What level did your players finish at? Sorry if I missed it in the video. It's been fun following along I have been planning to run this using Shadowdark for our group. I've ran them through a one shot to see how they would like Shadowdark. I'm a fan of the epilogue at the end of a campaign that is something my group has been doing.
We finished up at lvl 6, I think. I'm glad to hear that it's been fun! I highly encourage people to run it through Shadowdark - it was amazing. :)

I've been a player in CoS for 5e for at least a year and a half now. I know the grass is greener on the other side, but I'm more convinced than ever that I need to run CoS more like you have when I get around to it.
I think even if we had a DM who could "move the camera" better than our current one, I think that 15 sessions is a good amount to play in the setting of Barovia. It's enough to take in the good stuff, and the grimdark doesn't overstay its welcome. I could rant a lot but I won't. I'd always be happy to see more from you and your SD adventures!
Well, we played more than 15 sessions - a few of these episodes were bundles of 2-3 sessions. But yeah, we started in September and played weekly with some pretty big gaps in that time. All in all...I'd say we played maybe 20-25 sessions though some were just a couple hours.
I do agree that the vibe can definitely overstay its welcome. All of us were ready to be done with Barovia by the end. :D
This has been such an amazing series to follow (I've commented on so many of these vids). Glad to hear it went well and had such an awesome ending. Truly well done and hope to hear more Shadowdark, and hopefully more Ravenloft, in the future.

What a journey.
I mean you got the essence of shadowdark and made a great campaign.
The cursed knight saved his strengh for the last fight 😁 and the thief at the end got his incredible hit (Luvashs house didnt work out for him).
I hope you make another video for session: epiloge with players perspective, I mean do I miss the fight with Rahadin is he still alive? 😉What about the members of the cult?
After the early sessions I thought it is amazing to think about this aftermath.

haha yeah, that's true! The thief had been feeling a bit left out, especially as most of his attacks were non-magical. To get the final hit of the campaign in such an epic way was realllly satisfying to him.
Rahadin definitely made it out alive! The cult was mostly destroyed by the attack on Vallaki and the crumbling of the castle. Rahadin's plans for immortality may have been thwarted on this approach...but he still wants it.
