I come from a metal background too, so it was a bit wild to hear something from my recent musical history reinterpreted the way I probably would've written it back in my earlier days. Great guitar playing too!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for composing the single best track in the Destiny franchise. I literally stop everything I'm doing to listen to this song when it comes on around the Dreaming City and lose my mind every time. A true inspiration ❤️
Thank you so much! You composed a wonderful piece, one of my favorite in all of gaming. Some of the harmony was a real challenge to work out but so fun. Especially the really colorful, textural chord in the second half of the big chorus (5:00 exactly in my video) I listened to it hundreds of times (I went with a VImaj7 in third inversion but I'm still not sure if it's correct!). A lot of the covers of this track I'd heard were really interpretive and I wanted something heavy but very true to the original piece. Trying to voice all the strings, brass etc. for multiple guitars was a blast. Thanks for your work and comments!
Just wanted to say I adore your work on this original track, especially the parts in the second phase. It has the most powerful momentum of any Destiny track IMO, and it works so well with all the different Dreaming City tracks it uses. It has to be my favourite piece in all of gaming, hands down.
I gotta say that the entire Forsaken soundtrack is some of the best but this one...when I first heard it I got chills. The music totally fits the chaos of the fight. Amazing work!
I think this might be the best cover of this theme I've heard! That was remarkable!! So glad you included the Inner Light part as well as the rest of the high action section of the track that isn't heard during the raid encounter.
That inner light is so freaking amazing, can we also appreciate the technical work to pick just the right chords and interpreting it just perfectly for guitar?
this is such a good cover, it is really unforchante I cannot find the full OST on any music streaming cite! My fave music in the game, and you made it into one of my fave genres, it must have been a hell of a lot of work to create this cover, so fantastic job
@@Timmysthirdbirthday I realized I never responded. GOAT is an acronym for GREATEST OF ALL TIME. By saying someone is “GOATED” you’re giving them a compliment by saying they’re the best or among the best at what they do.
Last Wish is a fantastic raid. Really REALLY wish Bungie would put out another one with this many encounters. Riven was top tier. Also, the entire soundtrack is amazing.
Hoping for witch queen to hold up like last wish did, deep stone crypt was really good and is still regarded as one of my favourites. We can hope we get another difficult raid that has an OST to match this
Master last wish would be the pinnacle of pve in the game by far the damage check would make the cheese near enough impossible making people do it legit which if you haven’t done it it’s extremely fun and shows a raids full potential
@@SentientMattress531 If they did make a master they should probably make Cali and Morgeth a little harder too. Those are also kinda joke encounters. Even without cheese.
That’s reasonable. Another requirement for me is for the adept guns to look good. Timelost gins from VoG are so nice, adept VotD weapons are decent, but Harrowed guns from King’s Fall are ugly in my opinion
@@ethannelson8656cali just needs an extra mechanic to make her more challenging for a master Morgeth I’d say is fine just needs more hp. Riven needs enough hp she can’t be cheesed or entirely fix the cheese
I will say, this is good, the only criticism I have is that I felt the treble was at times a bit too soft, and overtaken by the bass. Otherwise, absolutely excellent work. Good stuff!

We need master last wish so we can have this in the game.
