I found this video helpful times a million. I’m binging on your videos. Although the program has changed, what you taught is very helpful. Thank you.❤️🥰💕😘😍👍🏼👏🏼🤗
Thank you Ashley - another fabulous tutorial - again I have learn some new pointers about various commands. Will have to try some of these myself - I love that you give the steps for the examples so we can duplicate what you have done and try for ourselves and practice.
I have SNC Canvas bookmarked. When I open it, it looks nothing like what yours does with all the icons across the top. Does it not automatically "update" when I open or do I need to do something else? I'm still learning on this and am confused.
well, I must have the latest update because I have all of the things like a dashed line and the new logos but I still don't have the edit features unless I click on the tab. how do I get those to shoe without clicking on edit first?
Actually there is a new die out by technique tuesday that I would love to be able to do in canvas - it is a chevron shapes inside a long skinny arrow shape...I'll have to try this out using yur above techniques....
Have you done card patterns for the type of cards that have all the flip outs and folds on the sides and so on. There are a lot of different ones. I keep saying I am going to find a tutorial with all the measurements so I can create a pattern on the scan and cut. But I have not yet. Thanks for sharing. You give me lots of new ideas and ways to achieve them easier.
It is hard to explain because I am not sure of the word to do it. But there are cards like for example the gate fold which is one of the simplest ones. I just can't remember the names of all the others. But to map out the card with all the cut lines and fold lines in the right places. Then when you want to use one of these cards you do not have to do all the measuring again. All the slots and fold line are there. You can make it any size with the scan and cut once you have the pattern basics done and saved. I will see if I can find some of the names for these cards. Any way I am sure your followers would love to see and have the project as a down load. If you were looking for new ideas to do on the scan N Cut.
I dont know, that video is 8yrs old, the software has developed and changed over the years, theres now also a download version as well as the original online version
I've played with these shapes also to create new shapes, I also bring up the nodes and play with them also. Sometimes they come out fine and other times they come out a bit bumpy where I don't want bumps or sharp points. I'm sure it's just a little more patience and tweaking. If you have any suggestions I will gladly try them.
Patricia Forward sometimes its just a case of zooming in and deleting or moving nodes, every file will be different so you will just have to play until you get the desired look.
Hello lovely applelover53. I'm wondering if you can guide me, through snc, on how to make a triangle - equal 3 sides, with a jagged edge around all 3 sides. Snc shapes have squares, rectangles, circles & ovals with jagged edges, but not with the triangles! Many thanks.
+Li D (0ut0fFocusWot) i thought i had done a video on that, but its the same principles as this video but with a triangle ua-cam.com/video/uZIHUdpJzxQ/v-deo.html
You have edit icons across the top of your screen so you don't have to click on the edit tab to get to them, can you tell me how to make my screen like that?
+applelover53 interesting, because I only downloaded the program fairly recently and I thought it updated automatically. I'll look for the video though.
+Susan Gardner Yes what you see in Canvas is automatic once you log in, this video was done very recently so this is what i see now ua-cam.com/video/yWShTnC9VWE/v-deo.html. try logging out and back in alternatively try another browsers, as i now some windows users have problems, unless you use safari like me on a Mac
+Susan Gardner Its fine, SNC Canvas updates automatically, so as long as you log out after use, the next time you log in any updates will show automatically. So you will always be seeing the latest version. Machine updates are different you have to do those links to those are on my blog here bit.ly/1KeJjG2
Another great tutorial! I have been trying to recreate the stitched border shapes you get with something like these: mftstamps.com/die-namics-stitched-rounded-rectangle-stax I have tried everything but can't get it to do a stitched border. I imagine like what you have shown here, once I get one shape I can do it for anything. Thanks in advance.
yes thats just an inward outset done in scanncut canvas, you can assign it as a dashed or drawn line. I think i covered that in the scanncut canvas October update video on my channel

Thank you for figuring all this out for us. It may be a pain but once it's done you can make any size box you need; brilliant!
Yes you are welcome, thats the beauty of SNC, group everything needed and resize to any size. Thank you
Thank you lesson well covered cant wait to have a go
I like the way you manipulate basic shapes to create new shapes. It will give me the confidence to be more experimental.
Great, have fun and thank you
You are brilliant thanks for taking the time to help us all
+Tracey Tidey You are welcome

Doreen G I am not sure what you mean, but i may have covered the technique required to make it in another video, if this one doesn't help you.

search card folding techniques on google. Look under images. These are the card ideas I am taking about. Hope that explains.
why do i not have the buttons at my top where you have selected weld?

+applelover53 Thank you for your reply. I can't work out how to do the zig-zags around the triangle.
+Li D (0ut0fFocusWot) Sorry i thought you meant scollops around the edge
+applelover53 No, but can you help me with zig-zags around the edge? Many thanks :-)
+Li D (0ut0fFocusWot) The easiest way would probably be to use a zigzag border from canvas i think there is one and weld it to your triangle

+Susan Gardner ScanNCut Canvas was updated last year and they changed how it looks, I did do an update video it will be in the Canvas playlist.
