Coleen babies are VERY smart. If you keep telling him about babies and how he needs to be gentle with your tummy, he will completely understand and you can find another position to cuddle. Maybe while you’re pregnant you can cuddle while he’s on your side. And when the babies come, they will have different schedules and will go to bed earlier than Flynn, then you can focus on Flynn and cuddle as much as you want. I am sure everything will work out and your cuddle sessions are not over! Make Flynn be super excited for the babies and I am sure he will understand and by himself cuddle both you and the babies!

When my mum had twins after me, every weekend my dad would take the twins and my mum would take me out somewhere. Museum, playground, cafe, anywhere. We would get lots of cuddles and it meant I never felt left out because of the twins. Just an idea for you :)

it totally okay to feel upset about the cuddling stuff. but the cuddles won’t stop, just the positioning will change. i feel like talking to flynn about it would help, getting him to understand that your stomach hurts because of the baby’s - and we need to cuddle this way. he’s a very understanding boy. love you colleen❤️.
it’s also normal for you to have these breakdowns because your body is tired and you need resting. the baby’s will appreciate all of the happiness they suck out of you for the 9 months 😭❤️
Try having him lay his head on your lap. My son did when I was pregnant with my daughter. It helped him still have that time ever after she was born. My husband worked nights so it was just me and allowed me to care for her and cuddle with him. Good luck, remember do what works and is best for your family.
Or get a third pregnancy pillow, and come up with a custom cuddle situation lol

Can I suggest that having a “date night” with each of the kids once a week will not only help the twins grow individually (when they’re older) but also give them each one on one time with you.

My brother is like 23 and he still lays on top of my mom and crushes her. There will never be an end to cuddles.
The cuddling never ends! The only thing that changes is the position lol don't worry about that, maybe try to tell him where he can lay so you don't feel uncomfortable, explain him why, he's 2 and a half he will understand, maybe he can lay next to you holding hands, a side hug, he can lay on your lap etc. You'll find a way, that special connection is always going to be there
You will have so many more cuddles with Flynn. Imagine when the babies are both asleep and Flynn crawls up on you and just snugs you all up. It's just temporary. My twins are 23 and my baby is 21 and they still curl up and snuggle when they visit. They grow up but they are always your babies. Just bigger.

Something that I've done with the cuddling issue, was swapping mine to the side. Kind of hard to explain via comments, but his head/upper body would still be on your chest/neck, then place a pillow below his legs so he's not hanging off the side of you, more horizontal cuddling as opposed to your current vertical 'frog'!! Hope this is helpful, and you're doing great!!

You made a good point that you sort of mentioned the other day, you're not losing your happiness for no reason it's going into these new wonderful babies. This is the same you're not losing just cuddles with Flynn but you're gaining 2 babies snuggling you and cuddling you from the inside. Crying about Flynn growing up is perfectly normal, he's ur first born, ur baby boy. It's special he made you become a mother and that's always special to mom's. You have the memories of the videos to look back on which is nice and now he will be able to share his love with his siblings ❤

The fact that you value cuddling with your kiddo is so, so special. Even if he or you “grow out of it” (figuratively and literally haha) or the moments change, I’m just thinking about what a solid foundation was built in that time with my parents. They would scratch my back until I fell asleep when I was little, and even on nights as a teenager when I was sad that was how my mom would comfort me. He is going to be so grateful - not because he remembers all those moments, but because he will *know* your love for him deep down in his bones.

One quote that I have always thought summed up parenthood is "The days can be long but the years go by so fast". Try to not worry about or grieve how things were. Take pride and happiness in what is. I think it is a natural progression and will be a more gradual, kind transition for Flynn for your night time cuddles to change before the twins arrive.

Today was my last day of middle school and I started crying when I said bye to some of my friends that are going to different high schools. And honestly I'm not angry about it. Being emotional is better than not being able to express emotions.

You are absolutely correct! I am 13 and I haven’t fallen out of that love for cuddling with my parents! In fact, I have enjoyed even more as I have gotten older. (Probably because my ADHD is now being treated with medication 🤣, so now I can actually stay still).

I think it is a huge help to her almost therapy like to talk things out loud she's releasing things she needs to. And other times just needing feedback and I get that because instead of keeping it in your head things always make more sense or get resolved by simply hearing it outloud. Video Journaling instead of writing one lol

A tip for dealing with the weight gain and nonfitting clothing. Pick out 5 of your favorite outfits and buy them in multiple sizes up so you can still enjoy clothing that you like while also not getting discouraged when you can't fit them as well
I lost a lot of weight recently and struggled with the clothes situation, especially pants. Basically I have 1 pair of jeans that I love, and I just kept buying a size smaller and smaller of the same jeans until I plateaued and now I’m actually stocking up on a full wardrobe that fits. The transition stages aren’t fun (especially now that I have the same jeans in 5 different sizes and no use for them), but it helped a lot knowing I could rely on those jeans to fit nicely and look good in the meantime
As i read somewhere: "Clothes are meant to fit us, not the other way around!" :)

When you feel like gagging breathe. But don’t just breathe regularly you have too breathe through your nose for 4 seconds(slow) then hold it for 4 seconds (slow) then breathe out through your mouth for as long as you can. Good luck your so strong I hope this helps!

Try wearing overalls? I wore them a lot in my first pregnancy because I refused to wear maternity clothes lol They were actually really comfortable and didn't squeeze my belly and if you need to you can just undo a button on the side or buy a bigger size 🤷♀️

Overalls and rompers with deep pockets for phones, tissues, crackers and barf bags … just me? 🙋🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ They worked, because I was sick 24/7 for 7 months and couldn’t stand anything touching my belly. But I got an awesome human who now takes care of me!

I don’t know if this helps because I’m definitely not a mom, I’m a teenager, but even now I cuddle and lay with my mom all the time. For years until I was attest like 7 I would still lay on top of my poor mom lol. All to say that Flynn seems to love cuddles and of course you, so this pregnancy won’t be the end of the cuddles and definitely not the affection between you and Flynn. Your feelings are of course still completely valid. Your doing amazing at getting through pregnancy and your an amazing mom! ❤️

I completely get where you're coming from with feeling that guilt, im not a mother, but just hearing about Flynn loves to cuddle into you while he sleeps made me shed a couple of tears. You are strong and you have an amazing support system and a support system here online. So happy and excited for you and your family! You are the best mom!
Can we just recognize that Colleen is so amazing like she is growing two human, taking care of a toddler, and filming videos for us. Colleen if you see this just know that you can do this and if you ever think that it will never be over just think that soon you will have two more amazing little babies. My mom and dad would always cuddle me when I was little. This is why I had a hard time going to sleep once they stopped cuddling me. But (not mom shaming) I wouldn’t give those moment for anything. Have a good day everyone. 😘
