    This is my first time being suspended from a job and I work with people who have mental disabilities and someone is claiming I abused them when I give the utmost care to the clients. But the supervisors cannot say who or what it was but I will only get paid 5 days and after that just have to wait to hear back but never in my life 😞

    What disciplinary can your boss do to you? How long can they suspend you for ?Do you still get paid? Do they have to take into account melt downs due to mental problems? For example I have autism anxiety and depression and very high sensory overload issues.

    I was suspended 11/24/2018. I was confused what is happening. Manager told me that they cannot go into details about it as they are investigating. They had to escort me off the premises, and pointed me out the exit door of my preference, as it was a "company procedure". They clocked me out on my behalf. Almost a week later, HR told me that I was suspended for posting a retaliatory story against my peers for their "arrogant behavior". I told them my side of the story. Even though I never intended to resign from my job, HR terminated me on 12/4/2018 as my story had strong language. Since then, said employer refused to speak with any of my potential employers when performing "reference checks".

    I was suspended 9/9/22 had an issue with my boss 9/8/22 but he didn't say anything when I was clocking out. I was still scheduled to work the next day but I called in because what happened on 9/8/22 then he text me didn't call at 1:03 pm stated im suspended until further notice nothing else or he didn't even explain why or how long im suspended.

      Sorry to hear what has happened. Your employer should give you information about your suspension including the reasons they have decided to suspend you and how long it is likely to last. I recommend you write to them by email to request information and a date for your return to work.

    Hi, I've just been suspended today on full pay, possibly until the end of day this Friday when they said they would hopefully provide an outcome. The job is a remote call centre type of role (outsourcing company) and I've been accused of call avoidance. No previous written warning was given to me, but today I got pulled into an HR meeting with no notice. I do feel slightly anxious about this now and don't know what to do frankly. Could you help in anyway. Thanks a lot.

      Hi I am sorry to hear what has happened. Based on what you have said about the allegations this does not seem like justification for suspension and any suspension should be for a short period only.
      If you are not back at work, or have not yet been notified of the next steps, I recommend that you write to your employer urging them to deal with it asap and putting them on notice of the stress it is causing,

    Hi i hsve judt been suspended with pay. I have a meeting on Thursday 25th May for disaplinary action. What can I do?

      Hi I am sorry to hear this. Your employer should provide you with the full details of the allegation against you and any evidence that they have obtained. This should be give to you in advance of the meeting so you can prepare. If they have not provided this then I strongly recommend that you request the information and ask your employer to postpone the meeting so that you can receive the information and prepare. If you have the information then it is important that you prepare your defence and obtain any evidence in support of your defence.

      Agency workers have a variety of rights. It will depend on how long you have worked on a particular contract and who has suspended you.

    Does a suspension hinder career advancement?

      Hi there is no reason why a suspension on it's own should hinder you in future as it is unlikely a future employer would know about it. It would be unusual for your employer to refer to suspension in a reference.
      If you are suspended for a long time and your job requires ongoing work and experience to continue then it could have an impact and would be worth getting some specific advice.

    Amazon just suspended me for a safety violation . I jokingly said it was deliberate to get off order picker. I was totally joking. I admitted to saying. I reiterated over and over I was joking. Investigation has been ongoing for 4 days

      Sounds like common sense has been lost here! Ensure you document all your conversations and keep pressure on your employer to allow you to return as soon as possible.

      That’s what just happened to a friend of mine. She was in anesty and her supervisor told her to reach for an item on the AR floor. Neither one had on a vest. She reached for a item that was on an inactive floor. Her supervisor got suspended. She got suspended as well. Amazon put her on suspension for two weeks. She tried to return to work today and they put her on another two weeks and HR told her that she was not allowed to ask questions. They can’t say anything else and threatened to call the police on her. It was a mandatory day and they never called her to return to work. They told her wait for a email and didn’t say nothing else. They didn’t say how long, nothing. Amazon definitely got some illegal work practices. She’s on suspension with pay for an additional two weeks but she wouldn’t never known that if she didnt return to the warehouse.

    I got suspended I was suspended for 3 weeks with no pay
    The investigation came back that I didn’t commit any violation. Job not giving me my
    Job back or back pay? Can I sue?

    Hey I'm suspended pending investigation but nobody has told me wat for all they said was I got a complaint wat could I do they haven't explained wat happened it was supposed to be for 2 days Saturday and Sunday now it's Tuesday and they telling my boss it's on wait Idk wat that means but could you give some advice I'm stressed out and embarrassed Thanks God Bless

      I am sorry to hear what has happened. Your employer should give you an indication of what you have been suspended for and how long the suspension will last. I recommend that you put your concerns in writing to your employer setting out that you need to understand what is happening and that suspension should be for no longer than is necessary to investigate the allegations and it should be for a short period only.       @@RealEmploymentLawAdvice I got I got hit with sexual Harassment I told this girl I like she got some big ass titties before she expressed she doesn't like that talk and we made up this time she accepted my gifts and apology all on camera and still hit me with these allegations I spent time with her after I made those comments we talked for at least 20 minutes at work one week making up then for at least 30 minutes at work where she accepted my apology and gifts her friend was on the phone saying she should give me a shot she agreed we discussed everything we got passed it the next day she told I couldn't have her number I left her a coffee like I usually do now I got allegations but the big titties texted happened on April 10th I just fired yesterday the boss was there when I gave her the gifts and we work in a small one person booth she let me in both times because I knocked and she told we mess with each other boss didn't see me give her gifts but he talked to her ask me to leave the booth so he can talk to her then she let me back in I asked when I found he was even there do you want me to leave the both she said no then she tried to show 2 coworkers the flowers I bought her this is all on camera y'all I just got fired she accepted my apology wat can I do

      Hi Suspension should only be for as long as is reasonable and necessary to investigate the issue. The length of time that is reasonable will depend on the allegation, but your employer should keep you updated and explain why suspension continues to be necessary.
