    Where can I find a funnel with a valve in it like you use in the video to measure and refill the engine oil?

    One thing to note, when draining and nothing else runs out. Lean the bike over in the opposite direction, and back over a few times. Good amount of oil will come out

    First time I did the oil change on my 250l I put in the oil filter backwards and it clanged around for a couple seconds when i stareted it and I realized I did it wrong.

    The tusk oil filters for this bike do not seal properly. The seal gets pushed into the filter during installation because it is incorrectly sized.

    Man, what a pain. I wish Honda had just used a modern oil filter instead.
    Useful video. I've never encountered this type of filter before so I wanted to watch someone do it first.

    I just changed my oil and filter at 680km from new with Penrite semi synthetic oil of the specified weight and the bike feels amazing. The clutch is smoother, the foot gear lever is softer and the engine is quieter and sounds really happy.

    1,4 quads :/ ...wtf are those measurments. I hope there will be a time when even the USAmericans arriving in the 21st century and using the metric system... Guys, you are having hopefully all your TEN fingers, so use the METRIC system, its based on 10.
    hf with your LRPs ..riding mine since 2012

      Apparently you ran out of fingers, dude, cuz it takes 1.6 QUARTS (not quads and not 1.4). Hint: we use mils and cc's and metrics, too...tool.

    It looks like you can change the oil without removing the shrouds. It even says oil underneath.Why do you take the coverings off?

    • @hyperguy1911
      @hyperguy1911 Рік тому

      Presumably to be able to change the oil filter as its covered by the plastics

    What best oil viscosity to use in CRF250 Rally? Some say 10W30, other 10W40 or 10W50. And how many mililiter for normal oil change?Thank you in advance

    • @meade4573
      @meade4573 4 роки тому

      Wayne Sowerby Who cares? The people who want to protect their investment. You don’t just put whatever oil you have in it, you follow what the people who made the bike say.

      @@meade4573 (inhale) DUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! that was his sarcastic point. You two are probably in full agreement. Why would anyone, on a new and factory specced motor, second guess the designers on viscosity, except for extreme operating condition demands, or changing viscosity once your bike gets old and shitty in its tolerances. But really, dude...DUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

    I lost one of the four bolts that covers the filter housing. Where can I get a replacement. Thanks.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  5 років тому +3

      Your best bet would be to go to the OEM parts finder and locate that bolt. After you click on the link below just enter in the year and model of your bike. The bolt you're looking for should be in the "Right Crankcase Cover" schematic and I believe the part # you need is 90012-KYJ-900.
      OEM Parts Finder: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-parts/Honda
      Hope that helps!

    Ahh, metric oil volume please!?? Honda is a fricken Japanese brand... like the entire rest of the world, they use METRIC, why not specify the oil capacity in metric as well in this vid? Sometimes I wonder if Amerika should be thought of as a 3rd world country :|

    In your opinion is the Honda really worth all the upgrades or you’re better off just getting the base model and upgrading it with what you want? I’m 5 foot 10 I’ll do probably 60 Road 40 dirt

      It a bout the preference.. Either way is good I think..but it's not bad to build by stock one, little by little.. to get more attachment to your bike,and the last help you to ride better..

      You're gonna want to upgrade the rally too.

    • @vtownjester
      @vtownjester 3 роки тому

      You might also want to consider the new 300L, there's a increase of +/- 3 BHP and they shed +/- 8 pounds of the overall weight. May not seem much, but on a small bike, it can really make a big difference. On my 250L Rally, those are exactly the upgrades I wanted to do by installing an EJK and replacing the exhaust line with a FMF system. The whole upgrade would've cost about $750 to give you an idea.
