ikr? I saw one last month at a con. ngl, those kids have been dancing for 2 years, yet their better then I'll ever be. I literally have done dance for 8. Is it bad I'm so jealous of those kids?
@@amishcountryproducts same tho. Younger kids pick up things a lot quicker than older people just because of being more flexible and being sponges for information especially when they are training several hours everyday

I was at a convention and there was one girl that literally WORE A FULL FACE OF MAKEUP AND HER COSTUME LIKE A 300$ COSTUME IN FREACKING BALLET LIKE I COULF SCREAM LIKR WHYYYY

i realised a few years ago that i dance better when i feel glamorous, and im an makeup instagrammer so i often wear wierd makeup anyway! Some days its glam and glitter and some days its blood and gore! It just makes me bring out different emotions in he dance

That was me haha, I was always the worst one and had no friends and it sucked. The worst part is I LOVED dancing but it just didn't pay off so I quit. I'm now playing volleyball and I always wonder what could have been if I didn't quit. Living my best life rn tho

So I have no dance background, but I do work backstage/merch booth at a particular competition, and yeah this is pretty accurate
My two grandmas are the mom. My first professional musical they showed up like 5 hours early together not even joking and they sat in the front seats they knew didn’t get bought and bought the freaking 100$ tickets, talked through the last run through, laughed really loud, called everyone and told them where they were, then they screamed really loudly when I came out.

the last time I went to a convention I was LIVING for the contemporary. Mainly because I'm old and could not for the life of me keep up with the hiphop lol I literally tried a bit and then went and sat down like NAHH this ain't it.But I was also very much the teacher in the back oh god. Hahaha

Never went to a dance anything (ok, ballet show one night back in 1990's, boss couldn't use her tickets), but your ability to show different characters and act as well as dance- honestly, don't they use that in shows on Broadway and stuff? I saw Hamilton on Disney Plus. What I'm saying is even if you don't see yourself 'as that dancer you want to be', I think you bring a lot to your table, don't give up on the dream, there seems to be a whole genre of shows that combine acting and dance.
I was placed with the seniors this year for my con. (May I add, I accidently got signed up?). My teachers totally were the teachers, and I was so stressed the whole time because I'm an awkward, anxiety ridden person, I was separated from my friend/child, and I was never able to pick up the choreography. That, is why I don't like cons. (Even though I have only been to 2...)

OMG! This video is absolutely! I love it. I was definitely the dance Mom saving seats and taking pics. Now I have carried it over to being a Dance Grandma. Still saving seats and taking pics. My adult daughter is now the dance teacher living her best life in the back. I cried through most of this video because it's so funny. At the moment my 5 year old granddaughter is the full out girl with makeup and dance convention costume. Thank you so much for this video. Brought back many memories. Will have to share with my many old dance Moms!

3:16 there was this time I was at a convention and we went back to our seats, (me and my friends) and there was this mom sitting in our spot and I was so confused. Me and my friends thought, “where are our bags?” Cuz our stuff wasn’t there, but we found out that the lady had threw our bags somewhere else because we couldn’t find any of our shoes because they were scattered every where and now I have to buy new half soles.
Omg I want to go to a convention so badly. I’ve only been to one and it was when I was 10 and got put with the 12+ group since the rest of my class were there and I thought I was a bad dancer so I had zero confidence 😂
