- Hey you guys! As you might have noticed, tonight's song is NOT written by Jim Steinman! (WTF??!!) LOL! :)
But, crazier things have happened, right?? :)
My friend Nick suggested this song to me, and I've been having a blast singing it ever since!!
The instrumental (via smule) is from Warmen's cover of this great song!! It was a great surprise for me the first time I sang along to it! I absolutely love it!! I am looking forward to indulging in more of their stuff!

There’s an inviolable law of nature that unforgivingly prohibits anyone from covering the song, “Alone,” originally released by a band named I-Tem, but virally popularized by Heart! Yeah, well, here’s what Lauren Bradley has to say about that: “Fuck that noise!” Rules don’t apply to her when it comes to annihilating the sacrosanct - - *Sacred cows, exit slaughterhouse left!* In vanquishing the invincible, she makes more out of everything at all and, ipso facto, makes all of us natives out here more than just a little restless tonight! Whoa! Jim Steinman didn’t write or produce this song, but his (yeah, I know, but I just can’t help it :) riotously wondering ghost is doubtlessly dancing in delight over *his* Lauren’s newest vid - a table-setting, drive-in-movie-orch ‘neath an “over-the-top” besting of one of the greatest vocal performances in popular music history! Yeah, it’s true - the arrangement by the band Warmen is extraordinary - but, still, the arrangement could have been supplied by a faltering troop of soldiers fiddling around with a frivolous score for cadence and it wouldn’t have mattered a lick. The singing stands “alone” as a stupendous spectacle of sparks, giving off sound the way a storm shuts out the ticking of a clock! COLOSSAL freaking vocals! Thank you, Nick, for suggesting this excellent “nonsteinsong!” And here’s to you Lauren, to the smile on your face at the end, and to your no longer having to get by on your own!

Inquiring minds wants to know: did the smile at the end suggest that you discovered the answer to the question: how do I get him alone? *smiles*
As I have often said words to the effect: your emotional intensity is off the charts! And to have the control to not let your emotional strength get you screeching, unlike how you give us chills: is such a pleasure to experience!
And I have often said: One thing I believe that sets you apart from others is to feel what you are singing. And it brought to mind: Luciano Pavarotti in the sense that: it seem like it would take him a few moments to 'come out' of being into the song that he was singing..as it took awhile for him to open his eyes, after some deep breaths. I kind of see you collecting yourself as you leave behind the song's emotions. *smiles* Bri

Amazing voice! I dont think the recording including the backing track on this video does you justice. Just a suggestion, maybe work out the sound in future videos. My respects to you and your talent otherwise. Great passion!!

Entiendo que cantar es apasionante para muchos y desean hacerlo y demostrar que lo pueden hacer pero covers de temas sin estar a la altura del artista original es decepcionante , musicalmente incorrecto para mi pero talves económicamente provechoso para ella.
