7:13 I'm glad you decided to replace the valve springs and caps. The way those springs were wider than their cap top, even when uncompressed, made me wonder if those were the wrong caps in the first place. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to support the spring by covering the entire top like the Swiftune replacements do. 👍

Cheers, yes the more I think about it the more I think the head has been messed around with before I got hold of it. Glad you enjoyed the video

I have just been dealing with a washer bottle leak on my 1978 Mini 1000. Mine is mounted on the bulkhead next to the wiper motor and the leak was due to a crack in the plastic adjacent to the point where the mounting bracket supports it. I only found it by accident when I removed the bottle to get at something else and left it on my bench, filled it and noticed a couple of hours later that half the fluid had escaped. You might be better off with a MK1/2 style bottle with a metal supporting bracket as the more recent designs put a lot of pressure on the plastic via the mounting bracket.

@@TheGentlemensMotorRacingTeam Always has been. The pot-holes can puncher a 10" wheel. Worse that the curbs at Caerwent, shame they don't run Colerne any more.
Bovington is a good venue if you've not been there?
Best of luck, ill keep an eye out for results.
      Keep your foot in 👍
      Happy days🙂

Siliconeis youre best mate to fix that crack in the bottle. Slob a good bead in and then put the pump in and let it cure

Would a tin opener be OK for opening an Oil filter canister?

Genuinely I don’t know, must be worth a try but I guess it depends on the type of filter. Glad you enjoyed the video
