Hey Joe! Wow, that turned out great! Love the pattern of the caps. I always wanted to try something like this with either caps, pennies, or guitar picks would be neat. Hope you are doing well!
Thanks Steve! I bet you have more guitar picks than we had caps. That would look cool. Doing well over here, and looking forward to WBC to catch up with you in person! Hope things are good on your end as well
When your caps are set use a coloured waterproof tile grout to fill in between the gaps let it set will save you a ton in epoxy just then do a flood coat
Thanks! Yeah, they had put it outside, but I recommend to keep it indoors because almost every thick resin will yellow. However, over the years it hasn't yellowed or cracked, and still looks great. Have fun!
How much epoxy resin did use for this one? I have bottle caps collected and same sized table, so was wondering how much of epoxy should i buy.? Also, would it make a difference if you poured all the resin all at once instead of doing it layers?
Hey Disha, I used about 1 liter of resin, but depends on the size of your table. And yes, you should pour just a little to begin with to make the bottle caps stick. Otherwise they will float to the top. Also, resin needs to be poured in small layers so it wont have an exothermic reaction and get hot. Hope this helps!
Very nice idea, beautiful ❤!
Thank you! Make one for you!
This turned out great. I didn't think with the multiple layers of resin it would be so clear but wow. Good job. My kind of table...
Thanks! Yeah, the different pours blend together well. Can't wait to see yours!
Lol he just chalenged you xd

It turned out amazing, I definitely want to do something similar, thank you for sharing & inspiring me
Awesome bro! Glad it helped! Looking forward to seeing your creation with epoxy (and possibly bottle caps) 💪
OMG! That's really awesome!
You know what is better...an inverted boat!
Cool video and project. Mahalo for sharing!🙂🐒
Thanks! Will make more soon!
Beautiful 😍
Thanks! The Guitar Hero project is my favorite...so far

Thanks for the info! Good tip
That looks very cool 🛠👍😊
Thanks! Give it a try yourself!
Is the table in the sun? just wondering if it changed color (yellow) over time outside. I'm looking to make a similar table. Great work.

Looks great! (P.S. Who makes that filtered mask you‘ve got on during routing?)
Thanks! It's a JSP Powercap from Yandels (our local friends). It's amazing

Can you use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun?
yeah, that can work
What mix of epoxy do you use
1:1 of resin and hardener
That’s dope but not a peace ☮️ sign
if you drink enough beer it is!
😂 i immediately noticed the same thing. I'm a hippie so i knew right away. Its actually a Mercedes Benz emblem.
Did he say rust on the CORNER of the round table?
IKEA tables are like SketchUp: if you zoom in close enough, you'll see all circles are made up of thousands of small lines 😂
Great but why not using hot gluegun to stick them to the table and they put the epoxy
That's a good idea! (We didn't think of that)
Que produto que passa depois de lixar ??
I used a company called Arty Resin 👍
Sorry to tell you this but that's not a Peace sign, it's the Mercedes logo, lol ;)
same, same but different!
I said the same thing. 😢 That would be super disappointing after doing all that.
ohhhhh that's not a peace sign
Haha, I keep hearing that...
Someone likes Portuguese beer
Sim! Stout Super Bock every day, haha!
I love the table but I'm sorry to tell you that's not a ' Peace' sign. Lol. That's a Mercedes Benz emblem.
If the hippies made a car
You missed a leg on the.peace sign. Sort of a Mercedes sign
Same same but different 😂
