- It only takes a minute girl
It only takes a minute girl
To fall in love, to fall in love
It only takes a minute girl
To fall in love, to fall in love
What's an hour of the day
We throw at least one away
And walk the streets for half the year
To try to find a new career
If you get a flu attack
For thirty days you're on your back
Doing not a single dance
Baby give me half a chance
It only takes a minute girl
To fall in love, to fall in love
It only takes a minute girl
To fall in love, to fall in love
Now in the unemployment lines
You can spend your life reading signs
Waiting for your interview
They can shoot the whole day for you
Now winter's gonna turn to spring
And you haven't accomplished a thing
So baby can't you make me just a little time
Cause you never know what's on my mind
It only takes a minute girl
To fall in love, to fall in love
It only takes a minute girl
To fall in love, to fall in love
Dance, come on now
Dance, come on now
For some strange reason, this cover version of Tavares' 'IT Only Takes a Minute' by the British boy band Take That has always reminded me of Canada.
yeah man ;D i came here also when i saw Neil dancing to it ^^
Who remembers Neil dancing to this in caravan club?
Clorox Bleach I'm sorry I have no idea what you're talking about
It is from the inbetweeners
Clorox Bleach meeee bro that’s why I’m here
Neil dancing, then picks up a punky red head girl ... lol
🤣🤣
Good old 90s...
Great song
love the tunes
Inbetweeners
Neil dancing lol
Who's Neil??
Neil is a character from British sitcom "The Inbetweeners" .
“If you get a flu attack” LMAOOOOOOOO😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Awesome song ❤
LOL, the first few seconds of this song showing up in an episode of _Mum_ (played by a 90-year-old dude on a boombox, no less).
Eurobeat cover of Tavares' masterpiece.
Magneto the boy band sings this too but in Spanish, it’s called “solo necesita amor”
Wowww...
It sounds strange to hear kiddie boppers sing it. "In the unemployment line?"
...on second thought, with the way the world is...maybe kids do know about the unemployment line....
Panny Baek ha ha
--- I think it depends rather which country you live in... for example, in Spain youth unemployment is 32%.... How about the song by Bruce Hornsby and The Range called "That's [Just] The Way It Is" ...??
Best leave it in archives.
Nice

Year And Country please tank you
_Mum_ brought me here.
The original version by Tavares is Soulful, Gritty & Muscular.
This one's like cotton candy,
lollypops and limp.
But okay, I get it. It's a Boy Band so the vocals are SUPPOSED to be sweet and dreamy for the young teenyboppers, girls who are too old for dolls and too young to date.
So, I'm a musician and one thing I DO like about this is the percussion
used in the recording. I am NOT familiar with this groups origins so I don't know if that is based in Indian or Arabic percussion. Regardless,
it's such a cool sound. (Y)
Regarding my overall opinions, that I don't really dig this version overall.
WHO CARES WHAT I THINK. RIGHT?
All art is subjective and wide open to individual opinions. I'm sure there's a lot of people who really like this. And that's all that really matters.
Techno arrangement
robbie williams was in this group?
Yuh
groovy
it aint got lyrics
I'm only here because of caravan club.
First time I've read the lyrics they don't make sense
Are you subversively mocking this place or are you actually enjoying this hell?
what year was this? 76 or 77?
libertarianation1 1867.
Like 1992 I think
1992
libertarianation1 Was done in 77 by ... TAVARES - It Only Takes A Minute
original lyrics c1977
new music - c1992
The original was penned by songwriters/producers Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter, for R+B group TAVARES in 1975, and Take That's souped-up dance version was released 17 years later, in 1992......Do you really have to stand in puddles in the pouring rain wearing a waterproof mac to sing this song....... or what???
Why bother with this crap when you can hear Tavares' original and far superior version?
