we (JSU) had the uniform style first ! JSU first had pullovers in the Dowell Taylor era…which started in 1984. Same with the Cross-Banner style across our chests in the Harold Haughton era, which started in 1971.

Alcorn definitely swagger jacking!!!! Alcorn came about with Jackson State swag around the time between 2008-2014 and have jacking ever since. Check out T.O.P. and War and Thunder around 2006-08 and you will see the difference. I will say they have started to come into their own though. A lot of a schools are adopting the flash, chop, and groove style War and Thunder has and putting their own twist to it.
Facts.. they didn't start stealing to Dr Murray came and the all star bands came about though.. around 2012 actually

Ask Alcorn where's the pitch tuned bass drums and the bell player from the early 90s ....
Alcorn still has them. Recruiting bell players are not the same as it was back then so Alcorn had to make adjustments

That's fair. In all honesty I was hoping for them to drop them. Bells was pretty common in the mid 90s but towards the end not so much.

At the beginning. WT was doing short callouts back to back. WT all day tho.
My take and please correct me if I'm wrong. It seems like when a drumline keeps playing cadence after cadence without waiting it may be an insult to the other line. Almost as if to say, "We don't respect you enough to wait. If you don't hurry up we're going to keep playing."

I’m from Mississippi Alcorn and Jsu very alike even they dancers and drum majors Alcorn was the first with the dancers In the 70s
Then uniforms are similar because Alcorn copied the style from JSU recently in the years. They had there own then realized it wasn’t appealing. So they even took cadences and tried to add they own to it like JSU fans and alums wouldn’t notice.
