I have a question. When you say not to over do it on showing I am in pain or it may come across as if I'm not really trying or that I'm faking. What are we truly supposed to do, go beyond the limits that our bodies are telling us to stop due to severe pain from stretching/reaching/bending? Do we possibly injury ourselves worse so the evaluator doesn't think we are faking?
I'm being asked to do an FCE when I'm doing full duties and I'm confused. WCB is paying for Physio twice a week but my neck is taking a long time to get better. It's just been a slow recovery. I'm trying hard not to get angry but this whole process over the past 3 months has been very annoying for me. I just want to not be in pain at the end of the day. I want to be able to enjoy the weekends again. I start to think the whole point of WCB is to psychologically destroy you. To wear you down until you lie and say you're all better and just deal with the chronic pain for the rest of your life.
was really thinking this video was about prep before hand . such as if it’s a good idea to stretch , take tylenol or what is or isnt allowed in terms of pain management
I am thinking of canceling my FCE test! I have mri, which shows that I have 4 bulging discs in the cervical spine and mri that shows I have 3 bulging discs in the lower back. I also have Ekg that shows I have AFIB, I don't know why the QME Dr would even request me to have this test?
Thank you. I am going to FCE soon and I am in so much pain it terrifies me. Your advice is soothing my nerves.
I'm glad this helped! And I hope your FCE goes smoothly :-)

It's a delicate balance for sure, but NO I never recommend risking future injury, so don't go that route!

Those are good points. I would definitely warm up before hand and take your medications as prescribed by your doctor.

Have you talked to your doctor about your concerns? And has your doctor placed any activity limitations on you (such as no lifting over 10#)?
Thank you
