I love navy!!! I just posted on my Instagram about this! A client got 25,000 last night. Clean credit makes all the difference with them also the INCOME. The more money flowing into the account the better most people get approved based on the number of their bank statements. My biggest takeaways from me having a navy and my clients getting approvals for limits is
I) between a 600 or HIGHER is ideal ( got a homegirl with an 820 score only gave her 3k (because she wasn't using it the main account and only had statements around 3k bank statements)
2) platinum visa IS THE EASIEST card to get, cash rewards (the green card), and Amex are the second tier. Damn flagship is the hardest !!!

I have the Amex already. next year when my inquiries drop off I’m going for the flagship.
You can apply for a new card every 90 days you don’t necessarily have to wait to apply
Also people have talked about a possible “Product Transfer” meaning you can transfer to one of their other credit cards if you have a current NFCU credit card with a limit over $5000

Ok time payment it’s 30% of your credit score. If you get a late payment it will drop you drastically and they are hardddd to remove.
With utilizing once you pay the balance below 30% your scores will jump back up

Can you do a video on when to apply for your third credit card with Navy Federal? I got my first car with Navy Federal. They gave me $500. After 91 days, I asked for a credit limit increase and gotten a second card. The second card was for $20k and my credit increase went up to $1500 on the first one. Hi Rose! Question, can I apply for a credit line increase and a new credit card at the same time? I just got a Platinum with an $11,000 limit in July. That was good but no rewards except for the 0 interest for 12 months. I want to shoot for the Flagship. I had prequalified for all the CCs and in hindsight, I should have just gone for the Flagship then. Thanks for this very informative video!

Not until you pay down your utilization to at least 30% you won’t be extended anymore credit if you already owe them

Technically Some people have no rent if they own their home , or live with family , even in school
I found out the hard way that the Navy Federal Amex Card is not an actual Amex card. It just uses the American Express payment network like Visa, Discover, MasterCard, etc. It is still underwritten by Navy Federal and does not establish a relationship with American Express.

This sounds like your setting people up to fail by not being truthful on the application and they might get approved for a large amount they can’t pay back or will struggle to pay back

Hi Rose! We were pre approved for all the credit cards in the pre-approval window however our credit is in the high 500s. We do have a lot of money in our Navy Federal accounts. If we apply do you think we would end up getting denied because of our credit? Should we just go with the secured to be safe?
If you have been with them for a while you may be able to get approved for a small limit to start. I would go for it and see if you are denied they will send a letter on the mail saying why

I had an account with them about six years now and my first credit card was 415k and I messed that up by using it up in that year and I'm paying it off. Last year was the renewal for a card and they sent me a letter saying they were not because of that payment history but I'm still paying on the card every month even though it's close and I recently just got a 46k car loan with them. So I'm wondering when may be a good time to apply for a new credit card or should I just go the secured card because of that old card that I'm still paying on it I'm not under 30% yet?
