- "Close Call" is my favorite Rilo Kiley tune from the new "Under The Blacklight" album, and this clip features a stellar performance on JOOLS HOLLAND. Watching this put a smile on my face all day long and maybe it will do the same for you.
I work nights in a television studio and used to come home in the morning to find absolutely nothing interesting to watch on television. The last thing I wanted to see was more commercials. And I'm not really interested in watching talk shows and soap operas.
Then I discovered the commercial free music channel RAVE. HD quality video and pretty much perfect 5.1 sound. A few times a week they run "Later With Jools Holland" in the morning. Jools has great taste in music and each show runs the gamut from pop, rock, folk, Celtic, African, to Joanna Newsome. Something for everyone. Suffice to say I love this show.

I first heard this song when I was on the plane going on holiday. I had it stuck in my head for the whole week! I love it!
If I enjoy something I don't mind giving credit to whoever provided it, and I have been called far worst than silly.
been in the dark, but now I see. never heard this song till half hour ago. going to stay in my head till I'm dead. it's fall 2022. reminds me so much of sandy denny. I could just imagine her singing this marvelous piece. love Jenny more with each song I discover as I go down her path.

Jenny is beauty incarnate. I saw them at the Greek in LA last June. They opened with this one. AWESOME show!
I saw them on this tour in London at Shepherd's Bush Empire and they were awesome, the backing band features the support group Grand Ole Party...

I love this band but theyre just not the same. I like when they were a staright up 4 piece. Not having extra members on the side to hit a triangle and such. I like to go on here and also look at there older videos when they would play in small crappy clubs but they were awesome around the "execution of all things era" - now theyre just whatever. If you dont agree, then you probably havent been listening to these guys has long as I have. Also, its just my opinion.

I'd be privy to thinking so, but the fact that the user put Joanna Newsom in her own category in that her music is so weird she doesn't fit into the others is too odd to be fake.

It's true it is like a secret club. One I'm proud to be in. It's astonishing that so many people are oblivious to their music. There was a time when their music would've been climbing to the top of the album charts. Ah...who cares...we know how great they are. ; )

I've just read about them in two years old czech music magazine... and they sound really amazing =)..
There was a time when a song like this would've been a top 10 or even #1 hit. Rilo Kiley is one of the best bands around today and way underrated. Jenny, I love you : )
