hero 7?
Thanks for great video and description! I'm a new GoPro Hero 7 user too ... your video is realy helpful, perfect! Thanks !Regards from Austria, Christian!
Thanks for being such a very good instructor! I’m looking forward to using time lapse when visiting Alaska in August and possibly using time warp when traveling on the water with my kayak.
Do i need go worry about rain/condensation when making a timelapse at night? If i want to make an overnight timelapse and i plug it into an external powersource the charging port will be open.
@@MountMediaChannel may I ask how you handle that situation? Is there some special trick or attachment? Or should I just not film outside at night but rather from inside the house through a window or?
I just bought a hero 7 silver and they only have one timelapse setting and it is locked to a .5sec interval. Very frustrating since the older gopro’s have adjustable interval. They’ve deliberately removed the settings from the silver to force you to buy a black.
Awesome video bud! Was just thinking of doing a time lapse video tomorrow of my girlfriend and I painting her condo to test my new Go Pro Hero 7 Black.
Thanks a lot for this video, very clear and detailed. One question : which software (free) can I use to make a video if I choose for instance Night Laps Photo ? The GoPro Quick software for computer ?
Saluti
The battery drains to fast, a timelapse video with a photo per 30 seconds gives me maximum 10 seconds of video before the battery is dead which is way to short....
You didn’t describe the actual HOW to.!! Or very important detail of how large a dig MB card for a longer video. Make another video of the actual steps .. start to finish. Then you’ll get a thumbs up!!
I can't find any better tutorials than this video. Thank you so much for this

Thanks for being such a very good instructor! I’m looking forward to using time lapse when visiting Alaska in August and possibly using time warp when traveling on the water with my kayak.
Thank you for the explanation, What software to use to combine time lapse photo into time lapse video? thanks
Hi Tony, I personally use FCPX but pretty much every editing software should be capable of doing this.
Do i need go worry about rain/condensation when making a timelapse at night? If i want to make an overnight timelapse and i plug it into an external powersource the charging port will be open.
Yes the could be a problem. The connections should not get wet - this could damage the camera.
@@MountMediaChannel may I ask how you handle that situation? Is there some special trick or attachment? Or should I just not film outside at night but rather from inside the house through a window or?

Out of curiousity, is there an interval time you’d suggest for that considering I’m using a 64GB card (2 hours of 4K video)?

Thanks a lot for this video, very clear and detailed. One question : which software (free) can I use to make a video if I choose for instance Night Laps Photo ? The GoPro Quick software for computer ?
The best free software for video editing is Davinci Resolve. I'm not sure if MovieMaker would work as well
Nice video!
