All the songs on his nurture album have really good lyrics.
Maybe you can listen 'Look at the sky' or 'trying to feel alive' which also made by porter,they have a good lyrics too

I realized that after the fact lol.
Love seeing people react to Porter! Based on interviews I’ve seen with him and his previous work, I wouldn’t read the whole song to be talking about Porter the person, as he never flaunts wealth or stuff like that, though at some points throughout the song it seems like Porter the person inserts something into what Porter the character is saying. To me, this song reads more as a satire on influencer culture as a whole, asking us to reflect on why we put people on a pedestal who don’t belong there. Like you said, they’re human just like us. Oh wait, never mind, he “has a face tattoo he’s not a regular man.” XD
Nice interpretation of the lyrics! As a fan, I think this song talks more about the relationship of a fan with him. Inside the fandom there's this thing where a lot of people say that Porter Robinson's music has saved their lives. This for him puts him in tremendous pressure, because what if he releases something that flops or doesn't appeal to it's fans? So basically this song is him telling his fans "Hey, I'm just a human being you can do this by yourself!". Lines such as "I'm in the mirror baby let it all out" is him basically admitting that he's the same with his favourite artists.

"musician" by him is my favorite song. I make music as well and I've never heard a song that expresses the highs and the lows and the obsession and the struggle of making art as well as that one does
Love what you're saying about the lyrics against the music, I think that's what I love most about it. It's so poppy and fun and well produced, but without losing any heartfeltness which I think is super rare.
Yo! I find it super dope that you are reacting to Porter! His lyrics are always soo much deeper than the music that surrounds them. He is very unique in this way. You should really listen to his Nurture album, its a beautiful masterpiece.

You please have to listen to some tracks off of nurture! The entire album is quite literally a masterpiece as far as a collective body of music. Porter goes through what his fans call "a new era of porter". His earlier songs back on the worlds album are a much more experimental edm style meanwhile nurture is more focused on being experimental with sound design and still making beautiful pieces of music. As a musician yourself I think you'll enjoy a lot of the songs from that album.

I've been a fan of him since 2019 and let's just say he went from just generic early 2000s EDM music to ambience electronic emotional music, to something more organic with a bit of electronic side on it, to now pop music, emo rock-ish with electronics music.
