For real, I didn't think much of her as a kid but as an adult I realized how bursting with personality she is and how pretty, and she and Tarzan became one of my favorite Disney couples.
What stands out about Jane to me is that Disney wasn’t afraid to make her look and sound “unattractive” at times. She reacts how many people would react at being chased by wild animals in the jungle, screaming and running madly. Other female heroines are portrayed as helpless and delicate when they’re in danger (look at Belle getting attacked by wolves for example), so it’s refreshing to see a woman who doesn’t need to be “graceful” to be portrayed as beautiful in this movie.
Jane has to be the most versatile Disney female lead outside of Mulan. Girl literally goes from a posh hoop dress to a jungle bikini and looks gorgeous all the way. Add onto that the fact that she's witty, intelligent, artistic etc and it's baffling she doesn't get more love.
When it comes to Disney romance, Tarzan might be my favorite. I'm not insulting my parents but my ma was a city girl and my pa was a bumpkin. I don't wanna say too much about them but I just really love Tarzan, even the villain was lovable
They should do a live action remake to this film properly I can totally see Jason Momoa as Tarzan and Daisy Ridley as Jane.@@edibleandsentientautomobil5396
Jane just has this husky little voice, it's adorable along with her slightly eccentric personality. The perfect type of woman to fall in love with a wild man😆
It was crazy and it became Romantic Wow.... I haven't watched this for a long time. I can't believed I understood this when I was a kid, now...I'm having a hard time understanding Jane voice 🤣 It so crazy now that it made me laugh lol
the heartbeat scene is the first time i realized there's another level of attraction that i can feel rather than just simply crushing on daphne from scooby doo
Jane is also pretty badass. Took down one of Clayton's henchmen, helped free Kala when she was captured and even tried fighting Clayton so he had to knock her out cold.
None of the princesses needed a man though but I definitely love a lot of the Disney princess and good in their own ways. My personal favorite is Ariel and Cinderella.
Jane is almost doing relable things like me the way she looks at tarzan is like the way i look on fictional characters and her tripping around like falling down, screaming, having anger issues idk why she became my favorite character in disney i dont conclude her being a disney princess since she's just a regular woman who wonders around and discover things man i love her lol
Jane is so funny. Minnie Driver’s vocal performance is perfect, especially when she’s at her most energetic. Just look at the scene where Jane describes her encounter with Tarzan to her dad and Clayton.
So we start with a girl being afraid that a giga chad ape man is going to do things to her, to her thirsting after said ape man before he even knows how to speak, leading to her trying to "civilize" him, and in turn becoming more "wild" herself... I swear I just watched a JP video on the psychology of what women and men want sexually, and this movie just oozse the same message.
