Haha Simon... It's funny you should say that. Darren suggested that we should challenge ourselves to do exactly that. 🤣🤣🤣 Does rescuing Praying Mantis from getting squashed during the harvesting of Olives count..?!? If so, we made several rescues in Albania...🤣🤣💜🤟
Love watching you guys each week and all the places you two end up as you truly are taking us with you to all the places you go so a big thanks all the way from Glasgow
Hi Willie...! Welcome to the family. You are very welcome and great to hear from you. Where has been your favourite place that we've visited so far..?!? Much love, Alison and Darren 💜🤟
Always. We couldn't leave him caught up in the electric fence. He was so distressed. He immediately calmed as soon as I (Alison) put my hand on him. In my book animals rate first, humans second. 🤣 Thanks for your comment. Much love. 💜🤟
@cartoonkrays3308 Yes, he thanked us and shook our hands. If we had left the fence, the whole herd could have escaped if they wanted to. The little goat that made friends, had walked over the downed fence, but thankfully followed us all the way over the field to speak to the farmer and then followed us all the way round the field to where the motorhome was parked. We think the farmer said we could take her with us..! 🤣🤣 If only. 😍💜🤟
I worked in Austria one summer and it is very expensive. It’s actually better to see in spring and summer so I wouldn’t worry about missing out as you would not be able to justify the prices as most of the views are covered in snow or mist at this time of the year no different from the other countries you are passing through which are equally beautiful . It was lovely to see the Chitty Chitty bang bang fairytale castle.x
Thanks for the recommendation Sarah. We will definitely go back in less chilly times next time, when we've managed to save a bit of expendable cash to cover the park-ups. 🤷🏼♀️ The castle was fab-u-lous...! 😍😘💜🤟
Hey Gareth..! Absolutely..! Apparently Ludwig II fell in love with the view and there was a ruined castle there already, so I'm guessing the first lot had to carry them, at least the second lot would have been able to use the road. We think..! 🤣🤣 Thanks for watching, much love 💜🤟
Pity about Austria but Italy made up for it. Neuschwanstein Castle is fab, I vaguely remember a mad, cave like bedroom there when I visited 30 years ago.. or am I imagining it 🤔
No Dave, you are indeed not imagining it. There was a room, called the Grotto, that looked like a gnarly cave, completely artificial including stalactites, which has its own garden room type conservatory. It was very random. 🤷🏼♀️💜🤟
As usual a fabulous video, lots of great footage and really useful information, Thank you. I hope I can share a tip back before your journey through Italy and primarily Pompeii, please do try and also go to the excavations of Herculaneum, it's a must see and less tourist focused, one not to miss ;-)
Hi Peter..! Herculaneum is most definitely on our list to visit. I (Alison) have been obsessed with Vesuvius and the destruction that it caused, for a very long time. We welcome any other suggestions you may have. Thanks for watching and your kind words. Much love 💜🤟
Thanks for the video. On Austria, when I drove through it (to the Dolomites) by motorbike we avoided the main roads so no need to buy a pass/vignette ;-) But for the rest ... prefer Italie above Austria only based on: the roads and food. Hope you have the same mountain experience as I had (and you expected from Austria)
Hey Towah..! We thought Austria was pretty, but definitely liked Italy better. The Dolomites were incredible and we loved where we stayed in Italy, until the -10°c was forecast. Then we hot footed it south to find some warmth. 🤣💜🤟
Hi guys, well Austria is scrapped from our list then 😂 It sounds a financial nightmare. We dont mind paying, and in the UK we're used to high prices, but that's another level of extortionate. The Innsbrook park up sounds like a nightmare! When you're on a long trip and have to make the pennies go further, you have to weigh up if something is worth it for the expense, so it sounds like you made the right choice to leave. Aaah Neuschwanstein 😍 We so nearly went but ran out of time. Very beautiful on the outside. Now that's where you can justify the price when you're living out a childhood dream of sorts 🥰 Lovely caves at the end, I'm surprised at Italy being cheaper, well so far at least. It will be interesting to see how you get on there when you go back as I feel like people don't do as many van vlogs from Italy compared to other "big" European countries. Anyway have fun wherever you are! Take care both ❤🤟
Hey guys, We definitely couldn't have missed Neuschwanstein. 😍 Italy was very much cheaper. Will it be the same when we get to Pompeii, Rome, Turin etc..?!? We'll find out some time down the road. Caves and water are always a great combination. 😍 Realtime, we're currently in Greece. Hope you're still enjoying Spain. 😘 Much love and safe travels to you. 💜🤟
Shame on you Austria it is as it was always was in that country. They don’t want any foreigners and doing there best to keep you out. Great video and cover of your trip and the castle WoW thanks for shareing.
Hi Sandra, I think they just want foreigners with more money than we have. 🤣 We'll try again in future, when/if we have saved up some expendable cash. 🤷🏼♀️ Thanks for watching and your comment. Much love. 💜🤟
Wild camping isn't legal in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland so why should it be free in Austria? There are plenty of camping places where you can pay to stay and if you do your homework you can stay for relatively little amount.
We are not from the UK, we are from Spain and are very spoilt with camping options. Most are free and we've never paid over 15€ a night. For us 40+ euros a night that Austrian campsites wanted was not "relatively cheap". We have a tight budget and can't afford what we consider to be expensive campsites 🤟♥️
So this week we got to tick of one of our buckets list items and a childhood dream for Alison. What's on your bucket list?
Great video again guys! Thanks😊
You're very welcome Simon. Which was your favourite location..?!?
Thanks for watching. 💜🤟
Goat Rescue 101 😂😂😂. Alison may have her own spin off show! . 1 x rescue in every country you guys are taking us too.
Thanks 😊
Haha Simon... It's funny you should say that. Darren suggested that we should challenge ourselves to do exactly that. 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks Pat. It was gorgeous. 💜🤟

@findingxanadulife yes you did the right thing there. The interaction with the farmer was funny too but I think he was grateful x

That castle was amazing. Imagine the poor sods humping them stone blocks all the way up there to build the bleeding thing. 🤣

We will try again later, when we can save up a bit more expendable cash. Austria did look really lovely. We haven't given up on it completely. 😜💜🤟
