***** yes animals csn be really helpful. pity that I am not allowed to take my cats inside the house. they've got one big room for them and they can go out in the garden whenever they want. we have a big garden and of course they can go out of tbe garden too. in summer when it's warm in their room, I just lie on the ground and cuddle my cats. sometimes, when they sleep on the floor, I can use them as a pillow. they don't mind. animals can be so helpful in stress

This really helped me! I'm only thirteen, and I suffer from anxiety constantly. The smallest thing can stressed me out, such as dropping a pen under my desk. Like I said, I'm thirteen, but I always worry about what I will do with my life. I'm incredibly young, and while my friends have found out that they want to become lawyers, doctors, firefighters, and many other career options, I'm here thinking about becoming a UA-camr. The career that I dream of pursuing is dangerous... dangerous in the sense that I feel like this is the only career that I think will make me happy, and a hard career to get into.. Just this video alone calmed me down, and I cannot wait to do all of the things you mentioned here. Thank you SO much, Michelle. This is a flawless video, and to anyone out there who suffers from anxiety, as I do, know that you are not alone, and I wish you eternal happiness.

    • @AnastasiaSilvi
      @AnastasiaSilvi 9 років тому +4

I went trough that a lot! And I also have that kind of 'weird' dream job. It's hard, especially when it comes to convincing your parents about your dreams. But run for it anyway if it makes you happy. Nothing beats the feel of joy evertime you go to work. Good luck!

For Muslims, meditation is the prayer. The five daily prayers, our regular recharge. But the stress doesnt let us focus sometimes. I woke up today feeling stressed and i remembered the dream i had which was really a subconcious manifestation of the stress im going through. This video was the first thing i saw today and it really reminded me to make maximum usage of these daily rechargers.

The last months I had a lot of stress . Work and print life.. I didn't get take care of myself, moved on even harder when I felt tired. Now I got my payback: I got sick. My immune system is down. My lungs feel like filled with water and I'm coughing all the time. My doctor told me I probably won't go back to work this year.
Everone told me "slow down!" but I didn't want to listen. Now I know what happens if you don't listen to your body.

A lot has happened in school and out of school and I kept working at myself to try and balance everything. It was all really stressful, the same thing happened to me. I hardly got any sleep and I felt tired all the time. I usually have a good immune system but in the end I got sick - I have a chestly cough and have horrid coughing fits. I thought it was just because it was cold and everyone else was sick too. Turns out...it was that and because of stress building up and not taking care of myself.

im the sort of person that wouldnt like to keep my mind calm. i like to think about the worst that could happen in all my problems and think about solutions to the problems. if i have a really complicated problem i will literally draw a mindmap and a list of things that is ever ever going to happen. sometimes, it soothes me, but sometimes , it kills me.

Same here, I always think of problems that can happen during the school year, for the exams, my future.... My parents always tell that I have to calm down, but I can't, even during the summer or school vacations I stress, and when I de-stress I feel that I'm doing something bad that will push me towards failure, I don't know when this will stop, maybe after I graduate for High School, University..... Who knows?

I just have to say this because it's been on my mind for a while. Bethany and Michelle have the same amount of subscribers and both are doing big big things in life. however, Michelle still finds the time to put out videos, and quality videos at that. and bath any has kinda left everyone in the dust. I've been big fans of both woman since 2009 however, I feel like Michelle cares more for her viewers

Exactly! Like she doesn't even post anymore unless it's a holiday video. She did a New Years video, the day before New Years. And after that she posted a Valentine's Day video. Like if she's THAT busy to not have time to make video she needs to tell people " woah, this is too much. If I do this I won't have time to make videos. And my subscribers are the reason I'm here." It's like she doesn't even care anymore

I always write To-Do-Lists with things like: take a bath, do university stuff, tidy up my room, play videogames, contact XXX...... so I won't forget things, but at the end of the day I only finished all the business stuff, "take a bath" or "play videogames" is something I never have any time for. Even when I have time to relax, it's like all my thoughts are about "what do I have to do 'til tomorrow???" :/

Michelle's videos have helped me so much. I've been watching them since I was in highschool, and now I'm in college. Michelle is one of the youtubers that defined my highschool years. I love to revisit videos I used to watch years ago. I like to remember the feeling 15-year-old me had like, "These people are so cool! Will I ever be like that!" And I'm glad Michelle is one of the people that influenced and inspired me when I was younger.

Watching UA-cam videos and scrolling through Tumblr relaxes me! But sometimes I have to be careful because it can turn into procrastination... Like right now! My graduate thesis is due in a week and a half, and I have yet to write one word that is worth while. I also have a job interview this week! If I don't get a job soon after I finish school this month, I'll have to move back home. I am going to school in NYC now. It has been so hard for me to see one thing at a time. It has jumbled up into this huge monster of stress that wants to eat me alive. I sometimes don't even know if all of this stress is worth it. I'd like just to run into the woods and be a nomad. :/

    My ultimate de-stress is God
He's always there when I need him and when I need to cry, I cry Infront of him
Some people may say he's not real but I feel him there
    I know when he's there
    How do I know?
I feel it in my heart and I instantly feel nothing
No pain, no stress, no crying, I only feel him.
The stress and problems are still there
But so is he, I always feel so much more calmer and relaxed and happy when I pray to him,
    Wether it's good or bad
God is good, God is my savior, God is my healer
    God is my God

Don't use essenzial oils alone! Always diluite them in some other oil, such as jojoba, or almond. Using them directly on the skin can cause irritations an other bad stuff!
For the rest of it, I agree with the tips you mentioned and I'd add also pillows and soft materials in general: a big fluffy blanket can be awsome!
Too bad pet terapy is definetly not for me: I am afraid of animals, all of them, and I really don't like them! I'd most likely need a stress reliever after having touched an animal!

A way to help me unwind is just to see the people I love and listening to their music. (in this case, 5sos) They helped me so much, they help me unwind, their voices are so soothing and beautiful. When I see them do stupid or dorky things, I laugh, and it really pulls me away from reality. It's amazing. I nv thought they wld help me so much, and I am truly so happy to have stumbled across them. Luke's voice cracks, Calum's fall, Michael's change of lyrics and Ashton's craziness. I noe I am being a fangirl here, but trust me. Listen to music, and find and artist that makes you happy. Idc if it's miley cyrus or whuddever, cause if it makes you happy, than ur miley is my 5sos. Also, I have a hobby. It keeps me occupied all day, and I got thro all these days bc of my hobby and listening to my fav artist. I play the violin, and I spend hours composing, finding out how to play songs on it. I sing when I am stressed as well. I sing it out loud so that my brain can only think about the lyrics. and when i mean singing out loud, I mean to the extent of shouting out the song. Taking pics and editing them also occupies up my time. Videos as well. I love vlogging privately the amazing parts of my life, and when sad, I look at it, and tell myself that these days will cm again if I work hard, thus making me move on. The above things help me not end my life. Goin thro depression and bullyin is not the best thing at all. To all victims out there, stand up for ur rights and do what u luv. Block them out by doing things that pleases u. Or even hw. We all dread hw, but wut we dont know is that while doing difficult math sums, our brain blocks out evrything, and it makes us focus on what is more important. God bless all of you, bye

I love the end of this video! It’s SO SO SO true that animals bring joy and relaxation. My cats are my ultimate stress relief as well. The moment I come home they all run to the front door to greet me. And in that instant my entire work day stress is gone. Sort of a bad thing when I see a customer I saw the next day and they ask if I remember them lol

Listening to songs like Yellow Flicker Beat by Lorde, Never Be by 5 Seconds of Summer, or Off My Mind by Allison Grey or Awakening by Aurora Aknes are my chill out songs.
Hearing you say "everything's gonna be ok" really helped me out. I almost broke into tears because i have so much going on and i love you Mish

Joe Hisaishi- Howl's Moving Castle makes me feel utter tranquility...I feel as if I am dancing on clouds in the sunlight wearing a white dress ....that was serious imagery but that's honestly how I feel lol

I have anxiety but I take medication for it so I can't guarantee that these tricks will help. One thing that can work is definitely eating right. I know it's such a buzzkill but it's true: eating your greens and drinking plenty of water can be a good mood stabilizer ( or at least a nice placebo effect. ) Another thing you can do is stretch. Stretching is a good thing to do if you are someone who wants to physically hurt in order to focus on small pains. Of course you have to make sure not to overstretch. The hardest thing but most relieving thing you can do in my experience is accept the fear. This is such a difficult thing because we automatically try to think of something else or something soothing and sometimes the best thing to do is just realize that what you're going through is something you can't really change at this moment and that's okay. It's an uncomfortable feeling and you don't like the way your heart starts to race and your body gets itchy and like your skin is stretched too tight over your bones and that's okay. You are allowed to have these feelings. They're negative feelings and you don't like them, but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to have them. Just breathe and accept what's going on. It's really not as easy as it may seem. It could take you days or weeks or months before you get a firm grasp on forgiving yourself for feeling stressed out. But you can.

A very effective thing i do when i am stressed out or having a lot of anxiety is to simply think in the now. where am i right now? what am i surrounded by right now? i can feel my clothes against my skin. i can feel my bottom touching my chair. i smell my candle. things like that can be very soothing just because they simply take your mind away from the future or whatever it is that is stressing you out and it puts you into the now so you are better able to thinkand realize everything is gunna be okay :)

What if you had former best friends that made you feel stressed out for 8 years? Leaving them was a relief. No more constantly feeling guilty or ashamed. But was it the right thing to do.....?

I went through the same thing! Cutting them off and moving on with my life was the best thing I've ever done! Trust me! It might be hard the first few weeks but you will realize how much better off you are. Do what makes you happy love and enjoy life! Make new friends ☺️

AllTypesofNajma ^_^ I have made new friends and reconnected with old ones. Friends come and go. People change. Who you were friends with 2 years ago may not be your friends now. You just have to be careful who you make friends with.

I'm actually going through that right now and it's the reason why I'm stressed out! This isn't the first time and I'm ready to let go of them! I'm not a person to live a dramatic life with dramatic people . I'm sweet and calm, I don't want energy like that! But I've decided I should do yoga, and just relax ! Thanks to Michelle, I can finally find away to escape ! And find myself ! Be strong! Don't let your frenemies take you down
