3:35 that tightened, higher voice wasn't V/Taehyung. Taehyung was singing a lower, deeper note. The higher one was Jimin, off-camera.
I just wanted to clarify that. V is more technical and was the one singing all the really impressive parts. Jimin and Jungkook were messing around with him.

V aka Taehyung is the only baritone vocalist in bts, the other baritones are rappers so we never see then messing around like this with them but laughing at the back lol
There is another clip of tae where they were doing a dress rehearsal for their tour, and he turned their song The Truth Untold to opera style. I can try to dig up the link for that if you want to watch it.

taehyung is a great vocalist. his vibrato is one of the best i've ever heard.
I have always wanted Taehyung (V) to star in musical sometime in his career, because I think he has potential and is also a good actor. People criticize his singing, dancing and acting quite harshly and while he isn't a technical master he has talent- he's also improved over the years. It's nice to see someone appreciate him.
People who criticize are the ones who can't sing or dance if their life depended on it. I can't sing but at least I'm adult enough to admit it! V's voice & dancing is amazing!!
@ᄂDEADSOONᄀ He's friends with Park Hyo Shin, who in the 2nd part of his career, began to do musicals (he's been the lead in 4 so far 2013-2018) and he'd be able to give Taehyung good advice.

Yaaaah, I was pretty impressed with that vibrato at the end. His vibratos are the richest and strongest in the group and he can do them so well regardless if he’s using lots of vocal closure or just a little, and that’s impressive to me. He’s got a perfect voice for theatre. Unfortunately, most pop songs are written for tenors and, even though V has a really good range, singing so high over all these years resulted in him not developing his lower register as much. Which is regrettable, because the tone and color of his voice are absolutely beautiful. His voice is my absolute favorite. As much as I love Dimash and truly think he’s the best and most versatile vocalist, V’s voice is the most beautiful to me.

One hundred percent agree! They had in their hands something truly unique in the industry and instead of exploiting it they have so far only done what they could to fit it in the same box as everything else. Jimin, Jungkook and Jin shine so much and so much more obviously even for first time listeners because they are in their element and it is a shame that Taehyung has only had few instances to really show what his own individual light is. Not that he doesn’t sound beautiful in their performances anyways but even casual listeners would notice his talent faster even if he didn’t sing all the high notes in any given song if they gave him more chances to showcase his baritone voice with his unique dark tone.

THE REASON i got into bts was by listening to V’s voice in a recommended video on yt 😭
Some people were being unnecessarily hostile. I enjoy hearing people talk about what they’re knowledgeable about. When it’s about people that are goofing around and not being serious, that gives experts the opportunity to explain what makes mimicries unlike the actual art form.
Honestly, Taehyung (V) is remarkable and never ceases to surprise me. He always has hidden talents like this up his sleeve. Considering he’s untrained in opera and only picked this up because things like opera, classical, and classic music interest him, he truly has a knack for it.
I love Taes voice so much, it’s really beautiful. Can’t wait for his solo album to drop, hopefully we’ll hear more of his range than just the higher end Kpop producers prefer.
I wish and for his solo album its all produced and written by him so i believe that his genre and style is more into jazz, soul and r&b so there would be lot of different genre on his album.

About Taehyung (the deep ass voice that is deeper than the Pacific) there is a whole compilation of him singing "opera" for fun in various occasions. His voice is literally the most beautiful thing I ever heard.

Yes, V's voice is amazing! What's even more amazing is that he knows the lyrics to the opera songs (arias?). In a couple of videos, you see that he doesn't sing them in gibberish or la-la-la-la. This tells me that he actually listens to and appreciates opera music aside from other genres. So impressive for a young man trained to be a k-pop idol.
His music range, likes and appreciation off is incredible. Young man has depths not usually seen in the pop music world.

Big Hit/Hybe has invested in V’s voice for years. That voice is the reason for his recent It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. His voice has radically improved year on year. All the best in 2023.

I’m coming to this reaction a year on but just thought I’d say that Taehyung has a unique quality to his voice, very suited to jazz. Have you watched Onew from SHINee sing opera on stage? He is a tenor and his voice survived an operation on his vocal chords. I would love to see him duet with Taehyung. As you say it’s not often you see artists just messing around but that’s the joy of BTS. We get to see them as themselves.

Taehyung's vocal is unique and powerful
honestly, bts goof around a lot of the time. it's one of the things I love the most about them. they love to have fun with each other, they really enjoy their time together although they are probably one of the busiest artists in the world (I heard some other artists who collaborated with them say that BTS are insanely busy), they just love being together and doing anything as a group. but they are talented as heck and even more dedicated to practise. they love us a lot, so they do their best to perform stuff as perfect as they can. but we also love their crackhead side (honestly, bts are crackheads. this little clip of them fooling around here is nothing. they are idiots. talented, good-hearted, emotional, inspiring and lovable idiots.
i would love to see you discover more sides of bts! they have 3 rappers and 4 vocalists and each of the rappers have their own mixtapes (i would love to see you react to Daechwita by Agust D (he's called Suga when he performs in BTS) and there's tons of other amazing stuff so that I don't even know where to start but I'm sure that some other viewers of your amazing live stream have some requests too so maybe you could do a BTS livestream? I don't know if I could be there live but I'd definitely stay on the lookout for it! I might even join your Twitch community. You're a cool guy and your reactions are so enjoyable. When they were showing Tae on screen, but you mentioned a squeezed tone that you referred to as fake opera, that was Jungkook cutting up in the background. The first time I saw this video you reacted to was right after it came out. I commented and praised Tae’s potential to do musical theater, which led to spending some time trying to explain to fans why I did not have the same opinion of that pinched tone. I explained it was not the right sound for opera, but to no avail. I felt vindicated when you explained it so well! Actually, Frank Wildhorn wants to cast Taehyung as Jekyll, so I can only imagine what getting the training for the part would do for his future! I hope he takes the role. He’s actually a brilliant actor and already won a best actor award for his work in K-Drama, Hwarang, for which he also sang an OST that was nominated for a Melon Award. He definitely has the right voice for the role and is known for his duality in performances, and what is Jekyll & Hyde if not a study in duality?!

Having been around musicians and vocalists most of my life (sadly I can appreciate not participate), it is fun to see artist's goof into other genre's showing their true range and depth.
The guy you're wondering about is V. Fun fact he grew up poor on a farm and he went to a music audition to support his friend auditioning, he got pressured into auditioning and he was the only one to win.
It's that 1 and a 10000 chance of this misfit group that was by random chance thrown together.
That is what is so crazy, it took a lot of things to happen for all 7 to come together in the same group. Makes me believe a bit more in certain things being meant to happen. 🙂
He wasnt poor, and he wasnt pressured, the audition people just saw him and convinced him
Just realised how pjms go around claiming that vocal coaches and producers or captain america said that * voice and vocal range is best in BTS. Commented today on a Butter video about Taehyung and appreciated his vocals and growth. Pjms attacked me and named me a solo when my bias is not even in vocal line. Anyway, watched over twenty reaction videos and learned that PJMS are liars and so insecure of Taehyung and Seokjin (not including Jungkook because I think he's very stable and he's the main vocalist because the genre of BTS suits him the most). Every video that I watched, the vocal coach appreciated Taehyung's unique voice, his way of delivering a performance, the changes he does with both lower and higher register, all so easily and with that smoky texture still very prominent. They also appreciated Seokjin and the only reason why they're both not noticed at first glance due to vocals is lack of lines. Now with Taehyung he is the only one out of vocal line who had to adapt to higher tones, BTS songs are all about tenors not for a baritone once in a blue moon singer like him. He's the most versatile member of BTS and the reason why he isn't the main / lead vocalist is again the songs of BTS are made to be for the tenors like Jungkook, Jimin and Jin (since Jin don't get enough lines very so he's shadowed by the other two). It's not anybody's fault that people fail to notice the versatile standard that Kim Taehyung is because you get a lot of understanding of his talent by his solo tracks which are not very much highlighted by anyone other than Taehyung biased armies so people miss out on his talent. He's my favorite member of vocal line and will remain so. I can't wait for his mixtape to drop since we all know Kim Taehyung is full of surprises and he'll serve so good in his own mixtape with jazz and classical touch along with the right mix of comfort and warmth which are always present in his songs. If you're a new army. Don't depend on any "Who is Kim Taehyung?" videos with millions of views because I don't think they do justice to him and his talents. Just take your time and get to know him by yourself. Listen to his songs and feel the comfort that I'm talking about along with understanding his vocal range. You'll grow to love him just like I did.

His solo songs out of BTS : Sweet Night (was supposed to be in his mixtape), It's definitely you (this is for people who appreciate the vocalists Taehyung and Jin).
Songs on SoundCloud : Winter Bear, Scenery, 4'O clock (my personal favorite cuz my bias RM is the other singer along with Taehyung and believe me it's worth it) and the latest one which is Snow Flower (the other singer is Peakboy, a very good friend of Taehyung. You can check out his songs as well. He's good.)
Special mention : Blue & Grey (A song which was supposed to be in his mixtape but they ended up including it in BTS album BE. He has been credited as the main writer and producer of this song.)
Please get to know him before attacking people who appreciate him more than you do. We put him above the other members of vocal line because even when BTS songs are not according to his comfort and suitable to his baritone range. He has still managed to get so much appreciation by working on himself and adapting to whatever the situation demanded from him.

They always have fun with everything big or small things.
They have their own comedy show, Run BTS, so yeah - they do have fun! 😂 One of the unique things about BTS is that we get to see them be humans as well as amazing performers as they show themselves travelling, practicing, arguing, chilling while cooking, shopping for groceries and so on. They put it all out there for people to see. It makes them relatable.

I love Tae and I am ARMY, but bless his heart. I love how much HE loves Opera. It would be great if he could follow his passion for musical acting to develop the skills and his voice in that manner. Perhaps as a later life project?

I love his voice a lot too, the reason I got into the BTS scene, the only Korean music talent I really love, and probably the main reason I will be staying.
