Hold down the down arrow when using the throttle for 2 seconds and it will enter cruise control mode on many bikes and will remain at that speed until you use either brake.

P11 sets how quickly or delayed the onset of pedal-assist . PAS doesn't work until the PAS sensor notices you are pedaling, may take 1 crank revolution, or 8 magnets to pass the sensor. With P11=1 then PAS onset is almost immediate after 1 crank revolution. P11=5, then ~4 second delay with pedaling, P11=12 then ~ 7 seconds delay, P11=24 then ~ 11 seconds delay with pedaling until PAS onset. Don't know why anyone would want delay before PAS onset. I set P11=1.
Thank you! For some reason this info is just missing on the online manual. Any idea about P15? I think it's the low voltage threshold but I can't adjust mine, though I'd like to. Maybe you're not supposed to
Hi! Thanks for this useful info. Btw, what's the difference of P11 & P12? So far, what I understood is P11 for how delay or immediate PAS mode will work. Therefor, what is the sensitivity that is mentioned in P12? Will it limit the speed of PAS mode? TIA!🙂

Nice info. QQ, is it possible to use the SAMEBIKE LO26 as normal, without the battery? And or if the battery totally dies, and no power going to the LCD/Control unit? i.e. you don't get a chance to put it in normal pedal mode...
Dan: Nice video. I have the S830 bundled with an Ebikeling 36V 500W 26" rear geared weatherproof kit. I noticed you setup the PAS steps mode to 009. That mode appears available, but is not documented in the Ebikeling build guide. In theory, that setup allows you to choose PAS=0 (no assist) or gradually increasing assist by choosing PAS=1 up to PAS=9. Have you noticed that you get 9 distinct levels of assist? The simple way to experimentally determine it, is just use full-throttle-only in PAS=1 & note your speed (it's probably pretty slow). Then continuing full throttle, bump to PAS=2 & note the speed increase. Repeat bumps to PAS=3 through PAS=9. Did you note a unique new speed with each incremental step in PAS? Or did you notice only 5 unique speeds instead of 9? I'm interested in your observations, thanks.
@@danielgrimes4152 It's easy to do indoors. Just prop the bike up so the rear wheel is off the ground. Set PAS=1 then full throttle & note the speed on the LCD; bump to PAS=2 & note the LCD speed. The S830 is not providing the same behavior I expected, gradually increasing assist for PAS=2 through PAS=9. Sorry about your weather.

I set P14 to 15a from 12a. The current shows 27a on the display under acceleration. I don't seem to understand what P14 actually limits. Can you explain?
You must be using a different display than the S830, possibly the S900? P14 is generally used to set the current of your controller. They are usually set at 12 amps from the factory. Check the controller you have to make sure it can support higher amps. If so, turning up the amps can increase performance. Here is a link to the programming specs of the S900 display: ebikeling.com/blogs/news/how-to-set-sw900-lcd-display-parameters Hope this helps you out!
Dan Grimes I definitely have a S830. It’s from a newer 2019 waterproof unit if that makes a difference. The motor controller is 30a 48v unit. My brushless hub motor is 1200w. I’m using two 20ah 6s lipo in series. Yes, P14 was set to 12a default but I turned it up to 15a. I would like to know if this display is 52v friendly as I will be using a 14s panasonic pack from a prior ebike build. (I have the 1200 w kit that comes with the s830 display but haven't installed anything yet)
Dennis, I am running a 52v 20ah triangle battery with the S830 and have no issues at all. The only thing is that 52v is not an option to select in the settings because it only goes up to 48v. This may throw off your battery percentage reading, so I recommend paying attention to your volts remaining rather than the battery meter.
@@danielgrimes4152 Thanks! I have had that issue with all but one controller I have used. I don't run them much below 48v, not sure what the technical 10 or 20 percent voltage actually is as I possess two 52 volt li ion charts that claim different bottom charge numbers, but I have never let one drain below 47.5 and don't ever intend to. I worry about the indicator on this build however because it is intended for a novice and not myself. I may add one of those in-line amp hour capacity meters Eric and the guys at Luna Cycle sell, have yet to try one but understand they are quite accurate.
Hi Daniel, my Samebike LO26 500w which is 3months old from new, keeps cutting out even a very short cycle, I have been in touch with supplier they are dragging their heels on a remedy to the problem, I wonder do you have an idea as to why this is happening, A friend said it could be the charger not doing it's job, that said, does the green light stay on permanently when charging or is it red when charging, my green light is on all the time. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Hej thank you for this nice video, I have samebike lo26 500 w I have problem with the throttle is nor working and the bike is new is like If I have to activate From the settings But I don't know how Please help Thank you
I had to change my battery connection to my controller as they didnt match. Used aknderson as you dont need to solder just crimp. My big question is how do you shorten the wires to motor and to the controller fRom the Computer. Do you just have to fold , tuck and tape or can you cut and use connectors.
Do you know how to unlock when the manufacturer has made certain settings locked? P08 is locked to 32 km/h, and when you press to increase, nothing happens.
Dan, Thank you for explaining what the instructions do not, very much appreciated! My quick question... I’m sure I missed it, but how do you set the clock? Thanks again
Hugh, thanks for the kind words! You didn't miss anything, I still haven't figured out how to set the clock on mine either! I'll be contacting the manufacturer next week to see if they can enlighten us!

I've just replaced a stolen Samebike lo26 500W with the same model and am noticing some real differences in performance from the throttle. Thinking this had to be something that I could sort out by changing one or more of the settings on the s830 lcd, I entered the menu, only to find that I could only change settings P01, P02, P08 AND P16. Is there something I can do to sort this out or is it a faulty unit?
I have a question. On my bike with hydraulic brakes, when I pull either lever there is a little icon that displays on the right of the 0 under the 100% level. It is an exclamation mark in a circle or possibly brackets (cannot remember.) Does anyone know what this is?
I Ve got trouble, after changing controller for the same type of(old was screwed up), my Odo numbers starts like 001...I don't have pas 0 and clock shows me speed like 99,9, but rides normally and with the same speed on all drives
Do you know the voltage cutoffs? I'm running the same kit, with a 13s 54.6v full battery. I'm wondering what I should set the voltage to? Also curious to know what settings cut off at which voltages
Very helpful! Thank you Dan. I kindly ask you to answer a couple of questions: Today I got an error E07 on my S830 (samebike LO26) while riding the bike uphill. I switched the panel off, waited for a while, and switched it on again, and the error had dissapeared. Do you know where to find a list of error codes of S830 panel? When I ride for example 15 km the trip value(TRIP) shows 15 km but the total mileage(ODO) only adds 1.5 km. So I have ridden 180 km in total since I got the bike two weeks ago but my ODO value shows 18.0 Km. Any idea obout what I can do on the panel? Thanks in advance.
Error code 10 indicates that hall sensor connector is not connected properly. Check wires in the motor connector carefully, push the wires in all the way to make sure they are connected properly. And Error code 07 does not always indicate a hub motor problem. Replacing the controller may solve the issue. You can try a different controller if you have one or ask for a replacement from the supplier.
Going out now to test my settings, which I now no were not properly set. I noticed your pas, when not running is at shows a 0, mine is 1. I’m not sure why or what I’m missing. Also, in the directions next to P10, is a notation that electric drive does not work in zero start. I have only been running this for a few days, and I am not sure that I could feel any pedal A. Not sure if that is still relevant or what they mean. Thx
Hugh, mine shows zero because unadjusted the levels of PA to 9. I have tried playing with the zero start and non zero start and both seem to act the same to me. I'm sure there is a difference, but at this point, I haven't experienced it.
P09 refers to how the throttle control behaves. P09=0 then throttle responds immediately, even when at a full stop. P09=1 then throttle response is delayed. I set P09=0 because when I want throttle help, I want it immediate. Note that to enable throttle, P10 must be set to either 1 or 2.
Hi Dan! You seems like a experter of this LCD. Can you help me? I bought a Samebike Lo26, and after some kilometres, I got on the lcd a E10 error, I have no Idee what it means. How can I solve the problem? Should I buy a new controller? Or only a new lcd?
From the LCD Display Error Codes ... "10 Communication Receiving problem (check hall sensor wires. Make sure they have positive contact. Push all the hall sensor wires/pins harder to seat them and check again.)" Hope that helps.
p14 sets the current limit (up to 20A). I suspect p15 sets the voltage point at which the system cuts off the battery, but I haven't been able to find any confirmation of this. Also, I can't change my p15, what about you?
Hi. I have a 20 inch fat tire 750w motor and I put the same settings and the meter says 30mph but the bike is actually going 19 or 20mph, that's me using the tire size setting p06 -24. If I compare it to my phone GPS it says 20 mph but the bike says 30. Just for test I put the wheel size to 10 inches in the p06 settings and it did gave me an accurate reading.... there's no way this bike will go close to 30mph as advertised.

I have a 52 v 20 amp . Works fine
How would you reset all parameters?
i have the same question too !! help please
I did exactly what you showed and I cannot get past po2 it will not go any further is he damaged or what because I am having problems with the display
Hej thank you for this nice video,
I have samebike lo26 500 w
I have problem with the throttle is nor working and the bike is new is like If I have to activate
From the settings
But I don't know how
Please help
Thank you
Try adjusting your P10 setting to #2. If this doesn't help, try contacting the manufacturer for advice my friend.
Got the same problem, have you found the solution?
@@ggalaza when you get on your bike and turn it on set your PAS level to 0 and then try the throttle .. along with P10 on #2
I had to change my battery connection to my controller as they didnt match. Used aknderson as you dont need to solder just crimp. My big question is how do you shorten the wires to motor and to the controller fRom the
Computer. Do you just have to fold , tuck and tape or can you cut and use connectors.
Do you know how to unlock when the manufacturer has made certain settings locked? P08 is locked to 32 km/h, and when you press to increase, nothing happens.
Thank you so much for explaining this!
Just heard back from the manufacturer, the S830 has no option to set the clock lol. I guess it's just there to tease us!
@@danielgrimes4152 Hey Dan, thanks for clarifying the settings on the S830 and doing what the manufacture could not do. I believe the "clock" is actually a timer. Thanks again. Dan in Jacksonville.
@@danielgrimes4152 hi Dan, what email address/other means did you use to contact the manufacturer? I'd like to ask a question about P15, which I think is the cutoff voltage, but I can't change it. Thank you
Yes explain that
Do this computer has cruise control like the lectric xp 2.0?
That Video helped me a lot thanks a lot I had trouble with the pedal assist on my bike
I kindly ask you to answer a couple of questions:
Today I got an error E07 on my S830 (samebike LO26) while riding the bike uphill.
Also, make sure your tire size is set appropriately in the display. This can throw off ODO readings as well as remaining battery life.
I have the same problem, did you manage to fix the issue??
How do we access P14 and P15 as they are for max current output and voltage cutoff and it is important for me to know how to change those
Hey I really need help i can’t change any settings it seems like there is some kind of lock to all the settings I can’t change it any advice ?
does this display have way to set regenerative braking?
Note that to enable throttle, P10 must be set to either 1 or 2.
hello i have SAMEBIKE LO26 the problem it dont want to turn on it turn on only with the charger do you have any experience with it
I'm doing exactly what you're showing me how to do and I've tried this with other tutorials it will not go past two on mine it keeps going back to one
Hi Dan! You seems like a experter of this LCD. Can you help me? I bought a Samebike Lo26, and after some kilometres, I got on the lcd a E10 error, I have no Idee what it means. How can I solve the problem? Should I buy a new controller? Or only a new lcd?
Many thanks! You are my last hope!
From the LCD Display Error Codes ...
"10 Communication Receiving problem (check hall sensor wires. Make sure they have positive contact. Push all the hall sensor wires/pins harder to seat them and check again.)"
Hope that helps.
I have a SAMEBIKE LO26 and it has P14 and P15 what do they do?
p14 sets the current limit (up to 20A). I suspect p15 sets the voltage point at which the system cuts off the battery, but I haven't been able to find any confirmation of this. Also, I can't change my p15, what about you?
My S830 skips from P14 to P16, so I can't set or view the P15 value. Good luck.
I can get into the settings but cannot make any changes. Is it factory locked?
I wish there was a way to choose custom milage cause I got a new display but I wanted to keep my mileage of 1747.1
Hi Dan, i was messing with the setting and the battery went from 100% down to 5% and now the wheel doesn’t power up. I will have a go at these settings as you explained but do you know why battery percentage changed? is that another feature for something?
Sorted it now. After playing with settings again.
Hi thank you for the instruction video , i have a question. My speedo is say I'm travelling way faster than i am os there something wrong i have done. I have it set to mph as I'm in the uk. Thanks
You might have the wheel size incorrect.
I use 28 for my 700C x 35 tire. I actuall measured the diameter with a tape.
My trike has too much power and speed. Can I reduce the Amps from 12 to something less without harming my motor or system?
Hi I also have p 14 and 15
It's a new 2020 bike
Any ideas what they do aswell as cant set clock

P14 is current limit 1-20. Factory set usually at 12. I turned mine as test to 19 and saw no improvement and set back at 12. P15 is not used according to what I found.
What does p07 do. I see recomends for47

Hi. My P11 settings were set at 03. I have changed them to 23 like you have. Will this affect my bikes performance in anyway (I mean damage it). I have samebike Lo26 350w
Interesting question as I would like to know too?
P11 is the sensitivity of the PAS sensor, so shouldn't be a problem.
Mine doesnt go pass 2 for some reason any fix to this?

Hi Dan
How do you set the clock time pls

Anybody got an idea why i can't change any settings? I want to change P08 to get a bigger top speed but it flashes and when i use the arrows it doesn't increment at all.. the only settiny i can change is on P02 and it's the km/h mph setting.
Any help ?? It seems locked
Does anyone know if it can be set up to provide full throttle at any PAS level, instead of the throttle being dependent upon the set PAS level?
For my p8 it maxes out at 10 is that normal?
E 09 is controller error codes, has anyone had this error codes. And how did you resolve it.
Thanks Mike
E09, es error de motor , revisa tus cables de motor.
He didn't explain P11, for info its PAS Sensitivity, 1-24, Higher = more sensitive, Sets how sensitive PAS is to movement of the pedals.
Can any body help I'm looking for a list of error codes. I was riding up a step hill and the bike stopped with an error codes E 09.?

If I turn the unit off and on while riding it worked for few seconds
Pls help
Tony, I must inform you that I am NOT an expert with the S830. Folks have been asking me all sorts of questions and I appreciate that, but I do not have Ll of the answers. I usually contact the manufacturer who sold me the bike/kit and ask them. I wish I knew how to fix the problem you are having. But sadly I do not. For example, my S830 just quit telling me how fast I am actually traveling now and I have absolutely no idea how yo fix that! LOL

Similar problem. Speed and trip only function when PAS is on. Any answers ?
Good video but p06 is set at the circumference of the tire not the wheel..for example a 20x4 fat tire would be 24 not 20 it's wheel plus tire if you want to be accurate..
my lcd just switched off while riding, and never starts again, who knows what can be the cause(battery was 50% charged)
My S 830 display shows Error E 10. The motor doesnt work. I have checked all the connections and cables and they seem to be OK. If have changed the Controller as well. The error still satys. Any one can give me a clue? May I suppose that the motor is damaged?
But how do you connect it to your ebike?

How do I fix E10 (10= Signal Recieving Error ) ?
That's a failure in your Hall Sensor, you would likely have to either have a professional open up your motor hub and do the repair..
@@TheBrainSquared Thanks. It has gone away by now... lets cross fingers
Can you please explain P11 better?
And P12 please??
P11 is pedal assist sensitivity. 1-24. The lower the number the more sensitive and less turns it takes to kick in. P12 is start strength for pedal assist. 1-5. 5 is the highest
How do i factory reset?
