no problem c: I actually found out after I wrote this comment that blender's old internal renderer will have this "render in the viewport" feature in the next version!
i came to see a tutorial on how to make an octopus so i could put it on a cage when it it turn out that the idea was already made. :( but still the this was awesome. liked and Favorited.
it's really awsome beautiful art work. I always have a question, there are a lot of tuts that explain this kind a modeling and rendering a production level static image. Which step does this image belong to? Is all these efforts put into making such a beautiful art work just to render the final static image or it can be used to render show reel animation or maybe it can be sent to an animator to make the octopus move and then put back to the scene and render out the animation with the same settings to the static image?
it's the one that comes with modo. Although, you can achieve that same effect with V-ray and blender's new rendering engine Cycles. Unfortunately, cycles is still under development, and does not have all of the features other rendering engines have (such as volumetric objects and lights)
Hi. I'm making games using Unity 3D. I want to make my modellings by myself. It looks easy to learn but take too long. I wonder how long would it take to make the model in the video ? And what would yo suggest ?
Overwhelming good work my friend, Keep it up :D, i've been looking into getting into the same type of work with Zbrush, just have to take the leap and make the investment. Wish you well with your future endeavors
So much work...

hey guys ... which software did you use for the texture?
What software you used? Interesting!
Modo,Zbrush,Photoshop
I can only dream of becoming as good as this guy who has the same name as me XD
There are not evil octopi.
Just bad cephalopods.
- TemperamentalOctopod (Octo )
Modo / modeling and rendering
Zbrush / sculpt
PhotoShop / compositing and post production
There is no shadow of Maya!
how much time did it took you to do that ?
Do you use reference?
How strong my computer needs to be to handle this type of program?
"Hi, welcome to my tutorial 'How to do Evil Octopus in CGI 3D Modeling HD'..." jajaja
Awesome
What the software they used?
Looks like its Modo 601.
How long did it take to create this 3-d model and animate it?
3:22 slowed down 3 times

Maya and Z Brush :)
Modo and zbrush?! I guess that are the programs he used
ONEKonE and Octane for Rendering
Your PC spec please...
Slow this video down to 0.25x speed to see how much they speed it up.

search for modo and zbrush online. But I like mudbox better
ok thanks ;)
looks like Maxwell
What is the application he used to model the cage ?
the foundry MODO
retrieving jaw from floor.
why do you even try to answer when you don't know anything about 3D softwares? it's the MODO 701 path tracing engine, and it's fully CPU...
but what's the song!?
It's "Complication with Optimistic Outcome" by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. :)
I too love the song!
what software is it?
Modo,Zbrush,Photoshop
which software is this
modo
MODO zbrush and photoshop!
